  • AIM has developed special applications for many of the most common ECUs: by special applications we mean user-friendly systems which allow to easily connect your ECU to our high tech data loggers: user needs only to install harness between the logger and the ECU. Once connected, the logger displays (and/or records, depending on the logger and on the ECU data stream) values like RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), air and water temperatures, battery voltage, speed, gear, lambda value (air/fuel ratio) analog channels… All AIM loggers include – free of charge – Race Studio 2 software, a powerful tool to configure the system and analyze recorded data on your PC. Warning: once the ECU is connected to the logger, it is necessary to set it in the logger configuration in Race Studio 2 software. Select Manufacturer “Bosch” and Model “Audi”. Refer to Race Studio Configuration user manual for further information concerning the loggers configuration. Download pdf Volkswagen Golf 1800 – 2000 and 2300 cc – ECU Bosch ME 7.5
  • Creating True Scale Map Books with AutoCAD Map 3D 2009
  • The Map Book function has been a Part of Map 3D since the early days of ADE. In the last several releases the functionality has become very robust and a whole lot easier to use due to the Sheet Set Manager and a Wizard. That being said, there is one piece of the Map Books that can cause you to go nuts (and many folks it seems just give up)… setting a % Overlap value and still getting a scaled map book. The key to solving this dilemma is in the Map Book template (.dwt). The following is a discussion of and tutorial on how to properly set up a map book template to produce a properly scaled Map Book set (and stop ramming your head against your desk). Overlap actually scales your viewport by the value and does NOT compensate for the Scale you set the viewport to be. THIS IS THE KEY #1 That being said, your scale affects the Viewport in your Map Book .dwt file. The Viewport has to be created to match the desired scale of the Map Book compared to the size of your Map Book Grid. To be successful in scale you must create the Grid (in model space) and use the “Custom” Tiling option. Do not use the “By Area” and “By Number” Tiling Options. THIS IS KEY #2. Yes, I also think AutoCAD is supposed to be doing the Math for us, but alas, human intervention is still alive and necessary!
  • Case Study on the Bluetooth Vulnerabilities in Mobile Devices
  • Summary As the widespread use and acceptance of Bluetooth continues concerns are being raised related to security vulnerabilities and privacy issues inherent in the use of this technology. Inadequate device resources and lack of user awareness has compounded this issue where the emphasis on design constraints, functionality and ease of use sometimes outweigh security concerns. Recently some concerns have being highlighted relating to the possible security vulnerabilities in commonly used devices, and also the possibility of the imperceptible tracking of device users through the use of distributed and connected Bluetooth sensor nodes. This paper discusses some of these issues and highlights a number of vulnerabilities in the current generation of Bluetooth enabled devices. In particular, the current methods being used to exploit these vulnerabilities are discussed and the results from a case study are presented which identify the percentage of popular devices susceptible to this type of misuse. Key words: Bluetooth Security, Bluesnarfing, Bluebug, Privacy. Download pdf Case Study on the Bluetooth Vulnerabilities in Mobile Devices
  • The New Web: Characterizing AJAX Traffic
  • The rapid advent of “Web 2.0” applications has unleashed new HTTP traffic patterns which differ from the conventional HTTP request-response model. In particular, asynchronous pre-fetching of data in order to provide a smooth web browsing experience and richer HTTP payloads (e.g., Javascript libraries) of Web 2.0 applications induce larger, heavier, and more bursty traffic on the underlying networks. We present a traffic study of Web 2.0 applications including Google Maps, modern Web-email, and social networking Web sites, and compare them with all HTTP traffic. We highlight the key differences of Web 2.0 traffic from traditional HTTP traffic through statistical analysis. As such our work elucidates the changing face of one of the most popular application on the Internet: The World Wide Web. The World Wide Web [1] is one of the most popular applications of the Internet that runs primarily over the HTTP protocol. While HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) [2] constitutes the session layer or messaging protocol of the Web, the HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) describes the content and allows authors to connect up web pages through hypertext links or hyperlinks; an idea made popular by Tim Burners Lee in the early 1990s and widely used today. In its classical form, users reach other pages or access new data by clicking on hyperlinks or submitting Web based forms. In this basic HTTP request-response model each clicked link or submitted form results in loading of a new web page in response to the respective request. The recent popularity of asynchronouscommunication enabled

  • Sculptor Archetype Tutorial
  • In this tutorial we will create a simple Java EE application from scratch using the Maven archetypes provided by Sculptor. It consists of the following projects: • sculptor-helloworld-parent - Only a maven project for building the other parts. • sculptor-helloworld - Business tier. EJB project containing the services and domain objects. • sculptor-helloworld-web - Presentation tier. Web application with CRUD GUI. • sculptor-helloworld-ear - EAR package of the deployable application. Setup maven projects We start with creating a script that calls the 4 maven archetypes to generate the project structures and maven build files. It also does an inital build and generation of Eclipse project with the maven eclipse plugin. Of course you can execute these commands one by one from the command prompt, but the script is useful when doing this several times. Copy the following script to sculptor-archetypes.cmd, located in the root of your Eclipse workspace. Adjust paths to your environment. set MVN_HOME=C:devtoolsMaven-2.0.6 set JAVA_HOME=C:devtoolsJdk-1.5.0_12 set path=%MVN_HOME%bin;%JAVA_HOME%bin Download pdf Sculptor Archetype Tutorial

  • OK, first the banging and force pulling method is OUT !!!! All of the Bravo/a seat head rests can be removed whit ease. You only need these pliers (don’t know the right name ;) ) The next step is to pull up the head rest and grip the pins whit these pliers. WARNING : Put some thick cloth under them plieers, or the plastic will get “eaten“ ! Then when you have a good grip, turn the pliers in CLOCKWISE direction for 90°. You will feel something give away and it will turn more easy, that is the lock giving away. After you have done that, just pull the head rest out of the seat. And that’s it, all done ! There’s a Blaupunkt stereo system with a single CD player and remote controls on the leatherwrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The SRi shares much of the Convertible’s equipment but misses out on its side airbags, its electronic stability program (ESP), its full leather trim, its heated front seats and its trip computer. BODY AND FINISH: The Astra convertible is built by design specialists Bertone in Italy, and their work is impressive both from the car’s good looks and the quality of the conversion. The power-operated soft-top has triple fabric layers for better heat and sound insulation, and has a scratch-resistant (and heated) glass rear window. There is also a detachable windbreak screen that clips in behind the front seats. The soft-top can be raised or lowered from outside the car via the remote key, or by a button on the console. I’ve driven the Convertible during inclement weather and the hood proved to be both weathertight and free of undue wind noises. The Convertible’s body also impresses as being much stiffer than some other convertibles, with a pleasing absence of scuttle shake over rough surfaces. Compared to the standard Astra hatchbacks, the SRi version gets
