This document describes how to capture video and export audio from a DV recording using Apple iMovie. You should know whether your recording is in PAL or NTSC format.iMovie does not copy the time code from the DV tape while capturing. This means that it’s not possible to re-capture exactly the same piece at a later point unless you manually look up the correct time codes on the tape.Final Cut Pro does copy the time code from the tape.

This Maya tutorial shows how to create a 3D envelop, skin and structural elements from hand drawn curves or data generated curves. The 3D shape is lofted and extruded from curves drawn in Photoshop or Illustrator.
In Photoshop, go to Layers > create separate layers, draw shapes that will be later connected together
Select the white area above the curve with the Magic Wand tool. Go to Paths > create a path.
Go to File Export > Path to Illustrator, save as an Illustrator file.

This 3D Quick Start Guide is designed for the multimedia designer who is new to the 3D capabilities of Director® Shockwave® Studio and the 3D artist/animator who is unfamiliar with Director® 8.5 Shockwave® Studio. Our goal today is to animate an American-style football player, kicking the ball over the goal post. This character was created in 3ds max™ 4 and animated using character studio® 3, proven software solutions from Discreet. You will find a number of assets in the .zip file. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to take these assets into Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio and create an interactive 3D sequence, playable on the web. The player is kicking the ball over the goal post. The character is animated to perform a series of motions in sequence along a single timeline, i.e., an idle motion, a jog start, a kick sequence, a sprint with arms up and a jog stop. The football is animated to leave its start position, fly over the goal and bounce on the other side. The goal is to take these assets into Director Shockwave Studio and to make them interactive.

Several PDB viewers, including Chimera and Pymol, are able to export molecular representations as VRML files. VRML files can then be converted to a file type that can be imported directly into the 3D application of your choice. By default, Maya is able to open/import .obj, .fbx, .mel, .ma and .mb files (among others). Plugins can be installed to import a number of other 3d file types, but as of yet there is no direct way to import VRML files into Maya.

A classic RPG for our hearts Sacred is one of the few hack and slash games that managed to free themselves from the huge shadow of Diablo. With a similar gameplay and an open world, it managed to provide a solid experience that would be remembered and even compared with its archrival. The story wasn’t all that good and it was plagued by bugs even with a lot of patches released afterwards but even so, the Sacred franchise is still very much alive and kicking. Start the game with the /cheats=1 command line parameter. Start a single-player game and press ~ during game play to display the console window. Enter sys cheats 963 to enable cheat mode.
