This tutorial assumes that you already have MySQL and the DBManager installed onto your Virtual Server. In this tutorial we will create a very simple and small database using the GUI interface the DBManager provides.
Provisioning of Reseller DBManager and End User DBManager
If you want to have DBManager on your server, you must understand how AIT provisions this service. You must either have the Reseller DBManager, which is specifically for Server 2 accounts and above so that you can resell this offering to your customers, or the End User DBManager, which is specifically for Server 1 accounts. This feature can not be resold, since Server 1’s do not have virtual hosts.
Accessing DBManager
First, access your DBManager in the following manner: http://domain.com/dbmanager/
Of course, you would replace the domain.com with your virtual server domain name, and your username and password would be the same as your control panel. For resellers who provision the DBManager for virtual hosts, we will cover how to access and password protect it later in this tutorial. Once you are inside of your DBManager, you should see a screen such as this one:

VisualSVN allows you to take full control on any changes in the project that are made by you or your colleagues. With VisualSVN you can easily see the full history of modifications and restore previous versions of your project. So, you can treat it as a “smart time machine”.
VisualSVN is built on the base of the Subversion open source version control system that is a de-facto standard storage system for software projects. There are a lot of tools and services available for Subversion such as code review systems and hosting providers. With VisualSVN you can use these tools and services without limitations.
What is Subversion?
Subversion is a centralized multiuser version control system. Project files and full history of modifications are stored in a repository. The repository can be located both on a server, and on a local computer.
Each developer has his own copy of the project on the local computer, which is called the working copy. You can freely make any changes in your working copy, such as modifying files, adding new files, renaming files and folders and so on. And you don't even need a permanent connection to the repository. For example, you can work on your laptop on a plane. When a logical bundle of modifications is ready, you can upload it to the repository as a single atomic commit. Subversion automatically prevents overwrites of modifications that are made by another developer.Web 2.0 Security and PrivacyWeb 2.0 – user-generated content, rich user interfaces and co-operative, dynamic services – has also brought with it a new and extremely virulent breed of ‘Malware 2.0’. A key motivation for this study is the link between Web 2.0 and the increase in ‘drive-by’ malware infections requiring no intervention or awareness on the part of the user. To give some idea of the threat posed, a Scansafe report analysing malware trends reports that risks from compromised websites increased 407% in the year to May 2008.
One of the most important sources of vulnerabilities in Web 2.0 is the inadequacy of access and authorisation frameworks used in Web 2.0 environments. In particular, this report highlights problems in policy frameworks governing the separation of control between web applications. These centre on the ‘same-origin’ policy, which sandboxes web applications coming from different domains, and the cases where this policy is either deliberately relaxed or circumvented for malicious purposes. Problems in access and authorisation frameworks often stem from the difficulty in finding a balance between allowing enough freedom for Web 2.0 applications to function and providing adequate security.
Web 2.0 has also brought a sea-change in the way knowledge and information is managed. One page contains content and even executable code from multiple sources including end-users, and information may be syndicated (eg, using RSS) and altered many times from its original source.
This means in particular that:
• The increased opportunities for contributing content also provide more opportunities to inject malicious code leading to many vulnerabilities in thePerformance Modeling for Dynamic Algorithm SelectionAdaptive algorithms are an important technique to achieve portable high performance. They choose among solution methods and optimizations according to expected performance on a particular machine. Grid environments make the adaptation problem harder, because the optimal decision may change across runs and even during runtime. Therefore, the performance model used by an adaptive algorithm must be able to change decisions without high overhead. In this paper, we present work that is modifying previous research into rapid performance modeling to support adaptive grid applications through sampling and high granularity modeling. We also outline preliminary results that show the ability to predict differences in performance among algorithms in the same program.
Grid environments [1] present novel performance challenges, adding variability to many characteristics of high performance code. Heterogeneous platforms and varying network performance mean that the best algorithm for an application may change between runs of an application, and even during execution.
Adaptive algorithms, developed to support portable performance in libraries, present an excellent opportunity to deal with these challenges by switching algorithms based on runtime information. To choose the optimal algorithm, a performance prediction must be made based on this information and the performance characteristics of the candidate algorithms. Because it is important to keep the combined overhead of measurement, modeling, prediction, and adaptation low, current time-consuming modeling techniques are not suitable for grid environments. We propose using a combination of ongoing research into rapid performance modeling and new development of a general adaptive algorithm framework to support exploration of portable performance onVPN Configuration Guide D-Link DFL-200 PDFThis document describes how VPN Tracker can be used to establish a connection between a Macintosh running Mac OS X and a D-Link DFL-200 router. The D-Link gateway is configured as a router connecting a company LAN to the Internet. This paper is only a supplement to, not a replacement for, the instructions that have been included with your D-Link DFL-200. Please be sure to read those instructions and understand them before starting.
The latest release for your D-Link firewall can be obtained from http://www.d-link.com/ For this document, firmware version 1.34.00 has been used. Please note: VPN Tracker has been only been tested with the D-Link DFL-200 and the above firmware version. You will need one VPN Tracker Personal Edition license for each Mac connecting to the DFL-200. We recommend one VPN Tracker Professional Edition for the administrator s Mac in order to export configuration files to the clients. VPN Tracker is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.2.5+, 10.3 and 10.4.1+

out there on the Internet who want to set up an A/UX web server, then this guide is for you. To make things simpler, this document follows a few standard conventions. Text in Courier is reserved for terminal sessions. This provides a sample walkthrough of commands to type and their usual responses. For example: A larger courier font is used to denote relevant commands mid-sentence, such as newconfig, in order to separate the command from the rest of the text. File and path names, such as /etc/inittab, are in bold. Individual references to filenames without paths like inittab aren’t.
Note:
The famous Mac Bomb symbol is used to denote a tip or note. Small notes like these provide hints and tips as well as insight drawn from bitter experience.
Make sure you read them!
One small point; there are many instances where command lines are preceded by either a # or $ symbol. The # refers to the root user and the $ symbol refers to a regular user. In either case, don’t type the symbol. To make matters even more confusing, most of the configuration files used in this guide use leading # symbols to define comments. It’s confusing but it’s the UNIX convention, not ours. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.
