  • Axpert The Process Server
  • How is it different from building an application using visual studio for dot net or any visual java development tool? The basic difference is the amount of programming that needs to be done is significantly reduced. Reasonably complex applications ERP, CRM, HMS, HCMS, etc can be built without writing programs in any programming language. However, fundamental database and SQL (select statements) Knowledge is necessary. Storing business processes as data will provide an additional advantage of having tools to bring out process dependencies and flow pictorially. This will increase control on the application and also make it responsive to changes. Coding may be needed only for bridging with other applications or devices. Hence, there will be considerable effort reduction in the overall ALM. How many process structures can there be in a system? There can be any number of process structures in a system. A process structure can also have relationship with many other process structures. Can the process server be deployed on a Linux or Unix server? The current version is available for deployment only under a MS Windows 2003. A Java based process server will be made available by end of March 2009 which can be deployed on any open servers. What kind of skill is required to create an application on a process server? Apart from domain knowledge a good knowledge on database and SQL statements is the basic skill required for building applications on a process server. The know-how on using Axpert stem is also needed. However, the Axpert Stem is a simple GUI driven intuitive
  • Berg List Creator for Metastock
  • This new tool, designed by Jim Berg, has recently been released for Metastock users. Time management is an important part of trading & grouping stocks together in layouts and/or favorites saves time. Many investors want to use the ‘MetaStock Explorer’ to scan specific groups of securities, rather than the entire market. Imagine you’ve just put together a list in an Excel spreadsheet or come across a handy watch-list of ‘hot stocks’ from a broker report, newsletter, magazine, website, or from one of your own scanning searches. What do you do next to view the charts? If you’re like us, we used to go to Metastock and laboriously open each chart in turn and save them to our watch list folders. Problem! Creating lists with more than a few securities is time consuming. Opening a few charts is easy. Do it several times over for a long list of stocks and it becomestediously repetitive and time consuming. Solution! Here’s the good news – there is no more need for you to open up charts one at a time. Download Berg List Creator for Metastock

  • Gsasl Reference Manual 0.2.21 pdf
  • GNU SASL is an implementation of the Simple Authentication and Security Layer framework and a few common SASL mechanisms. SASL is used by network servers (e.g., IMAP, SMTP) to request authentica- tion from clients, and in clients to authenticate against servers. GNU SASL consists of a library (‘libgsasl’), a command line utility (‘gsasl’) to access the library from the shell, and a manual. The library includes support for the framework (with authentication functions and application data privacy and integrity functions) and at least partial support for the CRAM-MD5, EXTERNAL, GSSAPI, ANONYMOUS, PLAIN, SECURID, DIGEST-MD5, LOGIN, and NTLM mechanisms. The library is easily ported because it does not do network communication by itself, but rather leaves it up to the calling application. The library is flexible with regards to the authorization infrastructure used, as it utilize a callback into the application to decide whether a user is authorized or not. GNU SASL is developed for the GNU/Linux system, but runs on over 20 platforms including most major Unix platforms and Windows, and many kind of devices including iPAQ handhelds and S/390 mainframes. GNU SASL is written in pure ANSI C89 to be portable to embedded and otherwise limited platforms. The entire library, with full support for ANONYMOUS, EXTERNAL, PLAIN, LOGIN and CRAM-MD5, and the front-end that support client and server mode, and the IMAP and SMTP protocols, fits in under 60kb on an Intel x86 platform, without any modifications to the code. (This figure was accurate as of version 0.0.13.) The
  • XOSD Guide and Reference Manual
  • XOSD is a system that displays text on top of the other windows, much like the on-screen display (OSD) used by most modern televisions and video-players. In typical open-source style, it was written to scratch an itch. André Renaud had just installed an infa-red sensor in his computer and was using a stereo remote-control to change what track XMMS was playing, but he could not see the track title from across the room. So André sat down and wrote XOSD to display track-names in XMMS. Over time features were added and XOSD became a stand-alone library, rather than just a plug-in for XMMS; eventually, XOSD 1.0 was released. Download XOSD Guide and Reference Manual

  • Oracle Data Provider For .NET 11g
  • One of the great benefits of using Oracle products is their support for multiple programming frameworks. By supporting .NET, Java/J2EE, PHP, and C/C++ applications, all developers can use Oracle’s advanced database features, providing true flexibility for development organizations. Each of Oracle’s data access drivers is designed to maximize performance of its respective framework and to enable access to the latest database features. Within the .NET realm, Oracle offers a multitude of products to develop applications with the Oracle database, including Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET, Oracle Database Extensions for .NET, Oracle Providers for ASP.NET, and Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET). ODP.NET is a native .NET data access provider for Oracle databases. It offers standard ADO.NET data access for .NET Framework 1.x, 2.0, and higher. For developers who have used another ADO.NET provider, basic ODP.NET data access requires very little new to learn. It can be used with existing constructs, such as the Microsoft Data Access Application Blocks (DAAB) for .NET. As such, ADO.NET developers can start using Oracle data sources very quickly. While ODP.NET shares common basic elements with other ADO.NET providers, ODP.NET’s unique value is its tight integration with the Oracle database. ODP.NET exposes many of the database’s unique capabilities, such as Real Application Clusters (RAC) tuning, advanced security, and complex data types, to .NET developers. These features allow .NET middle-tiers to take advantage of the Oracle database’s unique capabilities. This white paper focuses on ODP.NET data access and its unique capabilities, discussing .NET development features that are
  • PHP & MySQL Lab 1
  • What is MySQL? • MySQL is an SQL based relational database management system that runs on more than 20 platforms including Windows, Linux, OS/X, HP-UX and many more. • The owner and producer of MySQL is a Swedish company called MySQL AB. They provide services and training programs for MySQL users. The software’s official website http://www.mysql.com gives the latest information about the company and MySQL. • MySQL is declared the world’s most popular open source database by its founders: “It's used in more than 6 million installations ranging from large corporations to specialized embedded applications on every continent in the world. (Yes, even Antarctica!).” www.mysql.com • The reasons for its popularity are: It is free and open source! Users can download the code for free and modify it according to their needs. Its consistent fast performance. Speed is crucial in database driven applications since the time it takes for the user to see the result of a query is the main performance measure for the application. High reliability. Every release of MySQL is heavily tested by users and developers all over the world since it is free of charge and open source. Ease of use. The main interaction with the MySQL server is through SQL commands which are easy to master! It is supported by PHP (more on this later). • A brief history of the software, its name and its logo from its founders at http://dev.mysql.com: “We started out with the intention of using mSQL to connect to our tables using our own fast low-level (ISAM) routines.
