VRML files can then be converted to a file type that can be imported directly into the 3D application of your choice. By default, Maya is able to import .obj, .ma and .mel files. Plugins can be installed to import a number of other 3d file types, but as of yet there is no direct way to import VRML files into Maya. First, we’ll explore the functionality of Chimera and export VRML files of the reovirus attachment protein sigma1, then we’ll use the ‘multiscale model’ option in Chimera to export the reovirus core as VRML. • Google Technology PDF Book
  • In the beginning, there was BackRub, the service that became Google. Today, Google is most closely associated with its PageRank algorithm. PageRank is a voting algorithm weighted for importance. The indicators of a Web pages importance is the number of pages that link to a particular page. Messrs. Brin and Page soon added another factor which voted for the importance of a Web page. This idea was the number of people who click on a Web page. The more clicks on a Web page, the more weight that Web page was given. Over time, still other factors have been added to the PageRank algorithm; for example, the frequency with which content on a page is changed. Download Google Technology PDF Book
  • Cisco Aironet Wireless LAN Client Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide for Mac OS
  • When you use your client adapter with the Mac OS operating system, you can protect your data as it is transmitted through your wireless network by encrypting it through the use of Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption keys. With WEP encryption, the transmitting device encrypts each packet with a WEP key, and the receiving device uses that same key to decrypt each packet. The WEP keys used to encrypt and decrypt transmitted data can be statically associated with your adapter or dynamically created as part of the LEAP authentication process. The information in the sections below can help you to decide which type of WEP keys you want to use. Dynamic WEP keys with LEAP offer a higher degree of security than static WEP keys. WEP keys, whether static or dynamic, are either 40 or 128 bits in length. The 128-bit WEP keys contain more characters than the 40-bit keys and, therefore, offer a greater level of security. Message integrity check (MIC) is a security protection feature supported by your client adapter in conjunction with an access point (see the “MIC” section on page 5-4). Each device (or profile) within your wireless network can be assigned up to four static WEP keys. If a device receives a packet that is not encrypted with the appropriate key (as the WEP keys must match in all devices that are to communicate with each other), the device discards the packet. For the Mac OS X, the Static WEP keys are stored in an encrypted format (for security
  • ApplePeelz Step by Step Application Instructions Manual
  • This is really important! MAKE SURE YOUR POWERBOOK IS OFF. FULLY OFF. NOT ASLEEP; OFF. Here are a few general tips: Tip: Since your Mac will be shut down during the application process, print these instructions for reference as you go. Plus, the peelz template guide will help you pick the right piece when you want it (until you re ready to apply a part, let it remain on the backing sheet). Tip: Lay the entire applepeelz sheet on a flat surface and let it flatten and warm up a bit. Room temperature is OK. This takes just a few minutes. Tip: Start with a small part (like the track-pad and the button). It will help you become familiar with the applepeelz film and the application process. Now, let s get started. Make sure your PowerBook is clean, dry and dust/dirt free. Clean with a mild cleaner and a lint free cloth. We cannot stress enough how important it is that the surface of the computer be dirt, lint and dust free. And, make sure no liquid gets inside of your Mac! (Option A) Take the cookie sheet thing and put enough water in it to cover the entire sheet of applepeelz. Add a couple of drops of liquid dish soap per cup of water* and spread it around until the soap dissolves. (Option B) Using the same soap-to-water ratio, mix the two in a clean spray bottle. The water should feel slightly slick when you rub your fingers together. Also,

  • Mac OS X Installation Guide Manual
  • It is updated version that replaces Appendix C in the 2 nd edition (16 May 2004) of Web Database Applications with PHP and MySQL by Hugh E. Williams and David Lane. This appendix is copyright O’Reilly Media Inc. We thank Jeanne Pickering, Scott Brown, Matt Starks, and Bill Griffiths for feedback, errata, and suggestions. This appendix is a guide to installing the software used in the book on an Apple MacIntosh OS X platform. The instructions are designed for administrators, so you’ll need to be able to login as the root user. The instructions were written and tested on Mac OS X Panther (Version 10.3.1) with kernel version Darwin 7.0.0. After showing you how to get PHP, Apache, and MySQL running, we then present a short guide to downloading and installing the PHP script and database examples used in this book. We also show you how to set up tools that are needed by examples in the book but aren’t included in the default Apache, PHP, and MySQL installations. The Mac OS X environment, PHP, Apache, MySQL, and our code examples can all change over time. This means that this guide may not work perfectly when you use it. • SiteGround / cPanel Tutorial
  • This guide will walk you through the setup process and installation steps for eFront version 3.1.3. SiteGround and cPanel were selected as reference, but the procedure is pretty much the same for any hosting provider. The guide assumes you have some experience in using cPanel as well as setting up a domain. For the sake of the examples, we will use the “venakis.org” domain. Note: SiteGround by default uses PHP 5.0.5, but it also supports 5.2.x. Although eFront will run normally with PHP 5.0.5, You are strongly recommended to set up server to use 5.2.x (for instructions, visit http://kb.siteground.com/article/How_to_have_different_Php__MySQL_versions.html) Step 1: Upload and uncompress file. 1.1 Upload the eFront archive to the /public_html/ folder in the filesystem. “public_html” is the folder where requests are served by default. 1.2 Right click on the uploaded file, efront_3.1.3.zip and select “Extract”. 1.3 The extraction folder will be the current folder, “/public_html/” 1.4 After extracting the file, a folder named “efront/” must exist inside “/public_html/” Download pdf SiteGround / cPanel Tutorial

  • AutoCAD Mechanical and Power Dimensioning: Start Saving Time Now
  • Power Dimensioning is the fastest and easiest tool available for the typical AutoCAD user who wants to increase productivity! Just install AutoCAD Mechanical and with a few tweaks to your Options, you can be using a single command to meet your dimensioning needs. It is so fast and so easy, you’ll wonder how you’ve survived without it! Sounds like a late night infomercial, doesn’t it? But in this case, the claims are true! We’ll look at how to set up and use Power Dimensioning so you can start saving time immediately. In this class we will take a look at the Power Dimensioning tools available in AutoCAD Mechanical. These tools are also available in Mechanical Desktop. For this class the name “Mechanical” will imply both programs. The tools include the Power Dimensioning command itself, Automatic Dimensioning and a suite of dimension editing tools. These tools can be used right away, in any AutoCAD drawing. However, to take full advantage of them, and save the most time, you should use them in a file that was created from a Mechanical template file. Note: If a “vanilla” AutoCAD file is opened by Mechanical, the template file named in the “Default standards template”, on the AM:Standards tab of the Options dialog box. The topics we will cover in this session are: • Power Dimensioning Basics • Tweaking Power Dimensioning • Automatic Dimensioning • Editing Dimensions • Hole Notes and Hole Charts Download pdf AutoCAD Mechanical and Power Dimensioning: Start Saving Time Now
