Maya Basics TutorialHere is the basic Maya Interface: Menu Bar Common Menus – Standard File, Edit, Modify Create, Display, Window menus. Stay constant regardless of mode. Module Specific Menus – Vary based on the Maya module in which you’re operating. For example, you’ll have various polygon manipulation menus when in Modeling, and texturing tools when in Rendering. Status Line Module selector – Let’s you change which Maya module you’re using.
We typically use Modeling, Animation, and Rendering. Scene Icons – basic New, Open, and Save icons. Selection Mode – Let’s you specify how you want to select parts of your scene. By object, or By Component type. Selection Masks – Assuming you’re selecting by component type, these buttons allow you to specify the component on which you’d like to focus Snap Modes – Can be helpful in creating uniform layouts. Essentially objects etc… that you create will move to discrete coordinates as defined by a grid. Render Buttons – Shows you what your scene looks like when fully rendered. Show / Hide Editor Buttons – Lets you control what is seen at the screen’s far right

Download pdf SPSS Step by Step Tutorial - Part 2A Memory Model Sensitive Checker for C#Modern mainstream programming languages like Java and C# support multi- threading as an essential feature of the language. In these languages multiple threads can access shared objects. Moreover, synchronization mechanisms exist for controlling access to shared objects by threads. If every access to a shared object by any thread requires prior acquisition of a common lock, then the program is guaranteed to be “properly synchronized”. On the other hand, if there are two accesses to a shared object/variable v by two different threads, at least one of them is a write, and they are not ordered by synchronization — the program is then said to contain a data race, that is, the program is improperly synchronized. Improperly synchronized programs are common for more than one reason — (a) programmers may want to avoid synchronization overheads for low-level program fragments which are executed frequently, (b) programmers may forget to add certain synchronization operations in the program, or (c) programmers forget to maintain a common lock guarding accesses to some shared variable v since there are often many lock variables in a real-life program.
Problem Statement The work in this paper deals with formal verification (and subsequent debugging) of multi-threaded C# programs which are improperly synchronized. As a simple example consider the following schematic program fragment, and suppose initially x = y = 0. Moreover l1, l2 are thread-local variables while x, y are shared variables.
x = 1;
y = 1;
l1 = y;
l2 = x;

As part of the AutoCAD 3D Power Track, you will learn best practices for creating drawings from your 3D models. While notalways required, it is still necessaryto generate drawings for an object to be built. Using the tools and methods presented in this class,you will learn to quickly and efficiently create those drawings.
Two-dimensional drawings are still needed to communicate ideas in industry. While designing in 3D offers significant advantages, designs may still have to be displayed in a 2D format for producing your products.
The following lessons teach you the methods, commands, and options for creating views of your 3D models. These methods include defining views based on orientation of 3D models, planes, and 2D geometry extracted from the 3D models. You also learn to create, edit, and manage layouts, and to combine defining views to create layouts that document your 3D designs.
Section a Solid Model and Generate 2D Geometry
This lesson describes how to graphically remove part of a 3D model and generate 2D geometry from the solid model.
As you create more detailed models, there will be times when you need to view an aspect of a model that is visually obstructed by other parts or features of the model. By using section planes, you can view the information you want in 3D or 2D form. You can also generate 2D cross sections based on the planes you define that can be used toAutoCAD® 2004 Tutorial Second Level: 3D Modeling ManualThe AutoCAD surface modeler defines faceted surfaces using a filled polygon. The created faces of surface models are only planar, which means the surface models can only have approximate curved surfaces. It is important to note that the AutoCAD surface modeler does not create true curved surfaces. To differentiate these two types of surfaces, faceted surfaces are called meshes in AutoCAD. Because of the use of faceted approximation on true curved surfaces, the computer requirements of most faceted surface modelers are typically much less than that of solid modelers.
Faceted surface modeling usually provides reasonably good representations of 3D designs with fast rendering and shading capabilities. Faceted surface models are also useful for creating geometry with unusual surface patterns, such as a 3D topographical model of mountainous terrain.

DownloadChoosing a Powered Wheelchair PDF ManualThe wide range of battery-powered vehicles currently available for the disability market is divided into three main categories: powered wheelchairs, scooters and buggies. The advice in this factsheet covers powered wheelchairs only. For advice on scooters and buggies refer to DLF fact sheet Choosing a scooter or buggy . People tend to think about purchasing a powered wheelchair when they can no longer manage their standard manual wheelchair. First, however, it may be worth considering the range of active user wheelchairs that are available. These are manual wheelchairs that are lightweight and have large propelling wheels on an adjustable axle, so that the position of the wheelchair user within the chair can be adjusted to optimise their propelling and manoeuvring potential.
A wheelchair user who may, previously, have found propelling a standard wheelchair too difficult may find that the reduced effort needed to propel an active user wheelchair is sufficient to regain independent mobility. The relative lightness of these wheelchairs, especially over powered wheelchairs, is an advantage if the chair has to be lifted and transported in and out of a car boot. For further details on active user wheelchairs refer to DLF factsheet Choosing an active user wheelchair . Highway regulations group powered vehicles into two categories: Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles: ” Class 2 vehicles can travel up to 6.
