  • Effect of pH on Hair Resilience Manual
  • There are three components to this lesson, outlined below. Complete the activities in order to answer the central question of this lesson: “How does understanding the chemistry of hair care, including the role of pH, help in the development of better hair care products?” Part I: Determining the pH of shampoo samples Using the shampoo samples given to you by your teacher, determine the pH of each of the samples. You can determine pH by using a method familiar to you, such as using pH strips or probes. Record the pH of your shampoo samples below: Shampoo name pHPart II: Treating hair samples in solutions of varying pH Complete the following activity in your lab group and answer the questions that follow. Procedure: 1. Obtain 4 wooden splints; 4 test dishes; 20 strands of the same type of hair; and 4 strips of tape. 2. Clean the 4 dishes in pH neutral solution and rinse thoroughly with distilled water. (Be sure to clean all glassware after each use so that the samples are not contaminated.) 3. Label the test dishes pH 2.0, pH 6.0, pH 10.0, and pH 12.0. Add 10 mL of the appropriate pH solution to each of the dishes. 4. Tape 5 strands of hair to each splint with one end fastened, and the other end free to be immersed in the test solutions. Label the ends of each splint with pH 2.0, pH 6.0, pH 10.0, and pH 12.0. 5. Put each splint into the corresponding solution. Allow the hair to be exposed for 10

  • 3Ds Max Tutorial: Create Table Lamp
  • We are going to create a table lamp with lines and lathe in 3ds max. Go to Create>Shapes>Line. 1 In the Splines rollout set Initial Type to smooth and Drag type to bezier. In the left viewport draw a line similar to below. Go to Modifiers>Patch/Spline Modeling>Lathe. Don’t worry if you’re lamp base looks similar to below. In the Modifiers rollout click the plus sign next to Lathe and then click on Axis. Move the axis until you get a nice shape. You may have to turn on Flip Normals. In the Modifier List set the Segments to 32. Once you have the segments set you object will change in appearance a slight amount. What that does is add segments which smooth your object. Compare the difference between the top and bottom images below. Download PDF for 3Ds Max Tutorial: Create Table Lamp
  • Towards C# program verification: C#-kernel and its axiomatic semantics
  • Verification of programs presented in widely-used object-oriented programming languages, such as C++, C#, Java, is a subject of much current interest. The well-known approach to program verification is based on Hoare-like axiomatic semantics. Difficulties of developing compact and transparent axiomatic semantics of object-oriented programming languages are connected with such constructs as overloading, dynamic binding of methods, exception handling, static initialization of classes. Axiomatic semantics has been proposed for different sequential subsets of Java in [3, 4, 7–10]. While compact and transparent axiomatic semantics has been developed for separate difficult Java constructs, it turned out to be cumbersome and inconvenient for the practical use in the case of a wide sequential Java subset. In this paper we consider a wide sequential C# subset called C#-light. C#-light programs include all sequential C# constructs except for attributes, destructors, using statements, checked and unchecked constructs and unsafe code constructs. To simplify C#-light program verification, C#-light is translated into an intermediate language C#-kernel, for which a Hoare-like axiomatic semantics is proposed. Unlike standard axiomatic semantics, our forward rules can generate lazy verification conditions which include functional symbols denoting postponed extractions of invariants of labelled statements as well as postponed invocations of methods and delegates. These functional symbols are eliminated by refinement algorithms. Download pdf Towards C# program verification: C#-kernel and its axiomatic semantics

  • Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive Games Cheats Hints & Trainer PC pdf
  • Wanted Dead or Alive proved to be a captivating stealth-based strategy. The Wild West was always a most attractive subject. Cowboys, duels, pistols, dynamite, gold rush, beautiful ladies and tequila – the game had it all. It also kept the players happy by introducing 6 unique characters with very special abilities that matched marvelously their personalities. The hot shot (John) Cooper was a real charmer – a genuine James Bond of the Wild West. Sam (Williams) is the runaway cotton plantation slave that proves to be much more useful at other tasks… such as blowing things up and heavy artillery. Doc (McCoy) is the physician of the party and the elite sniper behind the bush. Kate (O’Hara) is of course the beauty of the group, but her charms are… lethal. She’s the best to use in case you want to set up a trap for any unfortunate man that lays eyes on her. (Pablo) Sanchez would probably have to be the beast in this party. His strength is no match for anyone. He loves his custom made bottle of tequila, taking naps and swirling his big bat at enemies. Mia (Yung) is the tricky Chinese girl that joins the gang in the middle of the action. That blowpipe of hers does a wonderful job of knocking nearby enemies down and the monkey… oh, the monkey is priceless if you want to get someone’s attention. Now, this is a great strategy game. You have it all – use tricks, use the terrain,

  • Apple Remote Access modem script basics
  • A modem script is a set of instructions that tells a computer how to interact with a modem so that calls can be initiated and received. To establish a connection, a script typically configures and then connects the modem. To terminate a connection, the script disconnects the modem by hanging up and then restores the modem settings that were in effect before the call. Each type of modem used with Apple Remote Access requires a modem script. Many scripts are provided with Apple Remote Access (see “Available Modem Scripts” in the Preface of this book for more information). If no script is provided for your modem, you must write one using Communication Command Language (CCL), a programming language that configures and controls your modem. This chapter describes the basic elements and structure of a CCL file. The following sections describe CCL script conventions for m instructions m comments m capitalization m labels m script resources m string formats m variable strings (varStrings) m match strings m script size Instructions Each line of CCL code consists of one instruction that is made up of a command and its parameters, if any. Modem commands are used as parameters of CCL commands. For example, the command write "ATDT^113" includes the following: write a CCL command ATDT a modem command ^113 a modem command parameter This command tells the CCL interpreter to send to the modem the modem command ATDT followed by variable string 1, and a carriage return (ASCII code 13). The CCL interpreter reads scripts from left to right and from top to bottom. It reads straight through, from beginning to end, unless you
  • Tutorial 3Ds Max: 3D Seated People
  • How to integrate image-based models into geometric scenes What it’s all about ArchVision’s 3D Seated People Collection provides visualization professionals with another important way to add rich detail to their scenes. With image-data available from every point around the Z-axis, this collection maintains the illusion of 3D without the processing overhead required with geometric solutions. This assorted collection of 30 casually and professionally dressed people will help bring scenes from offices to theaters to life like never before. What to watch for: Because RPCs are composed of 2D images, there are some issues to be aware of when using this collection. Placement of the RPC relative to the seating surface geometry is especially important so as to maintain the illusion of 3D without the RPC to appear like it’s “floating” above the seat surface. Also, the image-data for each RPC was collected with a standard seat height. We have sizedthe RPCs to maintain consistency between them. However, for your specific needs, you may need to resize the content to create the desired effect. Download this PDF for Tutorial 3Ds Max: 3D Seated People
