WEBSITE IMAGES USING PHOTOSHOP: BASIC TECHNIQUESPhotoshop is a powerful piece of software -- like having Walt Disney Studios at your service. You need to learn how to ask them the right question. We provide what we consider the most useful and necessary aspects of Photoshop for creating, preparing, or fixing images on course web pages. You will not be inundated with details about pixels, resolution, and color management
As with most programs, there are multiple ways of accomplishing the same end. You will discover more advanced techniques as you become familiar with the software (e.g., using hot buttons versus top menu vs. keyboard commands, etc.) You will have questions that are not answered here. In such cases consult the Adobe Photoshop online help or the printed manual.

The Avant, as Audi names its station wagon models, is offered with a 3.2L V6 and Quattro full-time all-wheel-drive.
As the vehicle is a bit low, front as well as rear access is relatively easy. The front seats are very comfortable thanks to such features as adjustable height and lumbar support. With tilt and telescoping steering, drivers easily find a very good driving position. Legroom is good, while headroom with the sunroof is tight for tall individuals.
In the back, the bench seat is comfortable for just two people because the transmission tunnel takes up the foot room in the middle. Headroom and legroom are sufficient. The seatback splits 60/40 and folds to form a floor that angles up slightly towards the front, leaving a gap behind the front seats. Fortunately, you can install a vertical net to keep animals or objects from falling into the gap. Cargo capacity is good, but the rather pronounced forward angle of the C-pillars prevents use of full height for about 40 cm. The hatch opens wide and there are four movable tie-downs.

The WSIG (version 0.4) is a JADE add-on that provides support for bidirectional invocation of Web services from JADE agents, and JADE agent services from Web service clients. This is the first public release of this add-on and as such it should be treated as a beta that is subject to change at any time.
The main body of this guide focuses on the process of starting and configuring the WSIG within a running JADE platform. Some usage examples are also provided. Please refer to the javadoc for a complete description of the APIs that allow programmatic access to the security features.
All bugs, issues and feature requests should be made to the main JADE bug reporting system, or sent to the standard JADE mailing lists. Version 0.4 of the WSIG add-on was developed by the JADE Board and is only guaranteed to work with JADE release 3.3 or later.

SiteGround and cPanel were selected as reference, but the procedure is pretty much the same for any hosting provider. The guide assumes you have some experience in using cPanel as well as setting up a domain. For the sake of the examples, we will use the “venakis.org” domain.
Note: SiteGround by default uses PHP 5.0.5, but it also supports 5.2.x. Although eFront will run normally with PHP 5.0.5, You are strongly recommended to set up server to use 5.2.x (for instructions, visit http://kb.siteground.com/article/How_to_have_different_Php__MySQL_versions.html)
Step 1: Upload and uncompress file.
1.1 Upload the eFront archive to the /public_html/ folder in the filesystem. “public_html” is the folder where requests are served by default.
1.2 Right click on the uploaded file, efront_3.1.3.zip and select “Extract”.
1.3 The extraction folder will be the current folder, “/public_html/”
1.4 After extracting the file, a folder named “efront/” must exist inside “/public_html/”

