Some of the statements we make will offend you, and hopefully more of them will agree with you. So as you read this paper, please remember our three promises:
1. We promise to compare these choices at a logical, neutral, and unbiased level.
2. We promise to tell the tale about how we really do feel about these technologies.
3. We promise to dispel the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) that exists in the marketplace today.
Although both J2EE and .NET cover a great deal of technologies and standards, we will focus specifically on building server-side systems as web services using these architectures (for example, we will not be mentioning Jini or Office XP). After reading this white paper, you will have a solid understanding of how these architectures compare, and be empowered to make intelligent decisions in new web services initiatives.
The first half of this whitepaper is background information about web services, J2EE, and .NET. If you already understand these technologies, feel free to skip ahead to the 2nd half of the paper, which is the juicy comparison.

Step 1. (Optional) Preparation prior to fitting
Before you start removing your old parts you may want to consider preventing your new parts from corroding like the existing ones. You could smear a protective oil or grease over the exposed metal and rub it over or you could like myself spray paint the metal parts.
Step 2. Draw around the Bonnet Pin
Open bonnet and secure with the bonnet stay. It is important that you refit your new bonnet pin in the exact same position as the old one, so carefully with a pencil or dry marker, draw around the bonnet pin.
Step 3. Removing Bonnet Pin
Using a ratchet and a 10mm socket, slowly start to unscrew the two bolts holding the bonnet pin to the bonnet. If the bolts are rusty try to use some WD40 to help penetrate the rust.
Step 4. Removing Air Intake Pipe
Carefully remove the air intake pipe over the radiator using the 10mm socket on the three bolts highlighted below.
Step 5. Unhooking the Bonnet Release Cable & Removing Lock Once the air intake pipe has been removed, you should now be able to see between the slam panel and the radiator. Carefully looking between and you’ll see the bonnet release cable. To detach the cable simple put a flat headed screwdriver into the position indicated by the red dot and carefully prise the cable outIBM ThinkPad 570 Users Guide PdfWe have designed the ThinkPad 570 computer with your mobile computing needs in mind. Download IBM ThinkPad 570 Users Guide PdfImplementing a Texture Caching SystemTexture caching systems are designed to overcome the texture budget limitations of 3D games. Only the textures required to display the current scene are held in RAM. When new textures need to appear in the scene, they are loaded from a larger and slower repository, or they are dynamically generated.
For example, textures can be pulled from disk into system RAM or downloaded from system RAM into the video RAM of a 3D accelerator. Textures can be dynamically generated by combining illumination maps with unlit source textures. QUAKE was one of the first games to implement a texture caching system that interacts closely with the 3D pipeline to cache graphics in an efficient manner (see References). DOOM cached textures as well, but its system was more of a solid- state approach, as was the data caching scheme in the 2D side-scroller ABUSE. The source code to both ABUSE and DOOM is now available; see the References at the end of this article. This article is broken into two parts. First, we’ll discuss the nature of texture maps and the issues involved in implementing a texture cache. Then, we’ll look at some concrete implementations of caching systems used in games that are currently under development.
Textures and MIP-mapping
Texture storage is all about MIP-maps. MIP-maps are prefiltered versions of a texture map stored at varying resolutions. To simplify this discussion, we will focus on MIP-maps that are square and are a power-of-two in width (1×1, 2×2, 4×4, ). We will speak of a MIP-mapMac OS - Make A Bootable MAC CD using Toast GuideThis information was compiled from the Roxio Toast web site, other Mac users, and my own experience. This information is not copyrighted (especially since I have borowed logos and trademarked names) so feel free to share it. Version 1.2 January 30, 2002 I was very frustrated! After creating six “coasters”, I thought there was no way to burn a bootable Mac CD using Toast. I followed their directions, the help I found on the Toast web site was unclear, and I downloaded someone else s instructions and just couldn’t do it.
While I’m not a computer expert, I have used Mac’s since (this dates me) 1985 and can probably do better troubleshooting and mechanical work than the geek that charges $75 an hour. So I poked around, put together the pieces of the puzzle and burned a bootable Mac OS CD. While I was doing that, I wrote this to help anyone else who was as frustrated as I was. Yes, it’s lengthy and detailed but if you follow step-by-step you won’t have any “coasters”. If you find any errors or omissions feel free to email me at thofts@mac.com. Thanks! - - Tom PS - Please keep the “stuffed” copy of this in your SHARED FOLDER so others on the network can get to it when I’m offline. –Thanks!
Download manual for Mac OS - Make A Bootable MAC CD using Toast GuideAn Introduction to the Java Programming LanguageIn 1991, a group of Sun Microsystems engineers led by James Gosling decided to develop a language for consumer devices (cable boxes, etc.). They wanted the language to be small and use efficient code since these devices do not have powerful CPUs. They also wanted the language to be hardware independent since different manufacturers would use different CPUs. The project was code-named Green.
These conditions led them to decide to compile the code to an intermediate machine-like code for an imaginary CPU called a virtual machine. (Actually, there is a real CPU that implements this virtual CPU now.) This intermediate code (called bytecode) is completely hardware independent. Programs are run by an interpreter that converts the bytecode to the appropriate native machine code. Thus, once the interpreter has been ported to a computer, it can run any bytecoded program.
Sun uses UNIX for their computers, so the developers based their new language on C++. They picked C++ and not C because they wanted the language to be object-oriented. The original name of the language was Oak. However, they soon discovered that there was already a programming language called Oak, so they changed the name to Java.
The Green project had a lot of trouble getting others interested in Java for smart devices. It was not until they decided to shift gears and market Java as a language for web applications that interest in Java took off. Many of the advantages that Java has for smart devices are even bigger advantages on the web.

This tutorial was made using Adobe Photoshop cs2. I am not a professional in post-processing and I do this for fun. Since I have learned most of the things I know about post-processing by reading on the internet, this tutorial is my way to give back.
The photograph I am using for this tutorial was taken by me and I am the model. Note that usually, the results of photoshop work like this look better on a female’s portrait. :)
Please, don’t complain because the composition and lighting are bad, some area are blowned out, soft skin looks better on females etc etc.. I KNOW !! :) It’s ALL about the skin being smoother and keeping the details of the eyes, mouth and hairs.
Enjoy, I really do hope you learn something new. Please forgive my bad writing skills in english.
Let’s start..
Download pdf Photoshop Tutorial Soft skinBreaking Eggs And Making Omelettes: Intelligence Gathering For Open Source Software DevelopmentThere is an ongoing information war raging in the software world. Despite free software developers’ best efforts, new proprietary software continues to proliferate. Improved techniques must be developed to reverse engineer efficiently closed data formats so that free, interoperable solutions can be deployed under Linux.
Software reverse engineering occurs on various levels. It may be necessary to study a piece of poorly written, poorly commented code developed in a high-level language such as C++ and understand what the original program was supposed to accomplish. It may also be necessary to disassemble a program that has been compiled into machine language and express it as a higher-level language. In doing this, the underlying algorithms can eventually be expressed as higher-level concepts in a human language. After obtaining an algorithmic description via reverse engineering, the algorithm can be reimplemented for any language on any computing platform.
Scope
This paper discusses the technical issues and challenges surrounding software reverse engineering. This topic has always been the subject of much legal and ethical controversy, particularly with respect to such intellectual property ideas such as patents, trade secrets, and software ownership. However, that discussion is outside the scope of this paper.
Motivation
The Linux operating system, as well as free and open source software in general, has made extraordinary strides in the computer world in the past decade. Once confined to the back office server, Linux has become a more viable option for desktop computing. However, in order to create a desktop computing platform (and in some respects, a server)
