The cable between the two S-Video Baluns must respect the pin configuration of the baluns. The twisted pairs must correspond to the correct pins and the polarity must be respected. That is, Pin 1 on one end must connect to Pin 1 at the other, and so on for the other seven pins. Each of the following pin-pairs constitutes a twisted pair; Pins 1&2, Pins 7&8, Pins 4&5, Pins 3&6 as shown in the following diagram.
