  • Objecteering C# Developer
  • Decision-makers in every industry are constantly looking for more and more cost reduction and time-to-market acceleration, and the software and system development industry is no exception to this rule. By taking advantage of the extensive use of both UML and MDA TM (Model-Driven Architecture), technologies standardized by the OMG (Object Management Group), the Objecteering/UML integrated model-driven development environment allows you to make dramatic gains in productivity, quality and application reuse. Manage your C# development using the Model-Driven Development approach Starting from a UML model, the Model-Driven Development approach is used to automate, assist and control application development, by applying the best methodological and technological practices adapted to your business and technical context. This approach, which is natively implemented in Objecteering/UML, provides you with a dedicated integrated tool suite that dramatically increases the productivity and quality of your software application development. Using Objecteering/UML the programming phase is reduced to its essential components: the completion of the UML model with the algorithmic parts of the code and the specification of implementation choices (model annotations). With the UML model, Objecteering/C# Developer can represent every possible C# context, and provides you with a model-editing GUI dedicated to C#. Modeling work is entirely re-used for automated code production and developers no longer have to reformulate it in C#. Code complements are stored in the repository and Objecteering/UML ensures permanent consistency between UML models and C# code. With this approach, you are guaranteed the best quality in the permanent updating of models, code and related documentation. Download pdf Objecteering C#

  • How Web 2.0 can leverage Model Engineering in Practice
  • With the rise of model-driven development, model repositories are intended to facilitate research in model engineering and consequently in domain-specific modeling. Model repositories are central places where all kinds of modeling artifacts (e.g., meta-metamodels, metamodels, models, and possibly transformation models) are stored and coordinated. They can serve as a platform for making available the specification of metamodels to others (typically necessary for domain-specific modeling languages) and for exchanging models, as well as a resource for teaching/learning materials. There have been started some intiatives for building model repositories, e.g., zoomm.org, www.kermeta.org/mrep, or the Atlas MegaModel Management (AM3) [1]. The latter one is hosted within the popular Eclipse environment and is a subproject of the Generative Modeling Technologies (GMT) project. The artifacts present in this model repository, furthermore, are organized into sets of models of similar nature called zoos, e.g. a zoo for metamodels and a zoo for transformations [4]. The AM3 zoos are continuously growing and provide a respectable source of information in the meantime. However, a more popular way of storing and organizing modeling artifacts is probably having a CVS like server software at hand. These repositories provide all means necessary to handle different versions of textual artifacts and let them compare syntactically. It seams therefore obvious to use existing tools also to store models as they can be serialized into the XMI format. Although versioning of models remains an open and challenging research field [11, 12], basic support for versioning models can be provided by CVS. CVS repositories can also be
  • eXtc Web Developer Overview
  • eXtc Web Developer (EWD) is a very high productivity, enterprise-grade platform for developing web applications. It includes an advanced but extremely easy to use Ajax Framework, allowing sophisticated, modern web applications to be built almost as quickly and simply as static web pages. EWD has been designed to be technology-independent, and is potentially capable of working with any web application front-end environment (eg PHP, Java Server Pages, ASP.Net), any scripting language and any database. Background There are numerous technologies for developing web applications, all of which have their pros and cons, and each with their own supporters and detractors. There are mainstream, non-proprietary and/or Open Source technologies such as PHP and Java Server Pages (JSP), and there are proprietary technologies such as .Net. The choice of technology will usually be a result of issues such as performance, cost, available skills, corporate strategy or independent technical advice. Although the end product of these technologies is HTML and JavaScript, the mechanics and methodology needed to program and use these technologies are very different. It is very difficult to change your mind and change technologies once you have committed to one approach. Programming staff will tend to be skilled in the technology you’ve chosen, and changing technologies involves significant retraining and/or re-recruitment of staff. eXtc Web Developer (EWD) completely changes this situation and allows you to develop your web applications in a way that is independent of your web application run-time technology, and allows you to focus on what you are trying to do, rather than
  • Mac OS - Make A Bootable MAC CD using Toast Guide
  • This information was compiled from the Roxio Toast web site, other Mac users, and my own experience. This information is not copyrighted (especially since I have borowed logos and trademarked names) so feel free to share it. Version 1.2 January 30, 2002 I was very frustrated! After creating six “coasters”, I thought there was no way to burn a bootable Mac CD using Toast. I followed their directions, the help I found on the Toast web site was unclear, and I downloaded someone else s instructions and just couldn’t do it. While I’m not a computer expert, I have used Mac’s since (this dates me) 1985 and can probably do better troubleshooting and mechanical work than the geek that charges $75 an hour. So I poked around, put together the pieces of the puzzle and burned a bootable Mac OS CD. While I was doing that, I wrote this to help anyone else who was as frustrated as I was. Yes, it’s lengthy and detailed but if you follow step-by-step you won’t have any “coasters”. If you find any errors or omissions feel free to email me at thofts@mac.com. Thanks! - - Tom PS - Please keep the “stuffed” copy of this in your SHARED FOLDER so others on the network can get to it when I’m offline. –Thanks! • Generic HTML Form Processor: PHP script to save Web-collected data into a MySQL database
  • The customizable PHP script Generic HTML Form Processor is intended to assist researchers and students in quickly setting up surveys and experiments that can be administered via the Web. This script relieves researchers from the burdens of writing new cGi scripts and building databases for each Web study. Generic HTML Form Processor processes any syntactically correct HTML form input and saves it into a dynamically created open-source database. We describe five modes for usage of the script that allow increasing functionality but require increasing levels of knowledge of PHP and Web servers: The first two modes require no previous knowledge, and the fifth requires PHP programming expertise. use of Generic HTML Form Processor is free for academic purposes, and its Web address is www.goeritz.net/brmic. There are other advantages of Web research. On the Web, people can be tested at any time and place, laboratory rooms or physically present experimenters are not necessary (so experimenter effects remain constant), and automated data handling reduces both the labor and error of data coding and entry (Birnbaum & Reips, 2005; Göritz & Schumacher, 2000). In addition, the Web method allows one to collect large samples inexpensively, which makes it possible to draw clear conclusions and to check their generality to different subsamples tested (Birnbaum, 1999; Reips, 2002). An example of an HTML Web form is given in Birnbaum (2000). Such an HTML page can be placed on a server, where the participant can view it and fill in answers by typing in information and clicking on
