BRL-CAD Tutorial Series: Volume I - Overview and InstallationSince 1979, the U.S. Army Research Laboratory has been developing and distributing the BRL-CAD constructive solid geometry (CSG) modeling package for a wide range of military and industrial applications. The package includes a large collection of tools and utilities including an interactive geometry editor, raytracing and generic framebuffer libraries, a network-distributed image processing and signal-processing capabilitym and an embedded scripting language.
As part of this effort, a multivolume tutorial series is being developed to assist users in the many features of the BRL-CAD package. The “Overview and Instalaiton” guide, which is the first volume in the series, addresses the background, purpose, and strengths of the package; the libraries and utilities included within it, platform-specific installation instructions; and information about bugs and updates. Other volumes focus on advanced features, individual utilities and programming.

On Windows, a plug-in is built as a DLL (dynamic-link library). On Macintosh, a plug-in is built as a bundle that contains a shared library. The plug-in architecture in Illustrator is very powerful. Plug-ins have access to Illustrator’s elegant vector, text, and raster engines, as well as Illustrator’s user interface. The API is a fundamental part of the application; in fact, most of Illustrator itself is implemented as plug-ins. You can create plug-ins that add new tools to the drawing, shading, and raster tools already in Illustrator. Plug-ins can turn Illustrator into a powerful CAD, cartographic, or other custom design application. Users can add or remove plug-ins to quickly and easily customize Illustrator to their needs.
The Illustrator API offers several benefits to plug-in developers. Because Illustrator handles large application tasks like printing and saving files, you can concentrate on the implementation of your plug-in’s unique features. Plug-ins do not need to support undo or window updating; these are handled by the API and are invisible to the plug-in. This translates into shorter development cycles.
Your plug-in also can take advantage of Adobe Dialog Manager (ADM), a cross-platform, user-interface API. Plug-ins that use ADM floating panels are completely integrated with Illustrator; the panels can be docked, undocked, and controlled as if they were built into Illustrator.

Google Earth provides satellite imagery depicting the entire earth and allows users to insert three-dimensional objects at specific latitudinal and longitudinal locations.
Software Requirements:
To complete this tutorial you must have installed on your computer the following:
• Blender Version 2.43a (or later) (Available at: http://www.blender.org )
• Google Earth Version 4.0.2091 Beta (or later) (Available at: http://earth.google.com )
• Collada Plug-in for Blender 1.4.0 Version 0.3.108 (Available at: http://colladablender.illusoft.com/downloads.html ) Note: This is an updated version of the Collada export that ships with Blender 2.43a. Versions earlier than 0.3.108 will not work properly. Download the 0.3.108 (or later) version. Open with WinZip. Select All. Extract to C: Program FilesBlender FoundationBlender.blenderscripts
• Python Programming Language Version 2.4.3 ( Available at: http://www.python.org/download/ ) Note: The latest version of Python (version 2.5) will not work with the Collada 1.4 V 0.3.108 plug-in.
Software Test:
To make sure you have all of the proper software installed, open Blender to the default scene. Select File / Export / Collada 1.4 (.dae). The Collada Export dialogue screen will be displayed. Set the file name to “test” and set to save it to your desktop. Select Triangles, Disable Physics, and Use Relative Paths.
Download pdf Blender to Google Earth WorkshopRuby Programming - Delightful LanguagesThis is a brief recounting of my initial impressions of and experience with the Ruby programming language and its community. In many ways Ruby strikes the same chord in me that Perl did a decade or more ago. I show Ruby from a Perl perspective. When I first encountered Perl, I found the language to be a little strange coming from a C background. From time to time I would use Perl to write things I would have written in C or shell, and soon Perl was my tool of choice for many tasks. Ruby is having a similar effect on me. Sometimes I prototype Perl code in Ruby, sometimes I just use Ruby for the sake of seeing if I arrive at a different solution using a di?erent language.
Like Perl, Ruby makes programming fun, but in a different way. Ruby borrows features from many languages, and one of those is Perl. I can simply translate Perl code into Ruby if I want. I will use the Soundex function as an example, as the algorithm is simple and my Perl implementation will reveal something about my abilities as a programmer. The Soundex algorithm is a simple hashing of the letters of a word to a four character code which brings similar sounding words to the same code. In 1994 I posted a routine, shown in code listing 1, to comp.lang.perl which shows both the simplicity of the Soundex algorithm and my Perl style at its worst (or best).

Added benefits and savings occur when you check that the engine, undercarriage, and noise emission control parts are in good working order during lubrication. This maintenance manual explains when you should lubricate parts and what to look for when checking for wear or damage. For daily and weekly checks, refer to the vehicle driver’s manual.

It is caused by the shape of the eye, usually due to the cornea’s surface or occasionally due to the eye’s lens being tilted. Sometimes astigmatism can be inherited but it often happens as a normal characteristic of growth.
Blur from astigmatism is not like that from myopia where all of an image is equally blurred, because some parts of the image are more out of focus than others. If you look at the line diagrams, you can see the effect of astigmatism by tilting the tip the page down and facing away from you the lines running across the page are less distinct than those running away from you.
The blur of astigmatism makes things uncomfortable to look at, difficult to focus and may cause headaches, tiredness and poor concentration.
What about tired eyes?
Astigmatism can also result in fatigued eyes, especially if you are concentrating on anything for a long period of time, whether looking up close (for example, studying or computer use) or in the distance (for example, driving).

It adds one AT-command style compatible Modem that can be directly connected to a dial-up telephone line. The modem interface is a 16C550A compatible UART with 16 byte TX RX FIFOs. The I/O port address and the IRQ used can be set with jumper blocks on the board itself. Typically, the TS Modem comes with a 33K baud modem, though it can be purchased with the optional feature of a 56K baud modem. The TS-Modem can also be purchased with the optional 16-bit PC/104 connector, which is required if using IRQ 10, 11, 12,14, or 15.
The TS-Modem can also be purchased with the optional on-board speaker, which is useful during development to monitor call progress. The modem speaker can be turned off by removing a jumper. The TS-Modem comes with the following features.
• Data Modem at line speeds of 33.6Kbps (optional 56Kbaud upon request)
• Uses industry standard AT style commands.
• NVRAM directory and profile storage.
• Tone and Pulse dialing
• Optional Speaker can be disabled/enabled with Jumper
• COM PORT Jumper Selectable as COM1 thru COM6.
• Uses IRQ 3-7, 9-12, 14-15
• +5V operation
• RJ11C (telephone line)
Download pdf for TS-Modem Users ManualMYSQL BASICSWHAT IS A MySQL DATABASE ?
A MySQL database is just a useful way to store and order a lot of information. “Databases are most useful when it comes to storing information that fits into logical categories. For example, say that you wanted to store information of all the employees in a company. With a database you can group different parts of your business into separate tables to help store your information logically. Example tables might be: Employees, Supervisors, and Customers. Each table would then contain columns specific to these three areas.”
Utilizing a MySQL Database with PHP adds functionality that will let us create Web Applications, such as BLOGS and Social Networking Sites ( re: Facebook, Myspace etc) . Think of a site with a lot of searchable information such as CNN, The NYTIMES or PITCH- FORKMEDIA. Guaranteed they all use some form of Database structure.
FIRST STEP - CREATING DATABASE & TABLES
Go to your start Menu and look for ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > COMMAND PROMPT.
You will get a little black window like this: Here is where we will type our commands to create the database etc
