ActionScript Coding Standards TutorialMacromedia Flash applications have generally been built without regard to particular standards or guidelines. While this flexibility allows for a wide variety of solutions to a problem, it also makes it difficult for anyone other than the author of an application to understand the code. Even the author may have difficulty reading his or her own code after it is written. If a developer cannot understand the code in an application, it will not be easy to debug the code, make changes, or reuse the application.
This documents outlines a system of best practices specifically designed for coding with ActionScript and building applications with Macromedia Flash. Applications that use these guidelines should be more efficient and understandable-and the underlying ActionScript code will be easy to debug and reuse.

When using a desktop computer with a scanner that is designed to emulate keyboard input, the scanner is wedged into the cable that connects the external keyboard to the computer (hence, the term wedge scanner). Since a laptop keyboard is internal, there is no cable accessible to use a standard wedge connection for a scanner.
However, most laptops make provision for an external keyboard via a separate keyboard connector (or port). Since the scanner connections to the laptop are different from the connections to a desktop computer, the scanner must be programmed specifically to operate as an external keyboard device. This is accomplished by using the programming codes on page 9.

The following section outlines the minimum recommended computer requirements for the WWRE®’s member companies and their trading partners. The first two sections, “Internet Access” and “Hardware”, outline recommendations that are to some extent flexible. For example, the WWRE recommends a computer with a CPU clock speed of 400 MHz.
This means that a computer with a CPU clock speed of 366 MHz can be used, but it may result in a slight degradation in performance. The reverse applies as well. A computer with a faster clock speed, more memory, or a faster dedicated network connection should also experience better than average performance.
The sections titled “Operating Systems” and “Browsers” are less flexible. These sections outline specific information on the supported Internet browsers and machine operating systems for the Auctions application. Using a browser or operating system outside of the supported list could result in application anomalies or errors
Download pdf WWRE Auctions User Configuration GuideIntroduction to C# 2.0C# 2.0 introduces several language extensions, the most important of which are generics, anonymous methods, iterators, and partial types.
• Generics permit classes, structs, interfaces, delegates, and methods to be parameterized by the types of data they store and manipulate. Generics are useful because they provide stronger compile-time type checking, require fewer explicit conversions between data types, and reduce the need for boxing operations and runtime type checks.
• Anonymous methods allow code blocks to be written “in-line” where delegate values are expected. Anonymous methods are similar to lambda functions in the Lisp pro- gramming language. C# 2.0 supports the creation of “closures” where anonymous methods access surrounding local variables and parameters.
• Iterators are methods that incrementally compute and yield a sequence of values. Itera- tors make it easy for a type to specify how the foreach statement will iterate over its elements.
• Partial types allow classes, structs, and interfaces to be broken into multiple pieces stored in different source files for easier development and maintenance. Additionally, partial types allow separation of machine-generated and user-written parts of types so that it is easier to augment code generated by a tool.
This chapter introduces these new features. Following the introduction are four chapters that provide a complete technical specification of the features.
The language extensions in C# 2.0 were designed to ensure maximum compatibility with existing code. For example, even though C# 2.0 gives special meaning to the words where, yield, and partial in certain contexts, these words can still be used as identifiers. Over time, the great armies of the Western Frontier and the Tundran Territories have fought each other to a standstill. Gorgi, Tsar of the Tundran Empire and supreme commander of its military forces, will soon pass the reins of command to his son and heir, Marshal Nova.
The Marshal has a more modern outlook than his father, and with Nova in charge, some dare to dream that a real and lasting peace might yet be possible… They now abide by a treaty guaranteeing mutual sovereignty, their two vast empires separated only by a thin strip of land– a Demilitarized Zone. Both sides monitor each other closely, primed to retaliate in the event of a preemptive strike. But on the other side of the DMZ, General Herman of the Western Frontier is spoiling for a fight; it’s been too long since Frontier troops saw combat. Brigadier Betty has a plan to get the men fighting fit and keep an eye on the Tundrans at the same time

It can be used in many industries and many ways. The most comprehensive documentation is in the main manual, ‘diagradoc.pdf’. This is a supplementary tutorial intending to provide step-by-step instructions for a first-time user.
Many users are working in the fund management industry producing highly similar charts. This extra manual provides step-by-step tutorial to create several data-aware fund related charts. It is intended to be used with a sample database, delivered in a file ‘diagracharts.zip, which includes both data and runnable chart modules similar to the ones described herein. This manual is still being expanded, but should be sufficient to let a first-time user create a working data aware chart and carry out basic procedures. In the meantime feedback on what to add to this tutorial would be most welcome.

The Audi A3 was the most important new model launched during the past year. Selling over 92,000 in its first year in production, the new A3 is even more successful than its predecessor. With the launching of new top models, the spotlight was once again on “Vorsprung durch Technik”:
The Audi S4 is the first car in its class to have a V8 engine with a displacement of 4.2 litres and an output of 253 kW (344 bhp). It was launched in Europe, the USA and Japan in the course of the year. A new range-topping version of the Audi allroad quattro appeared in April 2003 with a 4.2-litre engine developing 220 kW (300 bhp). The special flair of an eight-cylinder makes it even sportier on the road; it is as agile as ever on rough terrain.
The Audi A8 has been available as a 4.0 TDI quattro developing 202 kW (275 bhp) since May. This is the most powerful V8 diesel in the luxury segment.
The Audi TT 3.2 quattro is equipped with a superlative 3.2-litre V6 engine with an output of 184 kW
Download Audi Models Manual BooksNissan X-Trail Road Test PDFThe X-Trail is quite a roomy and comfortable vehicle for its size. Head and leg room in both the front and the rear seating positions is adequate for most adults. The front bucket seats offer reasonable support and shape, although the cushions could do with some additional bolstering to further improve lateral support. The rear luggage area is quite spacious with the added versatility of a split fold rear seat. A hard plastic finish is used in the cargo area that is practical and easy to clean, but tends to look cheap. One of the first things you’ll notice once seated in the driver’s position of the X-Trail is that all the instruments are located in the centre of the dash, rather than behind the steering wheel. In fact, the entire layout of the dash is rather unusual.
Nissan claims that it is an innovative design, but I found the unconventional positioning of the controls and instruments a little annoying. In particular, all the vents are located below the level of the steering column and failed to blow enough cool air towards your face on a hot day. The handbrake lever felt particularly flimsy and the bold interior trim is certainly not conservative. The X-Trail has quite a robust feel on the road that is typical of many larger four wheel drive vehicles. The all-new 2.5 litre engine delivers strong performance throughout the rev range that is on par with Honda’s new 2.4 litre engine, found in the CRV. Generally, the
