GLG Programming Tutorial for Java GLG Toolkit Version 2.9The GLG Toolkit provides a 100% pure Java class library that allows the user to load, display and animate GLG drawings in a Java application. A GLG drawing can be created in the GLG Graphics Builder or programmatically. It may contain predefined GLG components from the GLG Widgets catalog, such as graphs, gauges, meters, or custom graphics created by the user. A GLG Java application can be written as a stand-alone Java program or as an applet. To display GLG graphics, an application creates a GLG bean that can be used either as a top level applet or as a Java bean inside another Java component.
Examples of using the GLG bean in both cases appear later in this tutorial, as well as in the examples directory /examples_java. The GLG Toolkit for Java supports Java1 (AWT-based components), Java2 (Swing-based components) and Java2D.

Developers have traditionally had a love-hate relationship with Crystal Reports; they loved the functionality it provided and the free run-time license, but they hated having to upgrade to the latest version to get the features they required. Another complaint was that reports could not be created or modified programmatically; they could be created only through the user interface (UI) with either the developer UI with Visual Studio or the consumer UI with the Crystal Reports retail package.
Just as the release of Visual Studio .NET 2002 represented a significant leap for the Microsoft development platform, the release of Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET was also a milestone for the Crystal Decisions development team. Following the Microsoft .NET strategy, they redevel- oped the product to take advantage of the .NET Framework and made it a fully featured product in its own right; developers no longer have to wait to upgrade to the latest release to get the features they need.
When Visual Studio was upgraded recently to Visual Studio .NET 2003, the version of Crystal Reports that ships inside the box was also updated. After that, open the bonnet and pull off the plastic cap on the shock pad (white arrow). When removed it will look like this. Now take a spanner and a ratchet (6mm alen key) and put them on like on the pics left. When you have done that, just un tighten (1/2 - 1 turns) the nut. To un tighten the nut, hold the ratchet in place and turn the spanner. DO NOT unscrew more than that or take the nut off.
The next step is to unscrew the 3 screws holding the shock to the chassis (3 yellow arrows). Unscrew them, but not completely. Jack the car up, take the wheel off and put the car on a stilt. Using a spanner and ratchet, unscrew the 2 nuts shown by yellow arrows.
When the nuts are off, you are left with 2 screws (white arrows) that need to be taken out. To do so, just push them out in the red arrow direction. Now unscrew the 3 screws at the top (yellow arrows) while holding the shock with your left hand. Warning – when you take out the screws, the shock will drop down.
