  • Getting Started with the Zend Framework
  • This tutorial is intended to give a very basic introduction to using the Zend Framework to write a basic database driven application. NOTE: This tutorial has been tested on versions 1.0.0 of the Zend Framework. It stands a very good chance of working with later versions, but it’s unlikely to work on versions prior to version 1.0.0 Over the lifetime of an application this type of application becomes un-maintainable as the client keeps requesting changes which are hacked into the code-base in various places. One method of improving the maintainability of the application is to separate out the code on the page into three distinct parts (and usually separate files): Model The model part of the application is the part that is concerned with the specifics of the data to be displayed. In the above example code it is the concept of “news”. Thus the model is generally concerned about the “business” logic part of the application and tends to load and save to databases. View The view consists of bits of the application that are concerned with the display to the user. Usually, this is the HTML. Controller The controller ties together the specifics of the model and the view to ensure that the correct data is displayed on the page. The Zend Framework uses the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. This is used to separate out the different parts of your application to make development and maintenance easier. Requirements The Zend Framework has the following requirements: • PHP 5.1.4 (or higher) • A web server supporting mod_rewrite functionality. Download pdf Getting Started with the

  • Protecting Microsoft Exchange
  • Though the technological reasons to protect Exchange systems may be self evident, there are quantifiable fiscal reasons to protect these messaging systems as well. The dollar value of any given data-set may be difficult to calculate, but the cost-savings of avoiding even a single Exchange outage can easily be determined. In most organizations, there are at the very least one or two subsets of end-users who cannot continue to work without these systems functioning. Even if these groups might not regularly produce revenue in the form of direct sales or billable engagements, salaries, benefits and fixed costs still accrue during an outage. Therefore, the loss of the messaging systems for even a few hours could easily result in thousands of dollars in budget outlay without recouping a single dollar in productivity. For revenue-generating groups, the cost of this downtime is even more easily quantifiable. Avoiding even one of these outages is not only a good idea for the IT department, but for the CFO's office as well. Complete protection of Exchange requires a lot more than management of on-site and off-site tape backups. While traditional tape backup is an excellent tool for long-term archiving, true recovery for the sake of business continuity requires real-time data protection which enables disaster recovery and high availability. Having a solution that is cost-effective, hardware independent and scalable is something every IT manager should seriously consider. This whitepaper is meant to provide a brief technical overview of Microsoft® Exchange Server 2000 and 2003 survivability requirements as well as present
  • Hyundai Sonata V6 Sedan Manual
  • Hyundai’s latest Sonata has stepped on a few toes in the large car segment. Externally the new V6 is almost identical to its four cylinder sibling –dual tailpipes being the only clue to the extra power. Yes, they share the same attractive Euro style body, but have decidedly different personas. DISLIKES Small front seats Light coloured trim marks easily well shaped, fine for a long trip, and the centre armrest is a welcome bonus. But anyone riding in the middle might feel short-changed by the lack of support. ERGONOMICS Functional and uncluttered, the dash layout is a model of simplicity. Large instruments face the driver, with the high set audio controls just to the left. Three rotary switches look after all of your air conditioning functions. The boot and fuel cap releases are tucked away under the driver’s armrest. Thanks to its large windscreens, front and rear vision is very good, making manoeuvring easy. SAFETY At this stage the Sonata hasn’t received an ANCAP safety rating. However the new bodyshell’s strength has been optimised in the virtual world using computer analysis, and confirmed in reality. Three hundred Sonatas were sacrificed in crash testing during the car’s development. The newcomer’s level of standard safety equipment reinforces its value for money. Dual front and side airbags, are complemented by front and rear curtain airbags. Active front head restraints and front seat belts with load limiters and pre-tensioners complete the package. Primary safety is aided by ABS equipped four wheel discs with Electronic Brake-force

  • FioranoMQ Native CSharp RTL Sample Applications Guide
  • FioranoMQ has support for handling expired messages on the FioranoMQ server for the PTP sub system of JMS. The Dead Message Queue (DMQ) is created on the server to handle expired messages, which were earlier deleted from the FioranoMQ server. These programs illustrate the basic functionality of FioranoDMQ using the FioranoMQ Native CSharp Runtime Library. This directory contains the following three programs. • Sender.cs - It implements a client application sending some data on "primaryQueue". Few messages sent have infinite time to live, while remaining have very small TTL. • Receiver.cs - It receives messages synchronously from "primaryQueue". • ReceiverDMQ.cs - It receives messages synchronously from dead message queue. To run these samples using FioranoMQ, do the following: 1. Before running these samples, make sure that you have set the properties named Fiorano->mq->ptp->Queues->PrimaryQueue->enableDMQ, fiorano->mq->ptp- >queues->primaryQueue->isDbCleanupEnabled & fiorano->mq->ptp- >queuingSubSystem->EnableNotificationOnDeadMessage to true. 2. Compile each of the source files. The %FMQ_DIR%nativecsharpscripts directory contains a script called csclientbuild.bat which compiles the Native CSharp program. 3. Run the ReceiverDMQ by executing ReceiverDMQ.exe executable file. 4. Run the Sender by executing the Sender.exe executable file. 5. Run the receiver by executing the Receiver.exe file. Receiver will receive messages that had infinite time to live and remaining messages will be received by ReceiverDMQ. Download pdf FioranoMQ Native CSharp RTL Sample Applications Guide
