  • How to Use Error Messages: Use the error codes displayed on the screen to diagnose failures. If more than one error code is displayed, begin the diagnosis with the first error code. The cause of the first error code can result in false error codes being displayed. If no error code is displayed, see if the error symptom is listed in the Symptom-to-FRU Index for the computer you are servicing. • Design Compiler Reference Manual: Optimization and Timing Analysis
  • Pipelining is a technique commonly used to increase the throughput of designs that have deep levels of logic to meet high sampling rate requirements. The pipelining technique partitions blocks of combinational logic into n stages of equal delays, with the stages separated by banks of pipeline registers. Register balancing improves the performance of the pipeline design, by moving the registers through combinational logic, adding additional registers as needed, to reduce the clock period. In this chapter, you will learn about the following: • Basic Concepts • Considering Input and Output Delays • Handling Designs Having Hierarchy • Enabling Register Balancing • Inserting Pipeline Registers in a Design • Hints and Restrictions • Resetting Flip-Flops • Replacing Flip-Flops This chapter includes example methods of inserting the pipeline registers in a design through HDL and a script to convert simple flip-flops to asynchronously reset flip-flops. • Matching Schemas in Online Communities: A Web 2.0 Approach
  • When integrating data from multiple sources, a key task that online communities often face is to match the schemas of the data sources. Today, such matching often incurs a huge workload that overwhelms the relatively small set of volunteer integrators. In such cases, community members may not even volunteer to be integrators, due to the high workload, and consequently no integration systems can be built. To address this problem, we propose to enlist the multitude of users in the community to help match the schemas, in a Web 2.0 fashion. We discuss the challenges of this approach and provide initial solutions. Finally, we describe an extensive set of experiments on both real-world and synthetic data that demonstrate the utility of the approach. The World-Wide Web is teeming with communities, such as those of movie fans, database researchers, bioinformatists, intelligence analysts, and so on. As such communities proliferate, research on their data management challenges has attracted increasing attention. A key challenge is to integrate data from multiple community-related sources. For example, the community of real estate agents in the Great Lakes region may want to build a system that integrates all real-estate sources in that area. As another example, the database community may want to integrate all information about publications, from DBLP, Google Scholar, and researchers’ homepages, among others. Today, integrating such data within a community is largely shouldered by a relatively small set of volunteers, henceforth called builders. To integrate the data, a key task that builders often face is to establish

  • MYSQL BASICS
  • WHAT IS A MySQL DATABASE ? A MySQL database is just a useful way to store and order a lot of information. “Databases are most useful when it comes to storing information that fits into logical categories. For example, say that you wanted to store information of all the employees in a company. With a database you can group different parts of your business into separate tables to help store your information logically. Example tables might be: Employees, Supervisors, and Customers. Each table would then contain columns specific to these three areas.” Utilizing a MySQL Database with PHP adds functionality that will let us create Web Applications, such as BLOGS and Social Networking Sites ( re: Facebook, Myspace etc) . Think of a site with a lot of searchable information such as CNN, The NYTIMES or PITCH- FORKMEDIA. Guaranteed they all use some form of Database structure. FIRST STEP - CREATING DATABASE & TABLES Go to your start Menu and look for ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > COMMAND PROMPT. You will get a little black window like this: Here is where we will type our commands to create the database etc Download pdf for MYSQL BASICS
