  • Cyberbully AlerT User Guide
  • Once the CyberBully Alert software is installed on your child’s Macintosh or Windows PC computer, your child will have an icon placed on his or her computer’s Menu or TASk bar. If your child receives a threat online, he or she can click on the icon and send an immediate message to a computer and/or cell phone. The software also immediately captures a shot of the active screen—which is then stored in a CYBerBullY AlerT™ folder in the computer’s DOCuMenTS or MY DOCuMenTS folder. Your child also has the option of giving more details and further documenting the threat. There are 4 easy steps to install and use CyberBully Alert™. 1. Downloading the Software 2. Configuring the Software 3. using the Alert System 4. Reviewing messages Use an Empowering Strategy with Your Child. • Involve your child in the download process. The more you and your child can be partners—and the more your child can understand and assume responsibility for the process—the more effective the process will be. • encourage a discussion about the importance of online safety with your child. In a comfortable, relaxed setting, sit down with your child and discuss the benefits of CyberBully Alert™. Ask your child how he or she feels about the process and check for understanding during the download process and at regular intervals throughout the year. • Discuss with your child who will be registered to receive alerts. If you haven’t already done so, activate your membership and DownloAD the CyberBully Alert™ software. • Click on the link above to take you
  • Dynamic Buffer Overflow Detection
  • The capabilities of seven dynamic buffer overflow detection tools (Chaperon, Valgrind, CCured, CRED, Insure++, ProPolice and TinyCC) are evaluated in this paper. These tools employ different approaches to runtime buffer overflow detection and range from commercial products to opensource gcc-enhancements. A comprehensive testsuite was developed consisting of speci?cally-designed test cases and model programs containing real-world vulnerabilities. Insure++, CCured and CRED provide the highest buffer overflow detection rates, but only CRED provides an open-source, extensible and scalable solution to detecting buffer overflows. Other tools did not detect one-by-one errors, did not scale to large programs, or performed poorly on complex programs. • Common Web Application Attack Types and Security Using ASP.NET
  • The security of information systems is a wide area. Its development followed that of information systems, whose development in turn followed advances in hardware. As computers and software have developed real fast: "To put it quite bluntly: as long as there were no machines, programming was no problem at all; when we had a few weak computers, programming became a mild problem, and now we have gigantic computers, programming had become an equally gigantic problem." [1], so have developed the possibilities for security breaches. Security and protection are very important areas of computers science and IT industry. One way to describe this area is: "Security can be defined as set of methods and techniques which control data accessed by executing applications. Even wide definition includes a set of methods, techniques and legal standards which control data access by applications and humans, and protect the physical integrity of whole computer system, no matter if it is distributed or not, or if it is centralized or decentralized." According to the American Computer Security Institute (CSI)’s 2005 Computer Crime and Security Survey, which enclosed big corporations, 56% of the subjects reported the detection of unauthorized use of their computer systems in last year. Also, according to the same survey, more than 95% of responding organizations experienced more than 10 Web site incidents. [3]. Today IT security has many sub areas focusing on different aspects of security, from lower levels of ISO OSI model, all the way to the application layer. Since security in lower levels

One simplification is to model it as a small Local Area Network. Previ- ous work has shown that a gossip-based multicast can be an effective tool for modeling the flow of information on a local area network. We examine the ef- fect of different networks within this mathematical framework. We propose a general mathematical model that incorporates the susceptibility and infectivity of a given machine in a local area network. We also use the concept of pro- portionate mixing to model the spread of information among heterogeneous patches, where each patch coists of use and non-use of an information router. A very interesting idea to model the flow of information is to Get PDF

  • BRL-CAD Tutorial Series: Volume IV – Converting Geometry Between BRL-CAD and Other Formats
  • The purpose of Volume IV is to discuss issues of compatibility and conversion between the BRL-CAD geometry file format and the formats of various other computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) packages. Conversion is increasingly important for BRL-CAD users who must interact with a growing number of Government and commercial organizations involved in the research, development, testing, and evaluation of today’s combat systems. Note that this document addresses BRL-CAD geometry converters, not BRL-CAD image converters (e.g., pix-bw, pix-ps, pix-rle, bw-ps, and pl-ps). For further information on image conversion, see the man page on the utility of interest. Also, because of the many file formats in existence today and the rapidly changing nature of computer software and software companies, it would be impractical to try to address all of the conversion paths and methods that are currently or potentially possible. Many times, conversion from one file format to another is not a one to-one process. Depending on the amount of time and effort the BRL-CAD user is willing to invest, seemingly incompatible formats can Download BRL-CAD Tutorial Series: Volume IV – Converting Geometry Between BRL-CAD and Other Formats

  • The Morrowind Animation Tutorial
  • Welcome, today we will be making this cute little fish come alive. Put the UltimaFish.bmp texture into your Morrowind/Data Files/Textures directory. First make sure that your model has a separate mesh for each body part. Also make sure that none of the body parts have the same name as this will cause major problems. The names are unimportant at the moment so feel free to call them what you like. 1. Position the creature properly. It is to be standing up, and should lie on top of the plane. Select All, and then rotate everything 90 degrees, and then move everything so it sits nicely at the origin. It doesn’t really matter of bits of the creature go underneath the plane. The plane is there to just remind you where the ground in Morrowind will be. 2. The next step is to merge the Root Bone from the file I have provided into your scene. This will give you the necessary Root Bone needed. So go up to File>Merge Select my file Object.max. A merge box will pop up, and highlight Root Bone and click OK. You should now see a yellow diamond at the origin and this is your Root Bone. 2. All good? Great. Now, we are going to use the Bind button and bind parts of the mesh together. Now, remember, one, and only one part of the fish’s body can be bound to the Root Bone. Binding is to make a body part move forward too when another part moves