In our times the explosive expansion of Web 2.0 Social Space, typified by the phenomena of De.licio.us, Flickr, MySpace, YouTube…, and the concomitant emergence of folksonomy, present interesting challenges in the management of this information. One key process by which to accomplish this in Social Space, is the wedding of folksonomy (of the people) with ontology (of the machine). Such a wedding must necessarily be conducted in the shared physicality of the word, of language. In this respect, WordNet together with OWL, play the role of matchmaker. But the same Social Space also provides an opportunity for natural folksonomical tagging by digiFoto (key)image.
The research harness for experimental keyimage tagging consists of Flickr as the main (digiFoto image) Social Space testbed and De.licio.us as the auxillary outreach secondary Social Space. Protégé Editor with OWL-DL provides the support for the bridge from keyimage to the formal ontology. The primary end user application domain is the keyimage tagging of paintings in an online art gallery.
BackStory
The research work reported on here is firmly situated within the emerging field of the Digital re-Discovery of Culture (DrDC) (Sotirova, 2005). Taking image (painting, photograph, publicity image (Berger, 1972, p. 129), television, film…) as typical focal point for (post)modern culture, we explore to what extent one can be lead to an experience of personal «physicality of soul» (FoS) in a playful way, an entertaining way, perhaps through a purposeful designed game (DrDCg) on theDesign of large .NET applications: Best practicesIn this paper we present experiences with the .NET Framework and Visual Studio.NET which we won in two big projects. Thereby we give hints for the practical use in .NET projects.
We designed and implemented two systems:
• A database maintenance system for the internet risk assessor “MIRA” for the Munich Re. Up to 10 developers were included and the project had a size of 8 man years.
• The core application of the real estate investment company Real I.S. of the Bayerische Landesbank Group. The system was build by a team of up to 14 developers in 20 man years.
Both systems were designed as three-tier-applications and implemented in C#. Main features are database maintenance, document management, workflow support, and user management using Active Directory Server.
The components in picture 2 have the following responsibilities:

• Our GUI-Controls are based on Windows.Forms. Although these classes offer already extensive functionality, expansions were necessary, e.g. for correct output, the interaction between view and model and for copying objects. This was implemented via Wrapper classes. The view uses these Wrapper classes and is responsible for the visible part of the GUI.
• The model contains the data displayed on the surface.
• The component controller processes the user actions, contains the state machine, triggers server actions and opens sub dialogs.
• Transformation maps data between client and server data model.
• Communication is responsible for the data exchange with the server via .NET Remoting.
Download pdf Design of large .NET applications: Best practicesConcepts in Programming Languages ReviewThis book is concerned with concepts in programming languages, issues in their implementation, and how language design affects program development. It is aimed at upper-level undergraduate students and beginning graduate students with some experience in procedural and OO programming. Functional programming experience is claimed to be helpful but non-essential. As a teaching text, it competes with a similarly-named book by Sebesta, a book by (Wilson and) Clark, and others.
Like most books in this area, it is mostly organised by concept (rather than by language), with a (here, relatively short) history of programming languages at the beginning. The “foundational” chapters are then concerned with computability, Lisp, syntax, semantics and functional programming. Next, a number of chapters deal with the traditional concepts in procedural languages, followed by a third section on object-oriented programming. The final chapters, as usual in texts in this area, deal with concurrency and logic programming (the latter chapter is by Krzystof Apt). As one might have expected from the author, this book is an extremely rich source of important information, subtle issues, and diverse and challenging exercises. This makes it an excellent text for further reading. As an introductory text, however, it is less suitable. This is mostly due to structuring and content, and partially to bias.
As an example of problems with structure and content, consider (parametric) polymorphism. Chapter 5 uses the ML “length” function as an example (without giving its type), and mentions polymorphism four pages later as a subject to be covered in Chapter 6. In the old days, each manufacturer provided a program called an assembler that would convert special words into individual machine instructions. Thus, you might write something really cryptic like MOV AX,CX. (That’s an actual Intel processor instruction, by the way.) The assembler would convert that instruction into a pattern of bits corresponding to a single machine instruction. Humans and computers have decided to meet somewhere in the middle. Programmers create their programs in a language that is not nearly as free as human speech but a lot more flexible and easy to use than machine language. The languages that occupy this middle ground — C#, for example — are called high-level computer languages. (High is a relative term here.)
What is a program? In one sense, a Windows program is an executable file that you can run by double-clicking its icon. For example, the version of Microsoft Word that I’m using to write this book is a program. You call that an executable program, or executable for short. The names of executable program files gener- ally end with the extension .exe. But a program is something else, as well. An executable program consists of one or more source files. A C# program file is a text file that contains a sequence of C# commands, which fit together according to the laws of C# grammar. This file is known as a source file, probably because it’s a source of frustration and
