  • Epson Stylus RIP Users Guide Manual
  • The Epson Stylus RIP software lets you use your Epson Stylus Color or Epson Stylus Photo ink jet printer as a PostScript 3 (Macintosh, Windows 2000, and Windows NT) and level 2 (Windows 95 and 98) compatible printer. It reads the Adobe PostScript files automatically created by the Epson Stylus RIP printer driver, seamlessly converts them into raster images, automatically prints them on your printer. You can use the Espon Stylus RIP with both Macintosh and Windows systems, in standalone or networked configurations. Adobe Post Script is the industry standard for high-quality graphic output. All the elements in a document - including text, graphic, and other images - are processed and reproduced using Post Script code. Then, when you print from an application such as QuarkXPress, the RIP software creates a raster image from the PostScript code and send it to your printer. Do you need PostScript? In many cases, you may not need the ability to print in PostScript, and for these occasions you should use the standard, non-PostScript driver that comes with your printer. Using the standard driver is also a good way to ensure that your computer and printer are connected and working properly, so make sure you install the non-PostScript Epson driver following the instructions in your printers setup documentation. • Enabling an Accessible Web 2.0
  • The Web is constantly evolving and changing. In the beginning the Web was a click, wait, replace model. A user would type a Web address, and a page was loaded. To interact or get more details about the current topic the user would provide information via a form, click submit and wait for a new page to be downloaded. The foundation of the Web was to be able to share information. Until competent search engines were developed, the user would click on provided links to traverse the myriad of data. The Web opened up a vast world of knowledge to people. Except it was, and still is, very visually oriented and relies on the mouse interface to navigate. Eventually the Web became more accessible. Mechanisms are available and supported in Web browsers to provide keyboard navigation and to enable assistive technologies to allow persons with disabilities to use the Web. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 were developed in the W3C to provide guidance and techniques to make the Web Accessible [1]. The original Web was not perfect but with some work by Web developers it could be used by all. Now we are entering the next generation of the Web – Web 2.0. It is all about interaction, collaboration, and social networking. It is more dynamic and fluid and no longer just static pages of information. This presents yet another challenge for people with disabilities. These new interaction models are pushing the limits of the technologies of the Web and the

PowerBook G4 (12-inch DVI) The mini-DVI port is used with an adapter cable to connect the computer to a monitor, television, VCR, or other video device. The adapter cables that can be used with this port include a mini-DVI-to-DVI adapter, a mini-DVI-to-VGA adapter, and a mini-DVI-to-S-Video adapter. By contrast, the PowerBook G4 (12-inch) computer has a video-out VGA port instead of a mini-DVI port. Because Honda could not provide me a copy of this manual, I do not think that they will prevent anyone from copying it. I asked someone to provide me the manual and scanned it for everyone to copy and read. The original size of the manual is: 10.5 x 14.7 cm (5.8 x 4.1 Inch). Enjoy your motorcycle, riding and maintaining it. Download Honda VFR750F Owner’s Manual, Model 90-93 PDF
  • J2EE vs. Microsoft.NET A comparison of building XML-based web services
  • In this whitepaper, we will make a powerful comparison between the two choices that businesses have for building XML-based web services: the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) 1, built by Sun Microsystems and other industry players, and Microsoft.NET 2, built by Microsoft Corporation. Some of the statements we make will offend you, and hopefully more of them will agree with you. So as you read this paper, please remember our three promises: 1. We promise to compare these choices at a logical, neutral, and unbiased level. 2. We promise to tell the tale about how we really do feel about these technologies. 3. We promise to dispel the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) that exists in the marketplace today. Although both J2EE and .NET cover a great deal of technologies and standards, we will focus specifically on building server-side systems as web services using these architectures (for example, we will not be mentioning Jini or Office XP). After reading this white paper, you will have a solid understanding of how these architectures compare, and be empowered to make intelligent decisions in new web services initiatives. The first half of this whitepaper is background information about web services, J2EE, and .NET. If you already understand these technologies, feel free to skip ahead to the 2nd half of the paper, which is the juicy comparison. • Nortel Secure Network Access and Microsoft Network Access Protection Integration
  • With the ever-increasing need for enterprises to provide endpoint security and policy compliance, Network Access Control (NAC) solutions abound. However, confusion around industry standards, the multitude of NAC vendors and the complexity of the solutions has led to a relatively slow industry-wide NAC adoption rate. In order to increase flexibility, simplicity and comprehensive cross-platform device support, Nortel has worked with Microsoft to provide a joint NAC solution. Interoperability features and benefits Nortel and Microsoft have worked together to integrate the Nortel Secure Network Access (SNA) solution with Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP). This integration lets customers deploy a NAC solution today, based on Nortel SNA, while allowing them to add Microsoft’s solution at a later date. Microsoft NAP is available with Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows XP SP3. The key features and benefits of the joint solution include: Cross-platform device support Nortel SNA provides agent technology that runs on both Windows and non-Windows operating systems. NAP's focus on Windows Vista and XP SP3 support, combined with SNA’s extensibility to older Windows versions as well as Mac OS X and Linux, provides a comprehensive solution for enterprises with heterogeneous environments. • Making Life Easier with Templates and Styles
  • Seasoned Microsoft Office users may be familiar with both templates and styles; in Office, they’re a key to increased productivity. However, many Office users never touch them. In OOo, styles and templates are even more important than in Office, and wise users will become familiar with both the concepts and the details of using them. What is a style? A style is a group of formatting characteristics gathered together and given a name. Styles offer a number of advantages. First, they make it easy to apply the same formatting to different parts of a document; just use the same style. Second, they make it easy to change formatting uniformly; change the formatting of the style and everything using that style changes. Finally, because you can save styles in templates (discussed later in this chapter), it’s easy to use the same formatting across a whole family of documents. For example, you may decide to write a document using 10-point Arial for the text and 14-point Arial for headings. If you later decide to change to Times New Roman, with styles, you make the change in two places—the definitions of your body text and heading styles. Without styles, you have to go through and change each paragraph. OpenOffice.org offers a variety of style types, varying with the application. Table 1 shows the types of styles available in the various applications. Download pdf Making Life Easier with Templates and Styles
  • The Coming Web 2.0 Train Wreck
  • Many IT organizations view the phrase Web 2.0 as either just marketing hype that is devoid of any meaning or they associate it exclusively with social networking sites such as MySpace. That’s understandable as Web 2.0 is not the same as a new protocol that has an associated RFC that spells out definitively what is and what is not included as part of the protocol. As a result, many concepts get lumped under the banner of Web 2.0. In one of the most insightful analyses of Web 2.0, Tim Reilly points out that Web 2.0 involves fundamentally new design patterns and business models and he compares companies that were successful with Web 1.0 with those companies that are leading the movement to Web 2.0. One of these comparisons is Netscape vs. Google. Reilly states that Netscape intended to use their dominance in the browser market to establish a market for high-priced server products and that Netscape’s ability to do this would stem from their assumed control over standards for displaying content and applications in the browser world. From a design perspective, Reilly states that Web 2.0 companies such as Google focus more on cooperation than on control and that their success requires a key competency that Napster never needed – database management. Reilly emphasized the importance of databases when he states that “Data is the Next Intel Inside” and he added that while competitors often acquire a base data set from the same source, the successful Web 2.0 companies are the
