  • Transparent Web Security:. Server-Gated Cryptography. www.yankeegroup.com. Security Solutions & Services. by Phebe Waterfield CISSP. September 2005 This special report, commissioned by VeriSign, tests SGC- and non-SGC-enabled certificates in 92 common environments to determine under what conditio use benefit from strong encryption. As Exhibit 1 illustrates, SGC-enabled certificates enable more Windows 2000 use to connect with 128-bit encryption. This difference mea te of millio more internet use worldwide would get 128-bit encryption or higher if all e-commerce vendo used SGC-enabled certificates. © Copyright 1997-2005. • Microsoft IIS Installation and Configuration Guide for Helm 4
  • Depending on how your server is set up, you may or may not have Microsoft IIS installed. IIS is a mandatory install if you want to use Helm. It is used to host the Helm website, and will also host any websites you wish to create. Note:- These are guidelines only. We will not provide support for IIS or any other 3rd party applications directly. 1.) Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components. 2.) Double-click Application Server. 3.) You will see that Internet Information Services (IIS) is not checked. Check the box. Press “OK”. You may need your Windows CD in the server drive before you can do this. Once completed, IIS is installed. You will now need to refer to IIS documentation to start configuring it to your requirements. Using Helm with Microsoft IIS 5 or 6 Helm will control IIS 5 or 6 on the control server or any remote server. Although IIS will be controlled by Helm with no additional configuration, there are some alterations that should be made to the global IIS settings to take advantage of everything Helm has to offer. To start, run the IIS interface on the server you wish Helm to control. Right click on the server name on the left hand side of the screen and click on “Properties” on the menu that drops down. • Beginning Data Structures in C++
  • Many simple programs that you have written up to now have undoubtedly consisted only of a main() function that performed all the necessary steps to solve that problem. Yet, you were always encouraged to break the problem down into one or more subprograms or functions. When you break a program down into a series of functions, you are doing what is called functional abstraction. This book begins with a formalization of this process of functional abstraction: its methods, techniques, benefits, and so on. A program also has another form of abstraction — data abstraction. At a low level, we define two variables to “hold” the user’s entered cost and quantity values and define another variable to hold the total cost of their order which can subsequently be calculated. In essence, these variables can be considered an abstraction as well. When the program executes and the user enters a quantity of 10 and cost of 42.00, the variables then hold a “real” value. However, from a program design point of view, most all of the variables you have defined and used in programs to this point are instances of the intrinsic built-in C++ data types, such as int, double, and long. (If you have studied the C++ structures, those are not intrinsic data types.) Now when we speak of data abstraction, we normally do not mean this low level way of thinking about data. Rather the term data abstraction refers to larger scale ways and means of organizing and using data. To
  • Design Compiler Reference Manual: Optimization and Timing Analysis
  • Pipelining is a technique commonly used to increase the throughput of designs that have deep levels of logic to meet high sampling rate requirements. The pipelining technique partitions blocks of combinational logic into n stages of equal delays, with the stages separated by banks of pipeline registers. Register balancing improves the performance of the pipeline design, by moving the registers through combinational logic, adding additional registers as needed, to reduce the clock period. In this chapter, you will learn about the following: • Basic Concepts • Considering Input and Output Delays • Handling Designs Having Hierarchy • Enabling Register Balancing • Inserting Pipeline Registers in a Design • Hints and Restrictions • Resetting Flip-Flops • Replacing Flip-Flops This chapter includes example methods of inserting the pipeline registers in a design through HDL and a script to convert simple flip-flops to asynchronously reset flip-flops. • Cleaning the MAF sensor (Diesel engines only)
  • The first step is to locate the MAF sensor. Its position is on the air intake system, after the air filter box. The second step is to unplug the connector on the MAF sensor. It has a clip that holds it firmly in place, so you need to push the clip with your finger to release it. (red arrow) Then just pull the plug off. The third step is to unscrew the two torx security screws. To do that, you will need a trox screwdriver T20. After the screws are out, gently pull the sensor out of his casing. After you have done the above, you will have this on your table. The next step is the cleaning. For that you will need a 3 or 4 cotton sticks and some alcohol. *Use clear alcohol or start spray – do not use any spray or liquid that is oily or greasy. Get the cotton sticks mentioned above and flatten them. So they look like this. *If you don’t do that, they will not fit in the openings. Download pdf Cleaning the MAF sensor (Diesel engines only)

The security changes described in this document only apply to Microsoft Windows 2000 systems and should not be applied to any other Windows 2000 versions or operating systems. This document contains possible recommended settings for the system Registry. Windows 2000 System Internet Information Services 5.0 can be severely impaired or disabled with incorrect changes or accidental deletions when using a Registry editor (Regedt32.exe or Regedit.exe) to change the system configuration. There is no “undo” command for deletions within the Registry. Registry editor prompts user to confirm the deletions if “Confirm on Delete” is selected from the options menu. When user deletes a key, the message does not include the name of the key being deleted. Check selection carefully before proceeding. • A DoS-limiting Network Architecture
  • Denial of Service (DoS) attacks have become an increasing threat to the reliability of the Internet. An early study showed that DoS attacks occurred at a rate of nearly 4000 attacks per week [18]. In 2001, a DoS attack [4] was able to take down seven of the thirteen DNS root servers. And more recently, DoS attacks have been used for online extortion [5]. The importance of the problem has led to a raft of proposed solutions. Researchers have advocated filtering to prevent the use of spoofed source addresses [8], traceback to locate the source of the disrupting packets [20, 22, 21, 24], overlay-based filtering [12, 1, 14] to protect approaches to servers, pushback of traffic filters into the network [16, 10, 3], address isolation to distinguish client and server traffic [9], and capabilities to control incoming bandwidth Download A DoS-limiting Network Architecture
