  • Setting up Microsoft Outlook to reject unsolicited email
  • Information Services has deployed a system using ‘SpamAssassin’ software which can help you manage the unsolicited email you receive. SpamAssassin examines every mail message entering the system and assigns it a score based on the similarity of its content to typical unsolicited or spam messages. If this score exceeds 5, the message is tagged ‘{Spam?}’ before it is delivered to you. It is possible to set up rules within Outlook® to automatically move such messages to a folder which could be checked from time to time. In theory it would be possible to move all such mail automatically to the deleted mail folder; this is not advisable, however, as mail may occasionally be scored incorrectly, leading to the deletion of normal mail. Information Services recommends that you make at least a quick check of the message sender and subject prior to deletion, even for messages marked ‘{Spam?}’. If you want to move messages to a new folder, it is easier to create this before beginning the following steps Download pdf Setting up Microsoft Outlook to reject unsolicited email

  • Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Restoration & Retouching Tutorials
  • 1. What is the Patch Tool 1.) The Patch tool lets you repair a selected area with pixels from another area or a pattern. 2.) Like the Healing Brush tool, the Patch tool matches the texture, luminosity, and color of the sampled pixels to the source pixels. 3.) When repairing with pixels from the image, select a small area to produce the best result. 2. How to Use the Patch Tool … the Cliff Notes version … followed by step-by-step tutorials. 1.) In a nutshell – you make a selection with the Patch tool or any selection tool, drag the selected area with the Patch tool, and upon releasing the mouse the healing technology will make the repair. 2.) The most important decision to make before using the Patch tool is whether to patch from source, from destination or from pattern. Before using the Patch tool take a moment to evaluate the image and image damage to decide which of the three options to use. • Patching from Source = circle the damaged area and move the selection to good image information. Use this choice when the damaged area is uneven, ragged, and/or within similarly toned areas. • Patching from Destination = circle good image information and move the selection over the damaged image area. Use this choice when you need to match a pattern or lines in the image. • Patching from Pattern = the least used option – yet very useful method to quickly repair damage that is spread throughout the image. To use this method you

Through this book, we will provide you with the basics on using Search Engine Optimization in order to improve traffic flow to your site. By many people, SEO is considered to be a part of search engine marketing. It is often used when people are describing a process for improving the amount of traffic that goes to a website from various different search engines. Many site owners will engage in using SEO in an attempt to obtain qualified visitors to their site. The quality of these visitors will often be measured by what specific keywords they are using in order to reach the desired result they want, such as making a purchase, or it could just viewing or downloading a particular page on that site. • Network Coding for Large Scale Content Distribution
  • Typical content distribution solutions are based on placing dedicated equipment inside or at the edge of the Internet. The best example of such solutions is Akamai [1], which runs several tens of thousands of servers all over the world. In recent years, a new paradigm for Content Distribution has emerged based on a fully distributed architecture where commodity PCs are used to form a cooperative network and share their resources (storage, CPU, bandwidth). Cooperative content distribution solutions are inherently self scalable, in that the bandwidth capacity of the system increases as more nodes arrive: each new node requests service from, and, at the same time, provides service to other nodes. Because each new node contributes resources, the capacity of the system grows as the demand increases, resulting in limitless system scalability. With cooperation, the source of the file, i.e. the server, does not need to increase its resources to accommodate the larger user population; this, also, provides resilience This work was done while the first author was with Microsoft research. to “flash crowds”— a huge and sudden surge of traffic that usually leads to the collapse of the affected server. Therefore, end-system cooperative solutions can be used to efficiently and quickly deliver software updates, critical patches, videos, and other large files to a very large number of users while keeping the cost at the original server low. The best example of an end-system cooperative architecture is the BitTorrent system, which became extremely popular as a way of delivering the Linux distributions and other
  • Classroom Suite Access QuickStart
  • Classroom Suite is accessible to keyboard, mouse, IntelliKeys, and switch users. IntelliKeys IntelliKeys is IntelliTools’ award-winning adaptive keyboard that connects to Windows or Macintosh computers. The original IntelliKeys was created in 1991. IntelliKeys USB was introduced a decade later. Both IntelliKeys models (Classic and USB) offer a range of access settings to meet the needs of people with various disabilities. Access settings can be customized for individual students. IntelliKeys is most powerful and versatile when used with IntelliKeys overlays. IntelliKeys Overlays The IntelliKeys keyboard works in conjunction with interchangeable IntelliKeys overlays. An overlay is a printed sheet of paper or plastic that is placed over the touch sensitive, front panel of the IntelliKeys. Each overlay has a keyboard layout printed on it that may correspond to an on-screen document. Simply insert the appropriate overlay and begin working. Pressing a printed key on the overlay sends the desired information to your computer. Using overlays, a student can type letters, enter numbers, navigate on-screen displays, or execute menu commands. A teacher can also customize IntelliKeys access settings for a student using the IntelliKeys USB Control Panel or Setup Overlay. IntelliKeys for Switch Users IntelliKeys has two built-in, programmable switch ports allowing the IntelliKeys to be used as a switch interface. Many commonly used switches can be plugged into these jacks. In addition, the keyboard itself can behave as a two-key keyboard, thus replicating the actions of two switches. One switch area (one key) covers the entire left side of the IntelliKeys touch-sensitive surface, while a second switch area
