That the mobile phone is an inherently personal device which is not only with us most of the time, but also contains a huge amount of personal data (contact lists of names and phone numbers, stored messages and emails etc.) makes it a logical extension for the social network and the host of other collaborative Web 2.0 applications gaining traction.
Perhaps the major factors driving the shift in how the Internet operates – whether fixed or mobile – are those of user interaction and enhancement. The Web is no longer simply an online resource of information to be consulted, searched and acted upon. It has become a network of social communities and information databases that are constantly growing and improving as they continue to harness the collective intelligence of users. It could therefore be argued that whereas Web 1.0 served essentially as a broadcast medium (i.e. of information/knowledge) ‘Web 2.0’ takes the form of a platform whereby the creator of content, has become the focus.
Defining Mobile Web 2.0
Difficulty in establishing a firm and accepted definition, plus the fact that many of Web 2.0’s core concepts cannot be replicated directly within the cellular environment, is paralleled in a similar debate on what exactly denotes Mobile Web 2.0. Whilst it is possible to identify common themes between an Internet- based and mobile Web-based application, the exact features or functionality that makes eitherFaronics Deep Freeze Mac User Guide ManualDeep Freeze About Apple emote Desktop (AARD) Command Line Control Capability System requirements Important Terminology About Faronics Installing Deep Freeze I nstalling Using a Customized Deep reeze installer Installing Using the Basic Deep reeze installer Installing via Apple emote Desktop Installing Over revious Versions Using Xgrid ith Deep Freeze Mac Using the Deep Freeze Controller Opening the Deep Freeze Controller Creating the First User Boot Control Tab Drives Tab ThawSpace Tab Adding a Global ThawSpace Modifying a Global ThawSpace Adding a User ThawSpace Modifying User ThawSpaces Removing a User or Global ThawSpace Maintenance Tab Mapping Tab DF Users Tab Adding, Deleting

Download pdfProceedings of the Linux SymposiumThis paper will discuss the difficulties and methods involved in debugging the Linux kernel on huge clusters. Intermittent errors that occur once every few years are hard to debug and become a real problem when running across thousands of machines simultaneously. The more we scale clusters, the more reliability becomes critical. Many of the normal debugging luxuries like a serial console or physical access are unavailable. Instead, we need a new strategy for addressing thorny intermittent race conditions. This paper presents the case for a new set of tools that are critical to solve these problems and also very useful in a broader context. It then presents the design for one such tool created from a hybrid of a Google internal tool and the open source LTTng project. Real world case studies are included.
Well established techniques exist for debugging most Linux kernel problems; instrumentation is added, the error is reproduced, and this cycle is repeated until the problem can be identified and fixed. Good access to the machine via tools such as hardware debuggers (ITPs), VGA and serial consoles simplify this process significantly, reducing the number of iterations required. These techniques work well for problems that can be reproduced quickly and produce a clear error such as an oops or kernel panic. However, there are some types of problems that cannot be properly debugged in this fashion as they are:
• Not easily reproducible on demand;
• Only reproducible in a live production environment;
• Occur infrequently, particularly if they occur infrequently onNortel Secure Network Access and Microsoft Network Access Protection IntegrationWith the ever-increasing need for enterprises to provide endpoint security and policy compliance, Network Access Control (NAC) solutions abound. However, confusion around industry standards, the multitude of NAC vendors and the complexity of the solutions has led to a relatively slow industry-wide NAC adoption rate. In order to increase flexibility, simplicity and comprehensive cross-platform device support, Nortel has worked with Microsoft to provide a joint NAC solution. Interoperability features and benefits
Nortel and Microsoft have worked together to integrate the Nortel Secure Network Access (SNA) solution with Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP). This integration lets customers deploy a NAC solution today, based on Nortel SNA, while allowing them to add Microsoft’s solution at a later date. Microsoft NAP is available with Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows XP SP3.
The key features and benefits of the joint solution include: Cross-platform device support Nortel SNA provides agent technology that runs on both Windows and non-Windows operating systems. NAP's focus on Windows Vista and XP SP3 support, combined with SNA’s extensibility to older Windows versions as well as Mac OS X and Linux, provides a comprehensive solution for enterprises with heterogeneous environments. In addition, SNA integrates IP phones, printers and other non-interactive devices.
