  • Sculptor Java EE Tutorial
  • In this tutorial we will create a simple Java EE application. It consists of the following projects: • sculptor-helloworld-parent - Only a maven project for building the other parts. • sculptor-helloworld-ejb - EJB project containing the services and domain objects. Same as Hello World Tutorial. • sculptor-helloworld-web - Web application consisting of a jsp, which invokes the EJB service. • sculptor-helloworld-ear - EAR package of the deployable application. Setup maven projects Parent Project 1. From the command line, create a new maven project using the archetype plugin. mvn archetype:create -DgroupId=org.helloworld -DartifactId=helloworld-parent 2. Delete the src-folder and open the pom.xml file to change the packaging of your parent project to pom Download pdf Sculptor Java EE Tutorial

  • The layout of controls in the Ribbon changes when the width of the application window changes. When displayed on a large monitor, the Ribbon will adjust to show the “large versions” of groups in the Ribbon. When displayed on a small monitor, or when the user chooses to manually reduce the size of the application window, the Ribbon will adjust to show the “small versions” of groups in the Ribbon. The Ribbon is not designed for a particular display resolution. The Ribbon simply provides the best arrangement of the controls for the application and displays that arrangement appropriately for every possible size of the application window. The figure below illustrates how the layouts of controls on Microsoft Word’s Insert Tab change when the application window is horizontally resized. Note that some controls change from being displayed as large controls to being displayed as small controls when the Ribbon is narrower. Also note that some text labels for controls are removed from the Ribbon when the Ribbon is narrower. DEFINING GROUPS FOR RIBBON RESIZING 1. Resizing the width of the application window MUST change the layout of controls on the Ribbon. 2. The layout of controls on the Ribbon MUST change in real-time when the application window is resized by dragging with the mouse. The change in the layout of controls on the Ribbon MUST NOT be delayed until after the application window has been resized and the left mouse button is released. • Developing Applications with WebLogic SIP Server
  • The SIP Servlet API is a part of JAIN APIs and being standardized as JSR116 of JCP (Java Community Process). The SIP Servlet API version 1.0 was published in February, 2003. Note: In this document, the term “SIP Servlet” is used to represent the API, and “SIP servlet” is used to represent an application created with the API. J2EE provides Java Servlet that is a main technology of building Web applications. Although Java Servlet is used only to develop HTTP protocol-based applications on a Web application server, it basically has functions as a generic API for server applications. SIP Servlet is defined as the generic servlet API with SIP-specific functions added. SIP Servlets are very similar to HTTP Servlets, and HTTP servlet developers will quickly adapt to the programming model. The service level defined by both HTTP and SIP Servlets is very similar, and you can easily design applications that support both HTTP and SIP. Listing 1 shows an example of a simple SIP servlet. Listing 1-1 List 1: SimpleSIPServlet.java package com.bea.example.simple; import java.io.IOException; import javax.servlet.*; import javax.servlet.sip.*; public class SimpleSIPServlet extends SipServlet { protected void doMessage(SipServletRequest req) throws ServletException, IOException { SipServletResponse res = req.createResponse(200); res.send(); } } The above example shows a simple SIP servlet that sends back a 200 OK response to the SIP MESSAGE request. As you can see from the list, SIP Servlet and HTTP Servlet have many things in common: 1. Servlets must inherit the base class provided by the API. HTTP servlets must inherit HttpServlet, and SIP servlets must inherit SipServlet. 2. Methods doXxx must be overridden and implemented. HTTP servlets

  • The Goal: Optimizing the Home Theater Control GUI For Useability GUI = Graphical User Interface Touch screens are “cool”. Fancy color graphics, slick looking button layouts and elaborate menu structures are multiplying everywhere you look. Fancy doesn’t mean good. Remember the key reason your customers are paying you for a professional installation: They want operation to be fast and straightforward. Forget EASY... EASY suggests that your customers are stupid. They do not want to study the manuals of their theater equipment. They don’t want to remember anything. They want to relax and have fun with their system WITHOUT anything getting in their way. The purpose of the home theater control GUI is to GET OUT OF THEIR WAY and SAVE THEM TIME. The pleasure of an automated system is that you spend the MINIMUM TIME operating the system and the maximum time enjoying the system. Cool looking graphical symbols and crowded screens REQUIRE that your customer be trained. They don’t have time or inclination to learn, they just want to have fun. What’s in it for you? “Designing cool graphics is fun. Making a complete graphic interface exclusive to my company is great advertising.” First, designing graphics is fun. It’s a nice break from installing home theaters. However, most businesses are complaining that they don’t have enough people to do the jobs available to them. You only make a profit if you are installing gear. No matter what you charge for labor, it will not make your company profits. Installing home theaters generates profits. Designing graphics

  • This document contains a summary of useful GNU Emacs commands. Invoking Emacs To invoke the Emacs editor use the command: % emacs [filename] e.g. % emacs test.file The following screen will then be displayed. If you are editing an existing file, the first 20 lines or so will be diplayed. == Emacs ================================= A status line is displayed near the bottom of the screen. Beneath the status line is the command line which is used to input information, such as the file name when you are reading a file. Emacs Commands Emacs employs commands which are executed by typing one or two keys. The commands also have a name, usually consisting of a number of words, separated by hyphens. For example: consists of a single keystroke, and K simultaneously. The command is called kill-line. F consists of two separate keystrokes, followed by F. The command is called forwardword. Typing X name enables you to run the command name using the name given in this document. For example X kill-line Download Gnu Emacs Facts Sheet Pdf

  • 2002 and Up Nissan Altima Short Throw Shift Adapter Installation Manual
  • The theory behind the TWM Performance Short Throw Shift Adapter is to adjust the point at which the shifter cable attaches to the shift actuator on the transmission. This adapter is fixed onto the stock shift actuator and the shift cable is attached to the adapter rather than the actuator. The new point of attachment is placed closer to the pivot or fulcrum of the actuator thus reducing the distance the shifter (inside the car) must move in order to engage a gear. Step 1: Remove the four bolts which secure the airbox to the chassis. Step 2: Unclip the MAF from the intake tube and remove the rubber tube connected to the air box. Then remove the airbox from the vehicle. Step 3: Remove the cotter pin that secures the shift cable to the shift actuator. Step 4: Remove the shift cable from the old shift cable mounting point. Step 5: Using the following diagram, place the TWM Performance Short Throw Shift Adapter onto the shift actuator. Download pdf 2002 and Up Nissan Altima Short Throw Shift Adapter Installation Manual
  • A Posteriori Defensive Programming: an Annotation Toolkit for DoS-resistant Component-Based Architectures
  • Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks make a system unavailable to well-behaved users by consuming a disproportionate amount of resources on the target system. DoS typically exploit weakness in the software, for instance consuming the bandwidth of the victim’s network or overloading the computational resources of its system. A lot of factors are involved when trying to build DoS resistant software. To make things worse, most of them are typically unknown during the development of the application. Reasonable hypotheses can facilitate the prevention of such attacks, but new ones can always arise and be exploited to damage systems. Researchers have studied the nature of these attacks [11, 7] and possible defense methodologies [12, 10], but building DoS resistant software still remains a challenging task. Building robust software can be achieved by adopting different techniques. For instance, in procedural or object- Download A Posteriori Defensive Programming: an Annotation Toolkit for DoS-resistant Component-Based Architectures
  • Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat Gen 4 1.8T BCS (Boost Control System) Installation Instructions
  • The rear panel calibration adjustment allows you to fine tune the BCS for your vehicle. If the setting is too high or too low, your car will not make full power. After the BCS is installed, the rear panel adjustment can be set during a short test drive. Start with the setting on maximum (100). See if the car pulls strongly to redline. Turn down the setting until the cars pulls strongly to redline in all gears. If the cars surges (cyclic variation in power), turn down the setting a little bit. Wiring Instructions The diagram below shows the location of the wires on the ECU connector plugs that are used to tie in the BCS. Be sure to trace the wires to the ECU pins to insure that connections are made to the correct wires. Do not go by wire color alone. You must confirm the correct wire by connector location. Connections will be made to the wiring harness a few inches from the side of the engine computer. All connections are made using the crimp connectors that are provided. The T-tap connectors are in two parts. The dark red piece is clamped onto the wire with a pair of pliers. After striping the corresponding wire from the BCS, crimp on the male spade connector. Make sure you crimp onto the bare wire and not the insulation. Shrink the insulation onto the wire with a heat gun. Inspect the male spade connector to make sure that the spade terminal is centered inside
