IMS, SDP and Web 2.0 : Where are the services ?This paper presents the results of a study on the leverage of web 2.0 technology and open business models to expand service providers’ IMS and SDP (Service Delivery Platform) and offer new services and service composition capabilities for existing business partners such as MVNO, ISV, ASPs but also sophisticated end users, so called “prosumers”. We have collected the requirements from different users and customers which were all converging to an expansion of existing environment to offer a much more ‘internet’ like service offering : simple APIs, mix of content and communication capabilities, graphical composition tools, open portal, widgets, developer communities, easy to share, try and comment set of services, etc. Based on that, we did an evaluation of different tools and technology and defined an architecture that could meet these expectations while leveraging existing IMS-SDP environments and built a proof of concept.

After you have done that, you will be left with this. Now the first step in removing the caliper is to take off the spring on the front side. You do it using some pliers. The Globus system is intended to achieve a vertically integrated treatment of application, middleware, and network. A low level toolkit provides basic mechanisms such as communication, authentication, network information, and data access. These mechanisms are used to construct various higher-level metacomputing services, such as parallel programming tools and schedulers. Our long-term goal is to build an Adaptive Wide Area Resource Environment (AWARE), an integrated set of higher-level services that enable applications to adapt to heterogeneous and dynamically changing meta- computing environments. In part II – the ‘blastocyst tutorial’ - we’ll look at how a piece of geometry can serve as a goal for particles. Specifically, we’ll create a blastocyst-stage embryo made up of blobby particles attracted to a sphere. We’ll control the behavior of these particles relative to the surface of the sphere. For the finale, we’ll squeeze the blastocyst out of the zona pellucida surrounding it by using a lattice deformer applied to the sphere.

It was written by Ethan Townsend as a documented means of migrating our ADO ASP application, SIB (Siteinabox), from Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 to an open source database. SIB is a large database driven application that includes many views, stored procedures, and complex SQL executed from the ASP pages.
The primary goals were to:
1) Modify the application so that it could seamlessly switch between the existing SQL Server database and the new open source database.
2) Have the ability to offload existing databases from SQL Server to the new database server.
3) Make no modifications to the existing, working SQL Server.
4) Maximize easeofuse, stability, performance, and security.
The following open source database servers were installed and analyzed to determine their feasibility in replacing SQL Server:
