When walking or running, the character should stay at a constant height from the FloorRef object. When jumping, the Character should increase it’s distance from the FloorRef object to give the appearance of translation away from the floor. Characters should ALSO have a “stationary root” that only moves relative to the floor reference (e.g. for walking, jumping etc.) but that does not move constantly (i.e. in an idle animation the root should not move). This is very important if you wish to use your Characters with the Virtools Mulituser Pack, or the dead reckoning algorithm used for predicting distributed objects will not work correctly.
In short: Make sure the (stationary) root element does not move at all when the character is in its default (’wait’ or ‘idle’) animation. For other animations make sure the root moves a minimum; in a walk animation along the Z axis for example, make sure that the root moves along the Z axis only - there should be no movement on the X or Y axes. Note: Ensure the animations you create are ‘real’ in the sense that the Character actually performs them and does not ‘pretend’ to perform them - e.g. for a walk animation you should ensure that your character actually moves (translates) in your modeling application, and does not perform the animation in situ (”on the spot” or “in place”).

As RFID has faced obstacles during the implementation, it has not been used widely and to its maximum capability as further development and improvement is still possible. This issue will be thoroughly discussed in this thesis.
This project has a main goal to discover the obstacles for RFID to be implemented widely. The results obtained from this project would show what kind of obstacles that are encountered by RFID and therefore would be foundation for further improvements. Furthermore, the result obtained from this project will assist in the direction of further development that should be made so RFID could be implemented widely to its maximum capability.
After this project is undertaken, various projects related to further development of RFID could be performed. One example of the project that can be done for RFID development is how to increase the performance of RFID. Another project that can be taken is to store data of groceries expired date in the RFID, and build a hardware that have monitor to be embedded in the refrigerator where the expiry date can be monitored using that hardware.

JADE (Java Agent Development Framework) is a software development framework aimed at developing multi-agent systems and applications conforming to FIPA standards for intelligent agents. It includes two main products: a FIPA-compliant agent platform and a package to develop Java agents. JADE has been fully coded in Java and an agent programmer, in order to exploit the framework, should code his/her agents in Java, following the implementation guidelines described in this programmer’s guide.
This guide supposes the reader to be familiar with the FIPA standards1, at least with the Agent Management specifications (FIPA no. 23), the Agent Communication Language, and the ACL Message Structure (FIPA no. 61). JADE is written in Java language and is made of various Java packages, giving application programmers both ready-made pieces of functionality and abstract interfaces for custom, application dependent tasks.
