DownloadPCL Printer Control Language Users Guide and Reference ManualAVERY DENNISON PCL is a description language for the AVERY DENNISON PCL printers. PCL allows a user to describe a tag layout to a printer. Also PCL allows a user to send multiple sets of information to a printer. These sets of information will be printed using either a tag layout that was sent to the printer using PCL or a tag layout that is stored on the printer.
A tag layout is known as a format. A format contains all the physical descriptions of a tag or label. These descriptions include tag size, sense mark position, field positions, field types, field sizes, etc..., everything the printer needs to know in order to build and print the tag or label. The formats can be sent to a printer using PCL just prior to the information that is to be printed or the formats can reside in the printer. If the formats reside in the printer then PCL is only needed to send the information that is to be printed.
The multiple sets of information are known as Batch Data or just Batches. Batches consist of character data sent to the printer in the order specified by the format. This information is plugged into the format and a tag is created. The number of tags to be printed using this information is known as the quantity. The quantity is also sent with the batch data.

BODY AND FINISH:
The Astra convertible is built by design specialists Bertone in Italy, and their work is impressive both from the car’s good looks and the quality of the conversion. The power-operated soft-top has triple fabric layers for better heat and sound insulation, and has a scratch-resistant (and heated) glass rear window. There is also a detachable windbreak screen that clips in behind the front seats. The soft-top can be raised or lowered from outside the car via the remote key, or by a button on the console. I’ve driven the Convertible during inclement weather and the hood proved to be both weathertight and free of undue wind noises. The Convertible’s body also impresses as being much stiffer than some other convertibles, with a pleasing absence of scuttle shake over rough surfaces. Compared to the standard Astra hatchbacks, the SRi version getsIntegrating Components with Visual Studio .NETVisual Studio .NET presents a great deal of information about controls and other components you use in the development environment. When you drag a compo- nent from the toolbox into your project, VS.NET appears to know everything about it—the events and properties it supports are displayed in the property panel, neatly categorized, with a short description available for each member. Some controls have their own unique interactive editing features. Many add extra items to Visual Studio .NET’s menus. You might suspect that this level of extensive and often highly specialized support is something that is available only for the built-in controls, but that is not the case. Visual Studio .NET has a very open architecture for allowing components to customize the way in which they integrate with the environment.
Basic Integration
To build components that exploit Visual Studio .NET’s integration facilities, you must understand the basic mechanisms involved. Component integration relies heavily on the .NET runtime’s reflection mechanism—the facility that allows type information to be examined at runtime. VS.NET uses reflection to discover what properties and events your component provides.
Strictly speaking, Visual Studio .NET doesn’t use reflection directly. It uses the TypeDescriptor class and its friends in the System. ComponentModel namespace. These provide a virtualized view of type information, which allows a component’s properties to be extended dynamically. The TypeDescriptor API is implemented using the reflection API however..
