Google is designed to crawl and index the Web efficiently and produce much more satisfying search results than existing systems. The prototype with a full text and hyperlink database of at least 24 million pages is available at http://google.stanford.edu/ To engineer a search engine is a challenging task. Search engines index tens to hundreds of millions of web pages involving a comparable number of distinct terms. They answer tens of millions of queries every day. Despite the importance of large-scale search engines on the web, very little academic research has been done on them. Furthermore, due to rapid advance in technology and web proliferation, creating a web search engine today is very different from three years ago.
This paper provides an in-depth description of our large-scale web search engine — the first such detailed public description we know of to date. Apart from the problems of scaling traditional search techniques to data of this magnitude, there are new technical challenges involved with using the additional information present in hypertext to produ e better search results. This paper addresses this question of how to build a practical large-scale system which can exploit the additional information present in hypertext. Also we look at the problem of how to effectively deal with uncontrolled hypertext collections where anyone can publish anything they want.

It does not support the new Word 2007 .docx file format, which is not OLE2 based. HWPF is still in early development. It is in the scratchpad section of the SVN. You will need to ensure you either have a recent SVN checkout, or a recent SVN nightly build (including the scratchpad jar!)
Source in the org.apache.poi.hwpf.model tree is the old legacy code refactored into an object model. Source code in the org.apache.poi.hwpf.extractor tree is a wrapper of this to facilitate easy extraction of interesting things (eg the Text). Source code in the org.apache.poi.hdf tree is the old legacy code.
At the moment we unfortunately do not have someone taking care for HWPF and fostering its development. What we need is someone to stand up, take this thing under his hood as his baby and push it forward. Ryan Ackley, who put a lot of effort into HWPF, is no longer on board, so HWPF is an orphan child waiting to be adopted.
If you are interested in becoming the new HWPF pointman, you should look into the Microsoft Word internals. A good starting point seems to be Ryan Ackley's overview. This document contains a link to a detailled Word format description you can find somewhere at http://www.wotsit.org/. Please do not contact Ryan Ackley directly, because he is working for a company now that signed a NDA with Microsoft and thus he will be no longer12 inch PowerBook G4 Review pdfThe 12-inch PowerBook G4 provides the most advanced and complete feature set of any ultracompact notebook. Such attacks target databases that are accessible through a web front-end, and take advantage of flaws in the input validation logic of Web components such as CGI scripts. We apply the concept of instruction-set randomization to SQL, creating instances of the language that are unpredictable to the attacker. Queries injected by the attacker will be caught and terminated by the database parser. We show how to use this technique with the MySQL database using an intermediary proxy that translates the random SQL to its standard language. Our mechanism imposes negligible performance overhead to query processing and can be easily retrofitted to existing systems.
The intuition behind such attacks is that pre-defined logical expressions within a pre-defined query can be altered simply by injecting operations that always result in true or false statements. This injection typically occurs through a web form and associated CGI script that does not perform appropriate input validation. These types of injections are not limited strictly to character fields. Similar alterations to the “where” and “having” SQL clauses have been exposed, when the application does not restrict numeric data for numeric fields.
Standard SQL error messages returned by a database can also assist the attacker. In situations where the attacker has no knowledge of the underlying SQL query or the contributing tables, forcing an exception may reveal more details about the table or its field names and types. This technique has been shown to be quite effective in practice.

(Refer to the Preset Timing Modes) If the initial screen (the login screen) does not appear, contact the Service Center or your dealer.
If the power is on, reboot the computer to see the initial screen(the login screen), which can be seen. Can you see “Not Optimum Mode”, “Recommended Mode 1680 X 1050 60 Hz” on the screen? You can see this message when the signal from the video card exceeds the maximum resolution and frequency that the monitor can handle properly. Adjust the maximum resolution and frequency that the monitor can handle properly. If the display exceeds SXGA or 75 Hz, a “Not Optimum Mode”, “Recommended Mode 1680 X 1050 60 Hz” message is displayed. If the display exceeds 85 Hz, the display will work properly but the “Not Optimum Mode”, “Recommended Mode 1680 X 1050 60 Hz” message appears for one minute and then disappears. Please change to the recommended mode during this one-minute period.
