  • Overclocking can significantly boost game performance and ... known to have betteroverclocking ability, so that they can benefit from greater system Overclocking is about running your computer faster than the standard speed; you can run all of the key components faster than their factory settings – CPU, VGA card, motherboard & memory. Overclocking can significantly boost game performance and even simple desktop tasks, meaning more performance from your system for no extra money. When building a PC, some people will deliberately choose components which are known to have better overclocking ability, so that they can benefit from greater system performance. Can it damage my system? Yes, but its unlikely. Generally speaking, when computer hardware is pushed beyond its limits, it will crash, lock up, or show other obvious erro long before it gets to the point where system components might be damaged. The exception to this is if extreme voltages are used when attempting to overclock. • The RFC API SAP Reference Guide
  • RFC with External Systems In the SAP System, the ability to call remote functions is provided by the Remote Function Call (RFC) interface. This interface allows for remote calls between two SAP Systems (R/3 as of Release 2.1 and R/2 as of Release 5.0D), or between an SAP System and a non-SAP system. The present section describes how to write RFC partner programs that run in non-SAP Systems. If you are writing RFC programs in an SAP System, see RFC-Programming in ABAP [Ext.]. Client and Server Programs RFC programs for non-SAP Systems can function as either the caller or the called program in an RFC communication. There are two kinds of RFC programs: RFC client and RFC server programs: The RFC client is the instance that calls up the RFC to execute the function which is provided by an RFC server. In the following, the functions that can be executed remotely will be called RFC functions, and the functions provided by the RFC API will be called RFC calls. How to implement external RFC programs You have two options for implementing external RFC programs: • Use programs generated by the RFC Interface Generator (see The RFC Generator [Ext.]. These are stub programs you can install on your workstation or PC to call up SAP function modules. The RFC Interface Generator in the SAP System lets you generate the stubs and download them to your machine. Download PDF for The RFC API SAP Reference Guide
  • Web 2.0 Handouts
  • During the 25 years that I have delivered professional development activities for educators, I have always tried to model the technologies and techniques that I was teaching. In recent years, the efforts have had less to do with specific technologies, software products, services, and much more to do with philosophies where learning happens as part of continuing and multi-dimensional conversations among learners and teachers, and others on the Net. This is what the emerging new web, web 2.0 has done to my vision of education. I have long abandoned the print handout, using it only under those conditions where they are expressly requested by the people who pay me for my services. Otherwise, I point to my web site at the beginning of the presentation demonstrating links to web pages that provide a variety of digital resources for the topic at hand. Until recently, these have been static html documents or pages that were derived from content management systems. The first time that I installed a wiki engine on my web server and produced a web page that could be edited by any visitor to that page, I saw this as the perfect vehicle for providing access to digital content for my workshop participants within the context of education as conversation philosophy mentioned above. Fairly early in the evolution of my wiki handouts, I selected MediaWiki (http://mediawiki.org/) as the engine for my online handouts. Its robustness, richness, availability of various extensions that have been developed by an open-source community of programmers, and security
  • SCAAS: A Secure Authentication and Access Control System for Web Application Development
  • Web sites today face many threats to the confidentiality and integrity of the data used and the functionality provided by the application. This problem is compounded by the fact that Web developers are simply lack of either adequate knowledge and skills in writing secure Web application codes (Huang et al., 2005) or sufficient testing methodologies for the audit and control of Web development (Mansouir and Houri, 2006). Works in the design and implementation of security measures for Web applications are greatly in need. User authentication and data access are becoming two of the most common areas for web attacks when procedures such as single sign-on and authentication delegation have become practically indispensable for e-business environment (Paulus, 2001). These two types of on-line vulnerability can be counterattacked by securing user account database that opens the gate of the application and by encrypting SQL connection that leads to the data store. This paper describes the design and development of a Secure Authentication and Access Control System, herein referred to as SCAAS, implemented as a reusable library that provides data- driven and encryption-based authentication and access control for the use with ASP.NET applications. SCAAS employs Microsoft SQL Server to persist the security definitions that the SCAAS run-time system utilizes. The SCAAS database will be herein referred to as the SCAAS User Registry. The system also provides an ASP.NET based administration application that is used to maintain the data in the SCAAS User Registry. • Classroom Suite Access QuickStart
  • Classroom Suite is accessible to keyboard, mouse, IntelliKeys, and switch users. IntelliKeys IntelliKeys is IntelliTools’ award-winning adaptive keyboard that connects to Windows or Macintosh computers. The original IntelliKeys was created in 1991. IntelliKeys USB was introduced a decade later. Both IntelliKeys models (Classic and USB) offer a range of access settings to meet the needs of people with various disabilities. Access settings can be customized for individual students. IntelliKeys is most powerful and versatile when used with IntelliKeys overlays. IntelliKeys Overlays The IntelliKeys keyboard works in conjunction with interchangeable IntelliKeys overlays. An overlay is a printed sheet of paper or plastic that is placed over the touch sensitive, front panel of the IntelliKeys. Each overlay has a keyboard layout printed on it that may correspond to an on-screen document. Simply insert the appropriate overlay and begin working. Pressing a printed key on the overlay sends the desired information to your computer. Using overlays, a student can type letters, enter numbers, navigate on-screen displays, or execute menu commands. A teacher can also customize IntelliKeys access settings for a student using the IntelliKeys USB Control Panel or Setup Overlay. IntelliKeys for Switch Users IntelliKeys has two built-in, programmable switch ports allowing the IntelliKeys to be used as a switch interface. Many commonly used switches can be plugged into these jacks. In addition, the keyboard itself can behave as a two-key keyboard, thus replicating the actions of two switches. One switch area (one key) covers the entire left side of the IntelliKeys touch-sensitive surface, while a second switch area
