Seven Steps to a Better Google AnalyticsGoogle Analytics - free online web analytics | The 3-year-old web application, created by Google after acquiring Urchin Software, that allows businesses to make better decisions with respect to their web applications.
1. Start with the correct user account
Since Google Analytics (GA) is a free tool that processes incoming tracking data on-the-fly, but there is no way to bulk transfer data between accounts. Setting up a long-term email address for your account is crucial, especially if you don't want to keep multiple sets of data around in the future. Create a generic account based on your domain called google@domain.com - then simply use your ISP to forward that address to the appropriate one.
2. Configure tracking code properly
Garbage in = Garbage Out. Take an hour to sketch out each piece of your website, including multiple domains, multiple hosts, off-domain widgets (Inntopia) and conversion methods. Setting up your tracking code correctly from the outset will save countless hours of analysis & second guessing in the future.
3. Filter your own traffic (and that of your vendors)
If you owned a retail store and counted daily drive-up traffic, you wouldn't include your employees' and vendors' vehicles in that count would you (unless you were calculating parking lot needs)? Then why track the traffic from your internal visitors, employees, telecommuters, web developer and vendors? Implementing filters 'cleans up' your visitor data before it is processed in GA.

The proof of concept shows that SQL Server 2005 can deliver the same or better results for a high-performance enterprise-class data warehouse than the more-costly alternatives.
We delivered an optimized data warehouse solution using SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2005 Integration Services, and SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on a Unisys ES7000/one Enterprise Server with x64 processors. We conducted a series of tests for extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) operations and online analytical processing (OLAP) cube building. These tests measured throughput, scalability, and performance as the amount of data and execution parallelism were increased. SQL Server 2005 demonstrated the ability to use all available CPUs and memory for both the bulk data load and cube processing testing. In this proof of concept we outperformed the direct competition (Oracle-based solutions) by at least 45 percent. The test results documented in this paper prove that the SQL Server 2005 suite running on the Unisys ES7000 server can take advantage of parallelism and multiple processors to deliver extremely high rates of ETL and OLAP cube processing throughputs. Our team of 12 specialists from Unisys, Microsoft (U.S. and Germany), and Platon implemented this fully-functional data warehouse in less than three weeks.

Download manualAdobe Acrobat 8 for Microsoft Windows Group Policy and the Active Directory serviceThis document describes using Group Policy (GP) to deploy Acrobat 8 products on a Windows network. This document assumes that you are a systems administrator with a basic understanding of the Windows operating system and deploying enterprise software, and that you are familiar with Group Policy, Active Directory, and Adobe Reader
Group Policy (GP) and the Active Directory services infrastructure in Windows Server 2003 enable IT administrators to automate one-to-many management of users and computers. Administrators can implement security settings, enforce IT policies, and distribute software across a given site, domain, or range of organizational units (OU). With the software installation extension of GP, you can provide on-demand software installation and automatic repair of applications. Acrobat uses Group Policy Software Installation to enable enhanced deployment for Acrobat products on a Windows network.
The Group Policy settings that you create are contained in a Group Policy object (GPO). To create a GPO, use the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC), which is available for download from the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0A6D4C24-8CBD-4B35-9272-DD3CBFC81887&displaylang=en

The primary reason is cost. But as you will see, other advantages exist as well.
Lowering Your Monthly Phone Bill
What attracted most people to voip or Voice over IP, even when the quality was still questionable, was the fact that you could make free and unlimited long-distance calls. Now that the quality is good, and the calls are still relatively inexpensive, so much the better. How low is low? We examine different service plans available in Chapter 7, “Selecting an Internet Phone Service.” The bottom line is, you can get a broadband phone service with unlimited calling and no nationwide long-distance charges (international calls do cost extra) for $25–30 a month.
How can broadband companies offer phone services more cheaply than the traditional phone companies?
The following four primary factors make broadband phone services so inexpensive:
- Infrastructure costs
- Transport costs
- Regulatory compliance costs
- Taxes and fees

Furthermore, specialty types of restaurants (such as Chinese or Italian) can be individually displayed or hidden by selecting Icon Options after pressing the ICON button. You can view the entire list of available landmark icons by selecting Map Legend from the Information screen (more details given later). If you leave the calculated route, Recalculating is displayed at the top of the screen. The system will recalculate the route from your current location and direction to the desired destination and then give you a new route instruction.
This Rerouting feature can be set to manual in Set Up if desired (more details given later). Off-road tracking: If you drive more than a half mile from a mapped road, the map starts displaying a series of dots (breadcrumbs) to show the path you have taken so you can backtrack if necessary. You can change your present route at any time by pressing the MENU button, which allows you to do any of the following: o Add a Waypoint (waypoints are searchable pit stops along the way, such as a gas station or restaurant — waypoints appear on the map as small red flags) Reroute (change route method, detour, avoid a certainWebmonkey programming: PHP/MySQL TutorialWelcome to the third and final lesson for this tutorial. If you've gone through Lesson 1 and Lesson 2, you already know the essentials for installing and writing useful scripts with MySQL and PHP. We're going to look at some useful PHP functions that should make your life a lot easier. First, let's look at include files.
We all know the basics of includes, right? Contents of an external file are referenced and imported into the main file. It's pretty easy: You call a file and it's included. When we do this in PHP there are two functions we need to talk about: include() and require(). The difference between these two functions is subtle but important, so let's take a closer look. The require() function works in a XSSI-like way; files are included as part of the original document as soon as that file is parsed, regardless of its location in the script. So if you decide to place a require() function inside a conditional loop, the external file will be included even if that part of the conditional loop is false.
The include() function imports the referenced file each time it is encountered. If it's not encountered, PHP won't bother with it.
This means that you can use include in loops and conditional statements, and they'll work exactly as planned.
Finally, if you use require() and the file you're including does not exist, your script will halt and produce an error. If you use include() , your script will generate a warning, butopen suse 10.2 KDE User Guide ManualThis manual introduces the KDE desktop of your openSUSE™ and a variety of applications you will encounter when working with the KDE desktop.
