iMIV Installation ManualThe Front installation is for cars without a RTI (navigation system) that are not MELBUS prepped (factory preinstalled MELBUS cable in the trunk). The iMIV can be placed behind the dashboard, in the glove compartment or underneath the passenger seat. You will have to connect both the Front Mount Power Cable and the MELBUS module to HU Cable to the back of your radio. You will also have to connect the iMIV to your iPod with the iPod Cable.
The rear installation (with RTI) is for cars with a pre-installed RTI (navigation system). The iMIV will be installed “in chain” with your RTI. The video signal of the iMIV will be hooked up to the RTI, which makes it possible to watch videos from the iMIV on the RTI screen. These videos can be played from an external video source connected to the iMIV (e.g. a DVD player) or an iPod itself (must support video like an iPod video). The iMIV will be installed in the trunk with the long iPod Cable running to the front (middle arm console).
