ConXML - Conversation XML ManualConXML is an XML format used to describe conversational applications between people and services using clients such as the mobile phone messaging, instant messenger, and email. It allows conversational applications to be developed and deployed in an analogous way to HTML for visual applications. Many kinds of ConXML applications can be developed. These applications can include: content sharing, event management, polling, order inquiry, package tracking, driving directions, emergency notification, fiight tracking, customer relationship management, prescription refilling, audio newsmagazines, real-estate information and national directory assistance applications.
Just as HTML documents are interpreted by a visual web browser, ConXML documents are interpreted by a virtual conversation browser. This virtual browser is connected to the mobile, IM, and email networks allowing messages described in the ConXML docu- ments to be sent and received. Through HTTP this virtual browser fetches and interprets ConXML pages from other application servers while maintaining the state of the conversation in the virtual browser. It is very simple using this architecture to build highly complex ConXML applications that extend existing web applications, since the only requirements is to output an alternate markup while using the same business logic. The design decisions needed to build a conversation application are the same used to build a web application. Some applica- tions may use static ConXML pages, while others rely on dynamic ConXML page generation using an application server like RoR, Tomcat, or PHP.

The model should look pretty rough, we're using Turtle's builtin subdivison surface option for speed. Go ahead and render a frame and you should see a smoother cup, although there's no Global Illumination going on yet so it's pretty black.

You’re now ready to stitch together a final movie from the individual sequences of images that were rendered in Maya. In addition to simply ‘stitching’ the sequences together, we will explore a few different compositing tasks as well. For example, there are benefits to rendering a single image/shot into multiple ‘render passes’ where different elements of the scene are separated out onto different layers and rendered independently with an alpha channel (i.e. transparency information).
These passes need to be overlaid and blended together in ‘post’ (i.e. in a compositing package like After Effects). With this extra step you gain additional control over processes that would otherwise take longer to render ‘in camera’ (i.e. in your 3D package). We will composite together one of the sequences from your movie in order to add fake depth-of-field effects (i.e. blurring), a process that can be tricky and processor-intensive at render time in Maya. Begin by opening the After Effects program – the standard layout for this application (v7Pro) contains a number of preset panels:
- the “Project” panel in the upper left: this is where you can import and organize the raw materials for your final composite

This means that with each release the user interface of their IDE, the APIs of their libraries and components and even the syntax and names of their programming languages typically change, often in backwardly incompatible ways. The majority of this document describes the use of Microsoft Visual C++ .Net 2003 to develop “managed” Windows Forms applications on Windows 2000 and higher. Although, the steps and code examples given below are known not to work with earlier versions and probably won’t work without modification on later versions, the explanations given in this document should be sufficient for someone skilled/familiar with Microsoft’s tools to adapt to their particular development environment.

Some system administrators even run software to detect portscanners and denial?of?service attempts. However, many system administrators still overlook security problems in CGI scripts and web applications.
As demonstrated by recent security alerts, improperly written CGI scripts and web applications can let crackers read system files, obtain passwords, crash the server or worse. A system may be firewalled and hardened against remote logins, FTP access and denial of service attacks, yet have many well?known holes in the server's web applications and CGI scripts.
Trapping 404 errors:
One method we have used to detect CGI script abuse is to redirect all "404 Not Found" responses from the web server to a script that examines the request for suspicious activity. Both Apache and iPlanet / Netscape web servers allow customized error messages. Either custom HTML files can be output or scripts can be executed in response to any of the standard HTTP request errors. Since a properly secured web server will not contain any of the well?known CGI vulnerabilities, any attempt by an outside to look for them results in a 404 Not Found response.
Apache comes with an example script "phf_abuse_log.cgi" you can use to log attempt to access phf. This concept can be expanded to look for any suspicious URL request (such any request containing "/etc/passwd" on a unix server) each time a 404 error is raised in the CGI?BIN directory.
