Its staunchest advocates proclaim it a complete philosophical and technological reworking of how the web functions. Others declare that it is meaningless. However, most agree on common characteristics of a Web 2.0 application, such as increased interactivity, the acceptance of user input for building community and a reliance on client-side functionality. Additionally, Web 2.0 applications can be more vulnerable to exploitation by hackers than their predecessors. Hackers spend most of their time gathering information. When Web 2.0 applications push functionality and code to users, they provide hackers with information that can be used for formulating attacks. Often, old attacks such as cross-site scripting become more dangerous when used against Web 2.0 applications. This white paper defines some of the common technological components of Web 2.0 applications and discusses ways of securing them against exploitation.
Web 2.0 components
Web 2.0 uses the web for delivering information that is often created through community contribution. Wikis and blogs are good examples of these types of appli cations. The main attribute of a Web 2.0 application is interactivity. More functionality is on the client, and less is on the server. As a result, requests are updated in the browser without refreshing the entire page. For example, consider Google Maps. Instead of a static page, you can drill down or zoom in and out of a map without making requests for a new page. Aspect Oriented Software Development (AOSD) is a new methodology that tries to enable the extension of the separation of concerns capabilities in software development. AOSD, which encompasses Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP), hopes to enable the developer or architect to capture crosscutting concerns in a modular fashion.
The objectives of the dissertation include the design, implementation and evaluation of a tool that enables the modularisation of crosscutting concerns within C#, that we have called “AspectC#”. AspectC# must:
Allow the developer to use AOP constructs within C#.
Make no explicit language extensions to C#.
Be extensible for future development.
AspectC# hopes to enable the developer to modularise crosscutting concerns within C#. By modularising crosscutting concerns this will lead to an easier development and maintenance of applications.
The evaluation included a small case study comparing an example using AspectC# and OOP with C#. We believe the case study and tool supports the case for the use and promotion of AOSD. Special emphasis was placed on picking a real world, easily understood example of the use of the tool and we believe this represents an excellent introduction to some of the most widely used AOP and AOSD techniques.

To create relief in Photoshop you need first to get a grayscale to height image into the program. I will not go into details for this tutorial, I will simply use a grayscale image created using MacDEM, a remarkably powerful yet simple application that is a vital part of many a cartographer’s toolbox (available at http://www.treeswallow.com/macdem/ ).

Using the shampoo samples given to you by your teacher, determine the pH of each of the samples. You can determine pH by using a method familiar to you, such as using pH strips or probes. Record the pH of your shampoo samples below:
Shampoo name pHPart II: Treating hair samples in solutions of varying pH Complete the following activity in your lab group and answer the questions that follow.
Procedure:
1. Obtain 4 wooden splints; 4 test dishes; 20 strands of the same type of hair; and 4 strips of tape.
2. Clean the 4 dishes in pH neutral solution and rinse thoroughly with distilled water. (Be sure to clean all glassware after each use so that the samples are not contaminated.)
3. Label the test dishes pH 2.0, pH 6.0, pH 10.0, and pH 12.0. Add 10 mL of the appropriate pH solution to each of the dishes.
4. Tape 5 strands of hair to each splint with one end fastened, and the other end free to be immersed in the test solutions. Label the ends of each splint with pH 2.0, pH 6.0, pH 10.0, and pH 12.0.
