  • GTK+ 2.0 Tree View Tutorial
  • GtkTreeView is a widget that displays single- or multi-columned lists and trees. It replaces the old Gtk+-1.2 Gtk-CList and GtkCTree widgets. Even though GtkTreeView is slightly harder to master than its predecessors, it is so much more powerful and flexible that most application developers will not want to miss it once they have come to know it. The purpose of this chapter is not to provide an exhaustive documentation of GtkTreeView - that is what the API documentation is for, which should be read alongside with this tutorial. The goal is rather to present an introduction to the most commonly-used aspects of GtkTreeView, and to demonstrate how the various GtkTreeView components and concepts work together. Furthermore, an attempt has been made to shed some light on custom tree models and custom cell renderers, which seem to be often-mentioned, but rarely explained. Developers looking for a quick and dirty introduction that teaches them everything they need to know in less than five paragraphs will not find it here. In the author’s experience, developers who do not understand how the tree view and the models work together will run into problems once they try to modify the given examples, whereas developers who have worked with other toolkits that employ the Model/View/Controller-design will find that the API reference provides all the information they need to know in more condensed form anyway. Those who disagree may jump straight to the working example code of course. Please note that the code examples in the following sections do not

  • A Plan 9 Newbie's Guide
  • This is a quick-start guide to the user interface of the Plan 9 operating system based on my own experiences getting started at Coraid. For concreteness, it describes the setup actually used at Coraid. Some knowledge of UNIX and of commercial GUIs (Windows, MacOS, or recent Linux) is presumed. This is not a technical guide to Plan 9. This is only a "guide for the perplexed" to teach you just enough Plan 9 to get you started. The information given here is not complete my goal is to give you a useful subset. Thus I will skip some menu items and commands at every stage, the ones you do not need immediately. I assume that you will eventually read the official documentation Plan 9 is an experimental UNIX-like operating system developed by Bell Labs and released as open-souce freeware. It has requirements comparable to Windows 95 (e.g., 32 MB RAM on a 486) and is often used in embedded systems. That is bad Latin for, "More UNIX than the UNIXes themselves" (cf. Romanis ipsis Romanior) and sums up what Plan 9 is like. Plan 9 is based on the same ideas as early UNIX simplicity, compactness, and orthogonality but implements some of them differently, in ways that are (I would argue) closer to the spirit of UNIX than normal present-day UNIX implementations. Specifically: Instead of NFS, SAMBA, etc., there is normally just one file-sharing protocol, called 9P, and it is transparent to the user. You just carry your whole.... Download pdf A Plan 9 Newbie's

  • Peugeot 407 Hdi Coupé PDF Manual
  • The Peugeot Coupé has the confidence to know that it doesn’t have to set out to impress anyone. It oozes self confidence and style. In typical Gallic fashion it simply says “I’m here if you want me” if you don’t it shrugs its shoulders, knowing you will give it a second look. The 407 Coupé is the prince of the 407 range. The playboy prince with the good looks, charm and cheekiness. Well maybe that’s a bit extreme. In reality this car turns heads, makes the driver and passengers feel good. And it performs. Which makes the Coupé a bit of a conundrum in its own right. This is a car that is capable of well over 220kph (140mph+) and yet returns remarkable fuel efficiency. The twin turbo motor is almost indistinguishable from the petrol sister apart from the rev counter red lined at 4,500rpm. And the remarkable torque. The petrol version can rev some 2500rpm more than the diesel. And yet the diesel Coupé is just as quick. Who will buy the 407 Coupé? Executives, and others, who wish to display a combination of brains, financial acumen and taste. With Coupé you get the lot. It will also sell to discerning private buyers; those who want some fun in their motoring. 407 Coupé should sell well. Its looks and performance should see to that. • Using the Semantic Web for linking and reusing data across Web 2.0 communities
  • Large volumes of content (bookmarks, reviews, videos, etc.) are currently being created on the “Social Web”, i.e. on Web 2.0 community sites, and this content is being annotated and commented upon. The ability to view an individual’s entire contribution to the Social Web would be an interesting and valuable service, particularly important as social networks are often being formed through created content and things that people have in common (“object-centred sociality”). SIOC is a Semantic Web research project that aims to describe online communities on the Social Web. This paper describes how SIOC and the Semantic Web can enable linking and reuse scenarios of data from Web 2.0 community sites, and introduces a SIOC Types module to further specify the type of content items and act as a “glue” between user posts and the content items created and annotated by users. The Web is increasingly becoming a social place: there has been a shift from just existing on the Web to participating on the Web. Community applications such as collaborative wikis, blogging, photo and bookmark sharing, and online social networks have become very popular recently, both in personal/social and professional/organisational domains [1]. Most of these collaborative applications provide common features such as content creation and sharing (images, user profiles, bookmarks, articles, etc.), provisions for discussions related to the content (comments, talk pages) and user-to-user connections (circle of friends, private messaging, etc.) and networks of users are also forming through content items of common interest (in what has been termed “object-centred sociality”
  • Regional BGAN Satellite IP Modem Advanced Troubleshooting Guide
  • This Advanced Troubleshooting Guide is intended to be used by approved Inmarsat Distribution Partners, Service Providers and Distributors as a supplemental tool to the Regional BGAN Satellite IP Modem User Manual and FAQ’s published on the Inmarsat Regional BGAN micro site when diagnosing Modem problems. The instructions in this guide assume that the reader has general knowledge of the Regional BGAN Satellite IP Modem and Microsoft Windows. For confirmation of a suspected defective Modem, SIM, charger or battery, this guide will refer to the A-B-A test. The A-B-A test is simply (A) confirming the problem with the customer’s suspected defective components, (B) substituting a known good component to prove that repairing or replacing the suspected defective component fixes the problem, and (A) again duplicating the problem with the original defective customer components. 1. A = duplicate reported problem using customer’s suspected defective components. 2. B = replace suspected defective component with a known good component to verify resolution of problem. 3. A = duplicate reported problem once again using customer’s original suspected defective components Download pdf Regional BGAN Satellite IP Modem Advanced Troubleshooting Guide
