23 January 2007 By: Bogdan Solca, Hardware Editor Intel CPU Overclocked at 8GHz! Extreme overclocking techniques from Italy OC Team Italy announced that it managed to unpack a Pentium 4 631 CPU and overclock it to a whooping 7520 Mhz, back on January 10th 2007. This risky procedure required some liquid nitrogen cooling, as well as a non-modified ASUS P5B motherboard. The Italia pointed out that the motherboard made it clear that it cannot go above this core frequency. The guys got impressive feedback from the overclocke' community and thought they could break the 8GHz barrier. Thus, they have once again mounted the copper cooling pipe, tuned up the necessary voltage settings and poured a fresh supply of liquid nitrogen. The result? An outstanding 8001MHz core clock reported by CPU-Z. For the fit attempt, OC Team Italy also used a 1, 7 core voltage (1,6 real voltage with an steep drop), 2x1Gb Cellshock PC8000 memory kit and a 1Kw power supply
Download PDFThe fine Art of Commenting“Commenting is a royal pain in the posterior” - “Comments are for weenies” - “I can understand my code quite well, thank you very much” - “Good code speaks for itself” - “No time for that, got to get that code out of the door”. Admit it, you have said some thing along these lines at least once during your coding career. Maybe you even now still are in this kind of frame of mind. Negative attitudes towards commenting may have several reasons:
Programmer's hubris
Lazyness
No time left for documentation due to deadline constraints
None of these is a good reason for not commenting source code properly. We will look at these arguments, discuss them and take a look at good commenting practice and its benefits. As SharpDevelop is intended to be an IDE for all languages supported by the .NET platform – and others, if support is available – this text will not discuss language specific commenting issues. Knowledge of all languages referred to is not necessary for the understanding of this paper.
Programmer's Hubris
A good programmer is always a programmer with something of a well developed ego. Nothing is impossible, everything is easy to understand. So much for theory. In practice, reality checks are in order from time to time. Do you understand all your code after not looking at it for, say, a year? Is legacy code left to you to maintain always obvious at first look, or even after a few weeks of scrutiny? Truth is, most of the timeIntroduction to MySQL on WindowsMySQL is an open source relational database management system which is quite popular for light-weight web applications. Over the last few years, the product has also added some features which allow it to be used for larger business tools. This paper will provide an overview of this software on Windows. MySQL does not have as many features as PostgreSQL, and while many of the more advanced features are not as mature. However one would expect it to perform substantially better than PostgreSQL on Windows because of its thread-based architecture (PostgreSQL uses a process-based architecture instead).
Note for Vista Users
The MySQL installation requires that User Account Control (UAC) is disabled. If you do not do this, the installation will fail when the system tries to start the service, even if the user allows the change. To disable UAC, go to the Control Panel:

Download manualVW Passat B5 A-Pillar Gauge Pod Installation InstructionsSome 2001 and later Volkswagen vehicles use A-pillar mount airbags. A-pillar pods should NOT be used on these vehicles.
1. Remove a-pillar trim by locating upper seam and prying outward. Use clean hands and avoid using any type of tool to pry. Once a small opening is created at the pillar top, use some force to release the 4 plastic mounting clips. With a-pillar cover pulled out, lift upwards and remove completely.
2. On a clean surface, lay out gauge pod and a-pillar trim. There will be a faint imprint on the a-pillar trim outlining the top of the dashboard. The bottom (plastic) edge of the gauge pod should be positioned to follow this line and rest on the dashboard. The dashed line in the drawing below represents the top of the dashboard.
3. Line edges up and wrap the fabric tabs over the a-pillar trim. Use sharp scissors to precisely notch the tabs where any protrusions of the pillar trim exist. Use masking tape to secure fabric tabs during test fitment. With gauge pod positioned, test fit the assembled gauge pod and a-pillar trim to check fitment. Adjust as required.
4. Once you have the pod positioned correctly, begin to mark the a-pillar trim for drilling.* See diagrams below for approximate positioning of the hole to be drilled. The hole should be at least 3/8” in diameter to accommodate tubing and wiring. The position of the hole should be such that the tubing can easily route from the gauge without any sharp bends.Model A Ford Third Brake Light Installation GuideThis manual should serve as a guide for. installing a third brake light kit ...
