Google Earth is a free downloadable application for personal use. TO INSTALL NEW MEMORY MODULES IN YOUR APPLE POWERBOOK G4: 1. Shut down your computer. Disconnect the power adapter, phone cord, and any other cables connected to the computer. Turn the computer over (See Figure 1) and remove the battery by using a coin or flathead screwdriver to turn the battery locking screw 90 degrees clockwise. (NOTE: Please follow all ESD requirements.) 2. Using a Phillips size 00 screwdriver, unscrew the memory door and remove it from the bottom of your computer (see Figure 2). 3. If you already have a memory card installed in the slot, and you wish to use your new memory card in addition to it, you must remove the existing card to gain access to a second slot underneath the existing memory card. Once you do that, you may insert either memory card in either slot. SpeedTools ZoneBench is a benchmarking application designed to measure the read and write speeds over an entire local storage device. That device can be either logical (such as a disk volume which is actually a RAID array made up of two or more disk drives) or physical (such as your internal ATA disk drive). ZoneBench also has the capability to measure the speed of read-only volumes such as a mounted CD or DVD data disc. ZoneBench does not measure the speed of burning recordable CD/DVD discs, however.
Measuring speeds across an entire device is important because most storage devices do not maintain consistent speeds across their entire storage area. For example, all modern hard disk drives get slower as data is accessed further and further toward the physical end of the drive. Conversely, CD and DVD ROM discs get faster as you access toward the physical end of disc. (This is because CD's and DVD's are read starting at the center of the disc moving progressively outwards.

In actual implementation the on-chip user program memory is accessed by the lower 10-bits of the PC, with the upper 3-bits of the PC ignored. In programming mode the program memory space extends from 0x0000 to 0x3FFF, with the first half (0x0000-0x1FFF) being user program memory and the second half (0x2000-0x3FFF) being configuration memory. The PC will increment from 0x0000 to 0x1FFF and wrap to 0x000 or 0x2000 to 0x3FFF and wrap around to 0x2000 (not to 0x0000). Once in configuration memory, the highest bit of the PC stays a ‘1’, thus always pointing to the configuration memory. The only way to point to user program memory is to reset the part and reenter program/verify mode as described in Section 2.3.
In the configuration memory space, 0x2000-0x200F are physically implemented. However, only locations 0x2000 through 0x2007 are available. Other locations are reserved. Locations beyond 0x200F will physically access user memory. (See Figure 2-1).
