This front wheel drive subcompact is powered by a 4 cylinder 1 6 litre engine that comes with either manual or automatic transmission. Interior and trunk Because the car is low to the ground tall people will find it somewhat difficult to get into. Once seated they will find the front seats quite comfortable especially the driver s seat with its two adjustment wheels that make it easy to find just the right driving position. The Jetta ushers in two important new features this year, a station wagon and a new, 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder TDI diesel engine. The sedan can also have its front wheels powered by a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder or a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder. The Jetta Wagon cannot be ordered with the 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine.

The popular fifth-generation Sentra sedan, introduced in 2001, gets further styling tweaks and added convenience features to keep it competitive in the econocar/ pocket-rocket segment. For 2004, the Sentra receives redesigned front and rear fascias and a newly styled hood. Interior upgrades on the 2.5S, SE-R, and SE-R Spec V include an enhanced Rockford Fosgate sound system and a trip computer as standard equipment, while the SE-R Spec V gets Skyline-style sport bucket seats. Power choices remain a fuel-thrifty 126-hp, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine in the 1.8 and 1.8S models and, for a good deal more oomph, a 165-hp, 2.5-liter four-banger in the 2.5S and SE-R. But for a wilder ride we recommend the more powerful and responsive 175-hp, 2.5-liter version in the wicked little SE-R Spec V, which also gets a new brake package with quicker-stopping Brembo front discs.

2007 AUDI A6 AVANT

Introduced in the 2005 model-year, the current generation of the A6 is relatively unchanged this year, apart from the fact that the V8 now develops 15 extra horsepower and that an S6 version with a 435-hp V10 is available. The Avant, as Audi names its station wagon models, is offered with a 3.2L V6 and Quattro full-time all-wheel-drive.

As the vehicle is a bit low, front as well as rear access is relatively easy. The front seats are very comfortable thanks to such features as adjustable height and lumbar support. With tilt and telescoping steering, drivers easily find a very good driving position. Legroom is good, while headroom with the sunroof is tight for tall individuals.

The X-Trail is quite a roomy and comfortable vehicle for its size. Head and leg room in both the front and the rear seating positions is adequate for most adults. The front bucket seats offer reasonable support and shape, although the cushions could do with some additional bolstering to further improve lateral support. The rear luggage area is quite spacious with the added versatility of a split fold rear seat. A hard plastic finish is used in the cargo area that is practical and easy to clean, but tends to look cheap. One of the first things you’ll notice once seated in the driver’s position of the X-Trail is that all the instruments are located in the centre of the dash, rather than behind the steering wheel. In fact, the entire layout of the dash is rather unusual.
