Installation Instruction BMW Parts and Accessories – Park Distance Control (PDC), front and rear BMW 7 Series (E 38)These installation instructions are only for use within the BMW dealer organisation. The installation time is approx. 5.5 hours but may vary depending on the condition of the car and the equipment in it. Specialist knowledge of BMW cars is required for the installation work. All work is to be completed using the latest BMW
– Repair instructions,
– Circuit diagrams,
– Service manuals,
– Work instructions,
– Diagnostics manuals
In a rational sequence using the prescribed tools (special tools) and pursuant to the relevant health and safety regulations. General notes All work is shown for a left-hand drive model. On right-hand drive models some of the work must be completed the opposite way round. If the specified PIN slots are already in use, bridges, double crimps or parallel end stops are to be used. Deburr drilled holes and treat them with the anti-corrosive action prescribed by BMW. Safety notes To prevent faults, make sure that you use the exact installation routes for the wiring harnesses in the car. Under no circumstances should you use so-called “Scotchlock connectors” since they may cause faults in the vehicle’s electrical system. If you have no alternative but to use these connectors, only the designs approved by BMW may be used. Ensure that the cables are not kinked or damaged when they are installed in the car since otherwise, this too may cause faults which then require a great deal of work for their localisation. The costs incurred as a result of this will not be reimbursed by BMW.

The CPC series uses GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to take the guesswork and effort out of aligning and finding celestial objects in the sky. Simple and easy to use, the CPC with its on-board GPS, is up and running after locating just three celestial objects. It’s so advanced that once you turn it on, the integrated GPS automatically pinpoints your exact coordinates. No need to enter the date, time, longitude and latitude or even know the name of a single star in the sky. If you are new to astronomy, you may wish to start off by using the CPC's built-in Sky Tour feature, which commands the CPC to find the most interesting objects in the sky and automatically slews to each one. Or if you are more experienced, you will appreciate the comprehensive database of over 40,000 objects, including customized lists of all the best deep-sky objects, planets and bright double stars. No matter at what level you are starting out, the CPC will unfold for you and your friends all the wonders of the Universe.
Some of the many standard features of the CPC include:
• Integrated Global Positioning System for easy alignment.
• Fully enclosed optical encoders for position location.
• Ergonomically designed hand controller – built into the side of the fork arm.
• Database filter limits for creating custom object lists.
• Storage for programmable user defined objects; and Many other high performance features!

Get PDFMaya 104: DynamicsDuring this tutorial we’ll explore a number of features of Maya’s dynamics toolset.
In part I - the ‘membrane pore tutorial’ - we’ll create a scene with a turbulent membrane that also has a ‘pore’ dynamically floating in it. Next we’ll create a swarm of molecules that collide with the membrane (and can otherwise only traverse it via the pore opening). We’ll gain finer control over the behavior of individual molecules in the swarm through the use of expressions. Finally, we’ll add goals to the entire swarm and control the degree to which these goals affect the swarm’s movement.
In part II – the ‘blastocyst tutorial’ - we’ll look at how a piece of geometry can serve as a goal for particles. Specifically, we’ll create a blastocyst-stage embryo made up of blobby particles attracted to a sphere. We’ll control the behavior of these particles relative to the surface of the sphere. For the finale, we’ll squeeze the blastocyst out of the zona pellucida surrounding it by using a lattice deformer applied to the sphere.

Click on the AutoCad icon. It will open a blank drawing file and a dialog box called ‘AutoCad Today’. Close the AutoCad Today’ and start working in the drawing file. In AutoCad, you do not have to specify the units of length. It works in relative units. Hence, you can draw with dimensions in any units (m, cm, mm, micron, inch etc.). Just make sure that all your dimensions have been consistently converted in that unit.
For drawing masks in AutoCad you only need to learn 2D sketching. You need not learn 3D modeling. On the left you will find a lot of drawing tools. All these tools can also be accessed from the command prompt. It is essential to use a combination of commands and tool-buttons to make your drawings fast. When you click on a button, the command associated with this button is shown in the command prompt. That’s how you can learn the commands. Command prompt is very important. Always keep an eye on the command prompt.
Most useful drawing tools
I have found the following tools to be the most useful. All these tools are located on the left hand side.
Construction line: These lines are used as reference line.
Polyline: Most of the linear features on your mask will be made with polyline. You can control the width of these lines and thus create features of different width. Width can be specified through the command prompt. Otherwise, the property box of any object can be opened byTop 10 Reasons to Move from AutoCAD to AutoCAD Mechanical 2008When you’re dealing with machinery that contains hundreds or thousands of parts, it could take days, even weeks, to draw them from scratch. AutoCAD Mechanical changes that by providing a comprehensive set of parts and features that you can select for your designs. When content is inserted, AutoCAD Mechanical intelligently cleans up the surrounding geometry so you don’t have to edit it manually. Examples include the following: Manufactured Parts Screws, Nuts, Washers Pins, Rivets, Bushings Plugs, Lubricators, Sealing Rings Bearing and Shaft Components Structural Steel Shapes Through, Tapped, Blind, and Oblong Holes Undercuts, Keyways, and Thread Ends

The simplest definition of RSS is an eXtensible Markup Language(XML) format that uses the Resource Description Framework (RDF) for representing information about resources on the World Wide Web. Similarly, Atom is another format based on XML technology.
You might see buttons like these:
There are a few types of feeds commonly found on web sites RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom. There is quite a bit of debate about which type of xml format is better, but for the purpose of simplicity I will often be referring to feeds as RSS. RSS and Atom feeds are the structures that organize content which is being updated on a regular basis in order for others to retrieve it. This content could be articles, blog posts, photos, PDF documents, PowerPoint Presentations, audio files, video files, or other applications. If the content is the flesh of an orange then a feed would be its skin. The skin keeps the flesh in place so that it is easier to transport.
In 2003, RSS was more commonly associated with weblogs, known as blogs. Blogs and RSS feeds almost seemed to be an isolated cause and effect. Where there was a blog, you would find an RSS feed.
As this visualization shows, RSS feeds can more recently be seen being used for many different purposes. Bloggers created a different type of media, by adding audio and video files as the primary contentVirtools: How to create interactive textures and an orbital cameraThis tutorial shows how to create behaviors for interactive textures: scrolling, blending textures on the faces of a cube. We will work on one face of the cube with its specific material-shader and one texture “mountain.jpg”. Part 4 of this tutorial covers setting up an orbital camera.
Part 1- In Maya, exporting a cube with textures
Before exporting to Virtools, make sure that all faces inside the cube have their normals facing towards the inside of the cube. Go to Modeling, Display > Polygon Components > Normals
Normals are represented with colored lines sticking out of the faces of the cube.
The red arrow shows the way one normal should look like.
The red arrow indicates a normal that needs to be reversed.
Go to Modeling, Edit Polygons > Normals > Reverse
Creating a database Resource folder:
Open Virtools and create a Resource database, go to Resource > create New Data Resource Folder, name of your choice and save in the location of your choice. Virtools automatically creates a Resource.rsc file and a Resource folder which contains several subfolders. The file called Resource.rsc is used to open the database Resource folder in Virtools. This folder is independent from the composition that you will later create in Virtools. It can be used to exchange assets between projects.
