  • Battalion Wars Instruction Manual pdf
  • The world of Battalion Wars has a turbulent history, served by global conflict and only briefly interspersed with periods of tense, nervous peace. Over time, the great armies of the Western Frontier and the Tundran Territories have fought each other to a standstill. Gorgi, Tsar of the Tundran Empire and supreme commander of its military forces, will soon pass the reins of command to his son and heir, Marshal Nova. The Marshal has a more modern outlook than his father, and with Nova in charge, some dare to dream that a real and lasting peace might yet be possible… They now abide by a treaty guaranteeing mutual sovereignty, their two vast empires separated only by a thin strip of land– a Demilitarized Zone. Both sides monitor each other closely, primed to retaliate in the event of a preemptive strike. But on the other side of the DMZ, General Herman of the Western Frontier is spoiling for a fight; it’s been too long since Frontier troops saw combat. Brigadier Betty has a plan to get the men fighting fit and keep an eye on the Tundrans at the same time Download pdf Battalion Wars Instruction Manual

  • Guide to Writing Policy and Procedure Documents
  • Preparing a policy or procedure document for UC Santa Cruz’ InfoSlug on-line policy and procedure system is not as mysterious or difficult as you might think. This guide is designed to explain the campus’ policy and procedure framework, to help policy and procedure owners organize their written documentation, and to act as a resource as they navigate the approval process. You will find the information in this “how to” guide helpful if you are responsible for formulating or documenting new or existing policies and procedures. Over the past several years the campus has been actively examining its decision-making processes with an objective of locating decision-making authority at the lowest appropriate levels. Improvements in the campus’ process for documenting policies, procedures, and delegations of authority will enable this effort by addressing a number of issues: 1. Ease of Access. Currently there are too many manuals and loose memos—an information flood. Users don’t know what is important. Policy and procedure manuals that do exist are not always up-to-date and users cannot always find the documents they need to make informed decisions. An up-to-date, on-line system will permit those who use or are directly affected by policies and procedures to have the access they need. 2. Cost Effectiveness. Currently, individual offices must dedicate resources to maintaining files of relevant campuswide policies and procedures. Alternatively, the offices responsible for policy must respond to requests for policy documents as they are needed by individual users—using scarce human resources within those offices which might better be assigned to other

  • SAP Tutorial Book: The DCOM Connector Manual
  • DCOM provides a standardized basis for creating and integrating distributed software components. External client applications can use DCOM as infrastructure for their communication with SAP servers, to access R/3 components. With this technology, R/3 components such as BAPIs or remote function modules appear as COM objects and use the runtime environment of the Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS). The DCOM Connector provides a C++ Template Library developed by SAP, which you can use to create COM objects from business objects of the R/3 system and administer them. The two scenarios below describe the different uses of the DCOM Connector: PC Client Applications Client applications on a frontend use DCOM to access COM objects installed on one or more MTS servers. In such a scenario, all you need to do is distribute the client application software to different PCs. It is not necessary to install any additional SAP software on the PC, since MTS components are accessed remotely. The DCOM Connector allows you to q Concentrate on programming the client application without having to consider the RFC protocol. q Simplify table handling with ADO using standard tools (for example, Data Bound Control). q Use comfortable development environments (VB 5/6) for developing the clients. WEB Scenario You use Active Server Pages (ASP) to create WEB pages whose HTML coding contains executable scripts on the server side. ASP communicates with the MTS via DCOM to access MTS components. The MTS can run on the same machine as the web server (IIS), but this is no
  • Google Desktop Query API Developer Guide
  • The Query API described in the first part of this document was introduced with Google Desktop 3. We cover how to use it with both native plug-ins and script-based plug-ins, and assume that you are familiar with the general principles of how to write Desktop plug-ins. The latter part of this document describes methods for issuing Desktop search queries using HTTP and XML. This XML-based API is supported by both the Windows and Mac OS X versions of Google Desktop. Mac OS X support was added in Google Desktop Mac 1.0.3. You can only use the Query API if you have registered with it and thus obtained a Query API registration cookie. Note that this is in addition to the general registration of your plug-in with Google Desktop. There are two types of Query API registration cookies, read-only and read-write. Usually, you'll only need a read-only cookie. The read-write cookie is only needed when you remove an item from the Google Desktop index. We recommend that your plug-in encrypt the registration cookie when it saves it, and, of course, be able to decrypt it when you pass it to the various Query API methods and objects. You'll need a global identifier (GUID) for your plug-in to pass to the registration method. You can use a tool such as guidgen.exe to generate. Download pdf Google Desktop Query API Developer Guide
  • Making the transition from 3D Studio MAX/gMAX to trueSpace/gameSpace
  • I've been a 3D Studio MAX user for over 5 years. It's what I've always used. Once you've used a piece of software for so long, it seems difficult, sometimes impossible, to convert. The truth of the matter is that once you understand the basics of 3D graphics, the core of the problem becomes the specific software interfaces. 3D Studio MAX (and its little brother gMAX) are reasonably logical interfaces. Certain tools are organized and grouped in certain ways so that with two or three clicks of the mouse you're on your way to completing a task. Efficiency in any software comes from repetition. gameSpace, like its big brother trueSpace, takes an interesting approach in terms of its interface. Many tasks can be accomplished without cluttering the interface with overcomplicated control panels and dialogue boxes. Most functions in gameSpace are context sensitive, meaning they only appear when they can be used. And the interface can be customized in so many ways; it's difficult not to improve workflow. The goal here is to compare the features and functions of gameSpace and MAX, highlighting those most commonly used in the development of game media. This is not meant to be a tutorial or a quick start guide. By the end of this document you should have an understa nding of gameSpace's interface and appreciate how it might help you improve your workflow. • Report Runner Batch Tutorial and Documentation
  • Report Runner Batch runs on Windows NT, 200x, ME, XP, and Vista. Supports all versions of Crystal Reports. This version includes all of the necessary runtime files. You should still have an Advanced/Developer edition of Crystal Reports 9, 10, or 11 to meet licensing requirements. The password for the installer is TRIAL. Registered Jeff-Net users may download and install this Batch version for free at any time. You will need to send us your seed key to receive your 90 day TRIAL license, but when you first run JNRRB, while you're waiting on the 90 day trial key, you may use the license of 'TRIAL3' to evaluate the software for a couple of days. NOTE: If you install on a Citrix or Terminal Server or Servers in general, you must use an ADMIN ID and use Add/Remove Programs to do the install. Otherwise it will not install properly. One additional note about Citrix and Terminal Server environments: We do not limit the amount of batches that you run. In a Citrix/Terminal Server environment, allowing multiple users to randomly schedule batches to run is NOT recommended. This can cause memory issues depending on the size/speed of your server. The Crystal Reports engine uses as much memory as it can get for a given task. We seriously recommend having a Batch ‘admin’ that will handle all the scheduling and running of batches.
