The installed version of AutoCAD is AutoCAD Map v3 which is AutoCAD release 14 with added spatial (or GIS) functionality. It can be started by doing Start PWF Programs and Information Graphics and Presentation AutoCAD Map
Please note that AutoCAD can be made to do things by choosing tools or tasks from the menus, or issuing commands on the AutoCAD commandline. This document will use the command line wherever possible because the menus may change between versions of AutoCAD. In addition, clones of AutoCAD will look and feel different, but often implement the same commands.

The Query API described in the first part of this document was introduced with Google Desktop 3. We cover how to use it with both native plug-ins and script-based plug-ins, and assume that you are familiar with the general principles of how to write Desktop plug-ins. The latter part of this document describes methods for issuing Desktop search queries using HTTP and XML. This XML-based API is supported by both the Windows and Mac OS X versions of Google Desktop. Mac OS X support was added in Google Desktop Mac 1.0.3.

Facebook Open Platform (fbOpen) is a snapshot of the infrastructure that runs Facebook Platform. It includes the API infrastructure, the FQL parser, the FBML parser, and FBJS, as well as implementations of many common methods and tags. We’ve included samples and some dummy data to help you get started fast. Facebook Open Platform also has extensibility points built in so you can add your own functionality, such as your own FBML tags, API methods, and so forth.

A number of articles and white papers have been written on this topic. Before the days of Google and Web 2.0 there was little attention paid to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO refers to “optimizing” web sites to rank very high in the results of search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. SEO helps structure your website content so it is easily found and indexed by search engines. In the early days of the Internet Era you could get your site listed on Yahoo or Altavista by merely submitting it. As long as it wasn’t too complicated for search engines to understand your site, you could get it listed within 2 to 3 days. But Yahoo and Altavista couldn’t keep up with the flood of URL submissions. As web evolved, companies began to embrace the online medium and the potential for using it as a marketing tool.

Web 2.0 marks a new philosophy where user is the main actor and content producer: users write blogs and comments, they tag, link, and upload photos, pictures, videos, and pod- casts. As a step further, Mobile 2.0 adapts Web 2.0 technol- ogy to mobile users. We intend to study how Web 2.0 and Mobile 2.0 together can be applied to the cultural heritage sector. A number of cultural institutions and museums are introducing in their projects some Web 2.0 applications, but the main knowledge source remains a small group of a few experts.

VOLT is a free tool available from www.microsoft.com/typography. It is mainly designed to add OpenType features to a font but can also be used to add characters in the supplementary planes, which some font editors cannot yet do. This article focuses on adding the characters beyond the BMP. Unfortunately, VOLT is not available for any platform other than Windows.
