  • How To Increase Rankings In Google And Yahoo SERP’s White Paper
  • Worldwide, around 70% of the Internet traffic is currently being generated through popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Increasing rankings in Google and Yahoo SERP's (Search Engine Result Pages) has thus become the primary need for all online operators, be it online retailers, free content, tools, software and services providers, or personal website owners. Achieving the above objective is however not an easy task and more often online operators hire professional help such as Internet Marketing and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services. This white paper aims to substantiate the important role played by SEO service providers and how they help website owners achieve the most from their online initiatives. There is no questioning the effectiveness and importance of SEO, but since Google and Yahoo keep changing their ranking algorithms on a continuous basis, actual SEO tools and techniques deployed by SEO firms may differ. The actual SEO tools and techniques used may also vary depending on the type of online business, its size, its targeted audience, and available monetary resources. However, there are some SEO tools and techniques that have passed the test of time and are still widely used by SEO professionals, the world over. We have identified some of these prominent, timetested SEO tools and they have been discussed in the following paragraphs. • Mapping Mashups
  • As part of a large undergraduate history course he teaches about World War II, Dr. Martinez developed a mapping mashup that he introduces to the 150 students at the beginning of the semester. The mashup, which works with Google maps, represents major events leading up to and during the war. Fundamentally, it’s a map, he explains, showing them on a projection screen that it works very much like the online mapping tools students regularly use. The map covers virtually the entire globe, and users can move around the world, zooming in and out, showing the area of search as a map, satellite images, or satellite images with maps, dates, and events superimposed. When students zoom in on Europe, they see flags scattered around the continent and into Asia. Similar maps dot Japan, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific. When clicked, each flag opens a pop-up box that names the location, explains what happened there and when, and shows a photograph of that site at or close to the date in question. Flags correspond to important battles, political events, treaties that were signed, and cities such as Vichy, the wartime capital of France. The text in the box also includes links to articles that talk in depth about what took place in each location and the significance of that event. Students can zoom in to particular locations and see satellite images of what the place looks like today. They can also get an idea about the terrain where soldiers fought and died. During

  • A computer program is described which efictively eliminates the misgivings of the DOS system clock in PCIAT-chs computers. MS DOS Interrupts ebook RighTime is a small, sophisticated memory-residenf program that automatuaUg corrects both the DVS system clock and the hardware “CMOS” real time clock (RTC) in real time. RighTime learns what corrections are required without operator inkeractwn beyond the o c c a s i o ~ laccurate time set. Both wann (power on) and cool (power ofn errors are corrected, usually yielding beiter than one part per million accuracy in the typiecrl desktop computer with no additional hardware, and RighTime increases the system clock resolution from approximately 0.0549 second to 0.01 second. One simplification is to model it as a small Local Area Network. Previ- ous work has shown that a gossip-based multicast can be an effective tool for modeling the flow of information on a local area network. We examine the ef- fect of different networks within this mathematical framework. We propose a general mathematical model that incorporates the susceptibility and infectivity of a given machine in a local area network. We also use the concept of pro- portionate mixing to model the spread of information among heterogeneous patches, where each patch coists of use and non-use of an information router. • T-Splines Maya Plugin Version 1.6
  • After installing the T-Splines plugin, you need to tell Maya to use it. • On the menu, select Window -> Settings/Preferences -> Plug-in Manager. • Look for "TSplineShape" (it will be followed by .mll, .so, or .lib; this depends on your operating system). You may need to scroll down to find it. • Put a check in both the "loaded" and "auto load" boxes. This will load the plug-in and make sure it reloads every time you start Maya. After you load the plug-in, a "TSplines" menu should appear on the menu bar. Most of what you can do with the plug-in is accessed through this menu. The menu contains links to the T-Spline help pages, the forum, and to many of the operations that you can perform on T-Splines. Creating a Shelf To create a shelf with commonly used functions, choose "Create Shelf" from the T-Splines menu. If it's your first time creating the shelf, a new "TSplines" shelf will be added and will be filled with icons. If the shelf already exists, it will re-add any icons that may be missing. Even if you add your own icons to the shelf, you can safely "Create Shelf" again; it will not modify your existing icons. It's a good idea to use "Create Shelf" after upgrading to a new version of the plug-in, as we will probably add new icons on occasion. Download pdf T-Splines Maya Plugin Version 1.6
  • Checking Microsoft Windows Systems for Signs of Compromise
  • This guide does not cover the administrative aspects of a compromise, rather it is intended to outline useful tips in finding malware, links to tools for examining the system and define the reasons for undergoing this work. This document will deal with basic levels of intrusion analysis, aimed mainly at intrusions on desktop systems, or initial examination of servers. It is not an in depth technical discussion of recovery of mission critical servers. It should also be noted that a number of these tools will change the file system - this will more than likely make the drive inadmissible as evidence. If you think you might want to involve law enforcement, this isn't the guide to read! A compromise can occur in a number of ways, possibly a machine was unpatched against a certain vulnerability, or the user is using weak passwords (particularly on Windows shares) or the user 'clicked on the wrong thing'. However the machine has been compromised, it is important to analyze the system to work out how the intruders got in, as this will give you the means for preventing entry in the future - it is useless to reformat and reinstall a box, only to leave the same way in wide open. Understanding the mode of entry can also help determine if other machines on your site have been compromised, i.e. was entry gained through a service unique to this machine, or common to the whole site or department ? However entry was gained, one of the most

  • The best way to protect the fetus is to protect the mother. When a safety belt is worn properly, it’s more likely that the fetus won’t be hurt in a crash. For pregnant women, as for anyone, the key to making safety belts effective is wearing them properly. Right Front Passenger Position The right front passenger’s safety belt works the same way as the driver’s safety belt. See “Driver Position” earlier in this section. Air Bag System This part explains the air bag system. Your vehicle has air bags — one air bag for the driver and another air bag for the right front passenger. Frontal air bags are designed to help reduce the risk of injury from the force of an inflating air bag. But these air bags must inflate very quickly to do their job and comply with federal regulations. Here are the most important things to know about the air bag system.. • Making a quick water material in 3ds Max
  • In this tutorial I will show how to make a quick water material in 3d Max. Keep in mind there’s no special plugins used, just 3d Max materials, which will render much quicker. Open up the materials window. Pick a new material and change the diffuse color to a dark brown, so we can make some dirty water. Also change the “Specular” value to 90, and the “Glossiness” to 70. Go down to Maps - bump change the value to 30, hit none and choose noise material. Change the X and Y tiling value to 2, also choose fractal for “Noise Type”. Now lets do the reflections. Change the reflection value to 30, hit none and choose Reflect/Refract material. The default Size value of a 100 works well and quick during render time, but if you want to see more details just increase the value; I’m going to increase it to 200. Change the Blur Offset value to .01, this will slightly blur the reflections. Download pdf Making a quick water material in 3ds Max
