Important: Read all the installation instructions (and the safety information starting on page 55) carefully before you first use your computer.
If you are an experienced user, you may already know enough to get started. Make sure you look over the information in Chapter 2,“Life with Your MacBook,” to find out about the new features of this MacBook.
Many answers to questions can be found on your computer in Mac Help. For information about getting Mac Help, see “Getting Answers”on page 27. Apple may release new versions and updates to its system software, so the images shown in this book may be slightly different from what you see onscreen. Important: Remove the protective film around the 60W MagSafe Power Adapter before setting up your MacBook.

Through the entire life of Xbox, Halo and Halo 2 remained amongst the best games ever to be developed. This first game was so good that it managed to push the Xbox sells all by itself but on the PC platform, where all the players are much harsher critics and the competition is a lot closer, a place on the podium was harder to obtain. It came with a great science fiction story and a solid gameplay with very few bugs and the only problems were some memory leaks but they were later corrected through patches.
Halo Combat Evolved is relatively easy but there are some points where we could use some of the following cheats: Start the game with the -console -devmode command line parameter. This developer note describes only the changes that make the new models different from the PowerBook 3400. For information about the PowerBook 3400, see Supplemental Reference Documents, later in this preface.
This developer note is intended to help hardware and software developers design products that are compatible with the Macintosh products described here. If you are not already familiar with Macintosh computers or if you would simply like additional technical information, you may wish to read the supplementary reference documents described in this preface. This note is published only in electronic form, as an Adobe ” Acrobat ” PDF (portable document file).

According to the definitions of real-time given in (CNRS 1988) and (Stankovic 88), real-time implies on one hand that the response are waited at a precise moment (neither before nor after) and on other hand, that such systems are coupled with the real world, therefore highly concurrent. This document overviews the support for concurrency modelling provided by UML. It describes first the main concept of active object and second a (non exhaustive) list of issues pertaining to concurrency mechanism interactions. The integration of concurrency issues within object-oriented environments generated a large amount of research.
In the case of object-oriented languages, most concurrency issues are related to the concept of active object (Atkinson 91), (Guerraoui 95) et (Tripathi, Oosten et al. 99). Concrete examples of concurrent object oriented languages are Act++ , Hybrid (Nierstratz 1987), ABCL (Yonezawa, Shibayama et al. 87), Argus (Liskov 1988), PRAL RT (Fouquier and Terrier 95), RTGOL (Sourrouille and Lecoeuche 95), TOM , etc.

However, in most cases, not much effort is required for the migration. There are several reasons for this. First, the most important features of Atlas changed only marginally in ASP.NET AJAX. And second, the most convenient features already exist, not in the ASP.NET AJAX package itself but in the Atlas Control Toolkit, which is now called ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit.
This Short Cut mentions important changes for every chapter in Programming Atlas, if applicable. Not all of the functionality used in Programming Atlas survived the switch to ASP.NET AJAX; however, the most important elements of the framework are still there, and continue to work in a very similar fashion. Of course this Short Cut is not complete and does not cover every aspect that has been changed. It should help you, however, to judge whether it is feasible to port existing Atlas applications to ASP.NET AJAX or not.

Earth phenomena such as disasters also occur everywhere; such as wildfires, floods and volcanoes. There is a need to rapidly deploy existing sensors to aid emergency workers and investigators. The vision for our effort is to provide users the capability to create “mash ups” (a web application that combines data from more than one source into an integrated experience), similar to that used by Google Earth users to create a composite map with overlays of sensor information and from other data sources such as weather, traffic, urban construction etc. We make use of Web 2.0 technology and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) web service standards to enable access to Earth’s sensors is an emerging mega-trend which will lower the cost of producing customized science by an order of magnitude. This paper will outline the key aspects of our experiments to date and implications for the future and in particular the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) international effort.
Our team has been developing various ongoing prototypes with increasing complexity to demonstrate n an approach to interconnect sensors around the world and to enable easy access to the data from the sensors. Furthermore, we enable easy methods to combine various sensor data along with applying processing algorithms to provide users with customized data products.
In our demonstrations, we have used up to four satellites, one Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), multiple ground sensors, data algorithms and models in a variety ofZuckerReports iReport TutorialThis Step-By-Step tutorial shows how to use the free software “iReport” to design, deploy and run a simple report with ZuckerReports and export the result as PDF. iReport is a powerful, intuitive and easy to use visual report designer, suitable for use with ZuckerReports (http://ireport.sourceforge.net/). ZuckerReports is an extension module for Sugar Suite, the well-known Open Source Customer Relationship Management software. In short, it provides the following functions:
Management of report definitions and query templates
Management of parameter selection lists
Parametrization and execution of report definitions and query templates
Categorization of executed reports and query results for later use
Export of executed reports and query results in various formats
iReport Configuration
You have to configure iReport to get access to your Sugar database. Open menu item “Datasource -> Connections / Datasources” and click on the “New” button to open the “Connections Properties” dialog.
