Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) Windows Interface TutorialThis WEPP software consists of an erosion prediction model (WEPP) written in the Fortran programming language, a climate generator program (CLIGEN) also written in the Fortran programming language, and a Windows interface (WEPPWIN) written in the Visual C++ programming language. The interface accesses databases, organizes WEPP and CLIGEN simulations, creates all necessary input files for WEPP and CLIGEN, and executes the Fortran models when necessary. The interface also accesses and processes output information from the Fortran models for display and access by the user.
Section 1. WEPP Software Installation
The WEPP model and Windows interface can be installed from a file on a CD-ROM, or from the installation program downloaded from the NSERL web site. At the time of this document revision, the installation executable file was “wepp7-2002.exe”.
Use either Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer to locate the installation file “wepp7-2002.exe” on your CD-ROM drive or in the directory in which you downloaded it from the NSERL Web site. Use the mouse to double-click on the WEPPWIN.EXE file. This will start the installation process.

Take a look in the upper right hand corner. The solution, project and other files created by Blend are identical to the files created by Visual Studio 2008. In fact; there is no exporting/importing between the two; you can open both development environments on the same files simultaneously and they will both work perfectly.

There was no single economic insight or business model that completely disrupted existing markets. There was no industry consortium that defined a new standard. If forced to pick a moment, perhaps Google’s IPO will serve historically as the marker – in the same way that Netscape’s IPO’s is often used to signify the birth of the dot com era. At any rate, at some point over the past 12 to 18 months several factors have aligned and a there is now recognition that the companies and web services that are moving the internet market today share many common characteristics.
Formally, “Web 2.0” as a label was first used by Tim O’Reilly and Dale Dougherty of O’Reilly Publishing. The story goes that the two were brainstorming about the shared characteristics of today’s successful internet companies compared with the characteristics of the pre-dotcom bubble companies of 2000. Their brainstorming led to the birth of a conference – Web 2.0 (http://www.web2con.com/web2con/), which was held in October of 2004. The evolution of internet focused companies and services in the 13 months since that conference have helped to reinforce – and extend - their observations.

Ultimately, Web 2.0 is an industry buzzword. Like any buzzword, it’s usefulness can be debated because they are easily mis-used and misunderstood. The MicroTrack 24/96 can be connected to a computer via the USB connection to transfer audio files. The USB port is also used to recharge the internal battery of the MicroTrack 24/96. Typically, a computer’s USB port will supply enough power to recharge the MicroTrack 24/96’s battery, though a USB power supply is also provided for charging without a computer.
The MicroTrack 24/96 has an 1/8” microphone port which supplies 5V for electret microphones like the included stereo “T” microphone. Two 1/4” TRS inputs accommodate mic or line level inputs, and can supply phantom power for condenser microphones. A coaxial SPDIF input is available for recording from a digital source; the MicroTrack 24/96 automatically sets the sample rate to match the incoming stream. An 1/8” headphone port and RCA line outs can be used for monitoring recordings and playback. While the MicroTrack 24/96 is simple to use, we still suggest that you read through this entire manual to familiarize yourself with all the functions contained within this portable unit.
