Download PDFMaking A Snowman In MayaThis tutorial will teach you how to model a snowman and animated it using Maya’s most basic tools.
Setting up Maya for the Tutorial
Before you begin this tutorial, it is recommended that you reset Maya to its default preferences. Please go to Maya’s Main Menu > Window > Settings and Preferences > Preferences. This will open up Maya’s Preference Window. In the Preference Window, go to the Edit menu and select “Restore Default Settings”.
Maya has a “Project” based system which will help you manage your files. It is recommended that you create a new project for this tutorial by going to Maya’s Main Menu > File > Project > New. When the Project Window pops up. You will need to name the project, then select the location that the project will be created in. Click the “Use Default” button before pressing “Accept”. Maya will automatically manage your files to this project from now on.
Modeling the Snowman
Creating The Body
To create the conventional snowman we will need to start off with 3 spheres. Maya has a list of default shapes that can be used to create the base body of our snowman. These shapes are called “Primitives” and can be located in the “Create” Menu. The following will create the 3 sphere primitives to build the body of our snowman.
1. Go to the Main Menu and click “Create > NURBS Primitives > Sphere”.
2. After the creation of the shape, Maya will automatically select it, then update the Channel Box which will contain theWater Resource Planning Application TutorialAll SimBLOX simulation products employ an agent-based or object-oriented architecture. This allows the user to create very large, complex, macro-level simulation models by connecting together many smaller, easily understandable, micro-level “building block” models. In this simple tutorial, we will show you how to use the Water Resource Planning SimBRIX.
INSTALLING THE WATER RESOURCE PLANNING SimBRIX:
Before you install the Water Resource SimBRIX, you must make sure you have already installed the SimBLOX application. If you have not done so, refer to the documentation included with the SimBLOX application for instructions on how to properly install it, or if you do not have the SimBLOX software, please contact us. Our contact information is available at the end of this tutorial.
After you have verified that SimBLOX is installed SimBLOX, double-click the file called “setup.exe” to begin the installation of the Water Resource SimBRIX. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation. Once the installation is completed you will then need to open SimBLOX to access the Water Resource Planning SimBRIX.
The current version only works on IBM-compatible PC’s running Windows 2000, XP or Vista with the .NET 2.0 Framework installed. The .NET 2.0 Framework is available as a free download from Microsoft. Please visit the resources page on the viaSim website (www.viasimcorp.com) for a link to download this software directly from the Microsoft website.

This paper presents a new approach to mitigating buffer overflow vulnerabilities by detecting likely vulnerabilities through an analysis of the program source code. Our approach exploits information provided in semantic comments and uses lightweight and efficient static analyses. This paper describes an implementation of our approach that extends the LCLint annotation-assisted static checking tool.
Our tool is as fast as a compiler and nearly as easy to use. We present experience using our approach to detect buffer overflow vulnerabilities in two security-sensitive programs. Buffer overflow attacks are an important and persistent security problem. Buffer overflows account for approximately half of all security vulnerabilities [CWPBW00, WFBA00]. Richard Pethia of CERT identified buffer overflow attacks as the single most im- portant security problem at a recent software engineering conference [Pethia00]; Brian Snow of the NSA predicted that buffer overflow attacks would still be a problem in twenty years [Snow99].

A major part of this transition involves newspaper companies producing greater amounts of video content online. Some are hoping the proven high engagement rates of video will generate to their websites greater traffic levels, longer time spent, and more follow-through actions from visitors – all with the ultimate goal of more revenue from advertisers, and overall monetization.
Newspapers are on the right path with producing regular video content, but they have largely been unsuccessful with their delivery and financial strategy. Newspapers are very capable of reaching their end goal, but it requires them adding a new component, which harnesses the full potential of traffic, engagement, and conversions – Video Search Engine Optimization, aka, “Video SEO."
Beginning 2009, Video SEO is a proven marketing strategy for many businesses, with well-established experts and applications already in place. Newspaper companies, including media companies with newspaper properties, are in a unique position to benefit from Video SEO and set their companies back on track to Internet revenue growth. However, newspapers cannot do this on their own. They will need to enlist the aid of Video SEO experts possessing an understanding of the special needs of publishing companies like newspapers, along with a proper application of the video publishing and SEO tools now available. This is essential if they are to be successful with transitioning to aDialog OnDisc Users Guide Manual for MacintoshStartup DIALOG OnDisc Menus and Hot Keys Shortcuts Command Mode Help In this Chapter, you will learn: · What equipment and software is are required to search the DIALOG OnDisc databases. · How to install the DIALOG OnDisc software. Coma and astigmatism of NICMOS cameras have been derived using phase retrieval analysis of the data from the NICMOS focus monitoring program. Analysis of these aberrations has revealed that y-coma in all three camera experienced a systematic change over the NICMOS lifetime in Cycles 7 and 7a. A similar variation has been found for x-astigmatism in camera 2. In camera 3, the x-astigmatism increased dramatically after the FOM had been given a y-tilt of 16 arcsec. X-coma and y-astigmatism in all cameras did not show substantial systematic variations over the same period of time. The results of this study should help to understand the origin of the NICMOS optics instability. They should also facilitate interpretation of possible changes in NICMOS cameras when they are back to operations after installation of the cryocooler in Cycle 10.
1. Introduction
NICMOS optical characteristics experienced noticeable variations since the start of the instrument orbital life in early 1997. These include not only the changing focus position
