Sample Java Application – Personal Lending Library
This is a small sample application to track our personal library of books. It includes a list of people to whom we loan our books. The application has four Java classes:
1. Person has fields for the person's name and a number which will be the maximum number of books this person can borrow at one time.
2. Book has fields for title, author, and the person who is currently borrowing the book.
3. MyLibrary contains a list of all of our books and a list of all of the people who might borrow
them. It includes methods for checking books out to people and checking them back in. It also includes a main() method that simulates a user session. In the main() method, a new MyLibrary is created, books and people are created and added to it, and some books are checked out and check in. At various points, information about the MyLibrary object is printed to the system console.

Unlike other games that tried this proven recipe, Scarface really managed to make itself noticed. Some might say that the gameplay is way too similar but in fact, it’s just extremely well implemented. Overall, it’s a great game that should be played just for the chance of experiencing the life of Tony Montana! Cheat mode: Pause game play, then enter one of the following codes at the “Cheats” screen. Mission cheats are unlocked after playing a mission. Saving the game is disabled while cheat codes are active.

The system uses video edge detection to reduce operator error by removing judgment inconsistencies. Resolution depends on magnification of objective and type of detection selected. Minimum resolution is 100 nm for 100x objective and video edge detection.
Video Edge detection
– Detects edges from distinct variations in field intensity
– Must have objective selection on the screen the same as the objective in use.
Probes
• Singly ‘fired’ by pressing the center scroll button on the mouse.
• Continuously fired by selecting ‘continuous fire’ on menu created by right clicking over video view.
To acquire points:
1. Select a feature measurement (on upper center menu) or use Measure Magic
2. Select a probe
a. One of those listed above, or
b. New probe can be used by selecting a point or multiple points depending on if measuring a point, line, or arc/circle (1, 2, or 3 points, respectively). The last point selected should be ‘dragged’ across the edge by the mouse to create the proper probe.
3. Position the probe over the video image
4. Size the probe
5. Select direction of scan (light to dark, dark to light, or first edge)
6. Click the center mouse button to fire

The Eclipse Platform is written in the Java language and comes with extensive plug-in construction toolkits and examples. It has already been deployed on a range of development workstations including Linux, HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, QNX, Mac OS X and Windows based systems. -www.eclipse.org Eclipse is a free, open source, platform-independent software framework. This framework has been used to develop an IDE for Java.
Download and Installation Eclipse can be downloaded from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads. This link automatically detects your OS and provides the latest release of Eclipse for your platform (You can also browse other builds by clicking on ‘All Versions’). Choose a mirror and save the zip file. Eclipse comes as a zipped dump rather than an installation. All you need to do is just unzip it to a preferred location and you can start using it. If you are using Linux, you need to append this location to you path. You can add this line below to .bashrc file in your home to open Eclipse from shell.
Download Eclipse Tutorial ManualLinux Man Page HowtoWhy do we write documentation? Silly question. Because we want others to be able to use our program, library function or whatever we have written and made available. But writing documentation is not all there is to it: Documentation must be accessible. If it's hidden in some non?standard place where the documentation?related tools won't find it ?? how can it serve its purpose?
• Documentation must be reliable and accurate. There's nothing more annoying than having program behaviour and documentation disagree. Users will curse you, send you hate mail and throw your work into the bit bucket, with the firm intent to never install anything written by that jerk again.
• The historical and well known way documentation is accessed on UNIX is via the man(1) command. This HOWTO describes what you have to do to write a man page that will be correctly processed by the documentation? related tools. The most important of these tools are man(1), xman(1x), apropos(1), makewhatis(8) and catman(8). Reliability and accuracy of the information are, of course, up to you. But even in this respect you will find some ideas below that help you avoid some common glitches.
How are man pages accessed?
You need to know the precise mechanism for acccessing man pages in order to give your man page the right name and install it in the right place. Each man page should be categorized in a specific section, denoted by a single character. The most common sections under Linux, and their human readable names, are:

The following lists the key-commands necessary to activate/re-activate the laptop s built-in monitor, or external monitor port for projection. The keys act as a toggle switch, repeat the commands until the desired display combination is achieved. Wait 5 seconds for the command to take effect. The laptop resolution must be set in order to match the display resolution (usually 1024 x 768) of the projector being used.

The modems can operate in 2-wire, full-duplex, asynchronous modes at line rates up to 33.6 Kbps and can perform complete handshake and data rate negotiations. Tone and pattern detection functions required by the applicable ITU or Bell standards are supported and dialling, call progress, and the telephone line interface are supported and controlled through the AT command set.
The modem connects to the DTE (Data Terminal Equipment, such as a PC, industrial controller or telemetry outstation) via a serial interface (EIA RS232). The module has 2 interface ports: Serial interface, RS 232 (9 pole sub-D) with hardware handshake control lines - and the telephone line interface. (6 pole RJ11 modular jack). The built-in power supply for 12-48VDC, is provided with galvanic isolation. The modems are made in industrial 108mm wide aluminium housing for DIN rail mounting.

The basic component types are:
•OPI
Operator Interface. A UNIX- or NT-based workstation or PC which can run various EPICS tools—the “clients.”
•IOC
Input Output Controller. A VME/VXI-based chassis containing a Motorola 68K or PPC processor with various VME I/O modules for analog and digital signals, and for access to field buses such as Allen-Bradley, GPIB, CANbus or CAMAC.
•LAN
TCP/IP-based Local Area Network. A communication network which connects the IOCs and OPIs. EPICS provides a software com- ponent, Channel Access, which provides network transparent commu- nication between every client—such as OPI—and an arbitrary number of servers—such as IOC.
EPICS Attributes
•Tool Based
EPICS provides a number of tools both for creating and also for
operating a control system. This minimizes the need for custom
coding and helps ensure uniform operator interfaces.
•Distributed
An arbitrary number of IOCs and OPIs can be supported. If a single IOC becomes saturated, its functions may be spread over several IOCs.
•Event Driven Network loading and message latency are simultaneously minimized by allowing only changes to a datum to be sent by servers to clients (“reporting by exception”).
•Customization Users may add new components to support their applications; they are configured using simple ascii tables.
•Scalable
Systems from a few to 100,000 “channels” supported.
•Modular
Distinct “software buses” at several layers allow good decoupling between clients and servers, across versions, and mixed hardware.
•Platforms
Runs on most Unix workstations, VMS, Windows NT.
