It describes step-by-step how you can create a new plugin in VS2008. How this can be done is described in this document, building a sample plugin which delivers the functionality for a “new” encryption algorithm.
The new plugin contains the according encryption code and offers its functionality to the Cryptool application using the interface “IEncryptionAlgorithm” from the CrypPluginBase. Additionally it delivers the according controls (like buttons, text boxes) and information to the TaskPane (icon, caption, descriptions).
Please be aware that the Cryptool 2.0 project is under development. Therefore, the screenshots in this document might represent the latest state of the project. However, we aim to provide a documentation and screenshots that can always guide you through the first steps on the development of a Plugin. The system uses video edge detection to reduce operator error by removing judgment inconsistencies. Resolution depends on magnification of objective and type of detection selected. Minimum resolution is 100 nm for 100x objective and video edge detection.
Video Edge detection
– Detects edges from distinct variations in field intensity
– Must have objective selection on the screen the same as the objective in use.
Probes
• Singly ‘fired’ by pressing the center scroll button on the mouse.
• Continuously fired by selecting ‘continuous fire’ on menu created by right clicking over video view.
To acquire points:
1. Select a feature measurement (on upper center menu) or use Measure Magic
2. Select a probe
a. One of those listed above, or
b. New probe can be used by selecting a point or multiple points depending on if measuring a point, line, or arc/circle (1, 2, or 3 points, respectively). The last point selected should be ‘dragged’ across the edge by the mouse to create the proper probe.
3. Position the probe over the video image
4. Size the probe
5. Select direction of scan (light to dark, dark to light, or first edge)
6. Click the center mouse button to fire

We Zope to be much more approachable to Python programmers. You should be able to use existing Python objects in Zope with few changes. We want developers to be able to learn Zope a little bit at a time. We provide greater support for reuse through components.
Let's look at a minimal class that is usable in Zope. As an example, we'll use objects that manage personal information.
We normally organize our software into packages. We can put our packages anywhere, as long as they are in Zope's Python path. We'll create a buddydemo package in the src directory, which is in the Python path. We create an empty __init__.py file in buddydemo, so that Python will treat buddydemo as a package. We'll create a buddy.py module to hold our class, named Buddy. The class is very simple. It stores information in attributes. It provides a single method that combines the first and last name. There are no Zope- specific mix- in classes. We do subclass Persistent. Doing so makes our life easier, because then Zope will manage our data in its object database. We don't have to subclass Persistent. If we don't though, we need to manage our data some other way (e.g. in a relational database).
