  • Ajax and Java development made simpler Part 4
  • Create JSF-like components, using JSP tag files Learn how to use deferred values and deferred methods in custom JSP tag JavaServer Pages (JSP) and JavaServer Faces (JSF) used to have different variants of the Expression Language (EL). Their unification in JSP 2.1 opened new possibilities, allowing you to use deferred values and deferred method attributes in your custom JSP tags. This article shows how to develop Java™ Web components based on JSP tag files, which are much simpler and easier to build than the JSF components. JSP and JSF are the most important Java standards that we use today for building Web applications. The philosophies of these two technologies are quite different, however. With JSP, the underlying mechanisms are simple, you control what is happening, and you have the freedom to do things how you want. JSF adds some complexity and processing overhead, but the application model is standardized, which means tools can do more for you, vendors can provide component libraries, and developers can focus on building applications. As Parts 2 and 3 of this series demonstrated, you don't really need a complex framework for building Web forms. If you like simplicity or if you need to develop a Web application quickly, you can use the JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL) in combination with tag files and dynamic attributes. You'll be able to customize your components very easily, controlling the HTML output and the HTTP requests. Using the JSF framework together with a good component library may be the right choice if you are

  • Beyond Good and Evil - Walkthrough Games Cheats Hints & Trainer PC pdf
  • The success of Ubisoft as we know it started right at the time when Beyond Good and Evil was launched. Right about then, they’ve started publishing only games that would later prove to be fantastic franchises like Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia. BGE wasn’t recognized right from the start as a great action adventure but it caught on after Ubisoft became one of the largest publishers in the world. Here is a walkthrough that can shed some light on some of the most difficult parts of the game: Lighthouse After the intro finishes, start attacking the Domz as they come near you. This is an easy fight, just keep combining each one in turn. There are two different combos you can do: First, tap the mouse button 3 times in a row, and you’ll hit twice, followed by a powerful third blow. Second, if you tap the mouse button twice, then pause, then start tapping some more, you’ll start a spinning attack, dealing MUCH more damage. Either way, you should have no troubles here. Once you’ve defeated the Domz, Jade is taken below ground to confront a very large, dangerous Domz. Pey’j runs in to rescue her. As this battle starts, charge up your Dai’jo staff (Hold down Attack) to break out of the spikes that hold you. Run up to the boss, and attack his Eye. After a few hits, spikes rise up and the boss’ eye will rise out of range. When this happens, charge up the staff
  • A Rough Google Earth Guide
  • Google Earth is a virtual globe program, allowing viewers to visualize data on top of displayed satellite images of the Earth’s surface. Launched in 2005 and released to the public in 2006, Google Earth fast became a household name hailed as a revolution for humanitarian development, much as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) were several decades ago. According to MapAction, “There seem at present tobe two distinct groups of humanitarian practitioners: those who are already, albeit tentatively, exploiting Google Earth and related geospatial methods in their work, and those whowill be, as soon as they see their first demonstration of its potential.” (MapAction, 2008: 9) As a geospatial program installed on the computer, Google Earth users have access to detailed imagery constantly downloaded, as different areas are panned or zoomed. It is possible to use Google Earth without an internet connection, but functionality is limited to low resolution satellite imagery, imagery cached on the computer from recent use, and locally saved KML (Keyhold Markup Language) files. Google started the ‘Google Earth Outreach’ program in 2007 to help US and Europe-based non-profit organizations use Google Earth and Maps in their work. This program provides tutorials and case studies online, granting Google Earth Pro licenses to qualifying organizations interested in using Google Earth. Using This Guide There are currently several versions of Google Earth offered, ranging from a free Basic, to a Professional version available for US$400. This guide is designed for those who are using Google Earth Basic 4.2 for PC, and some notes may not apply to
  • BMW 3 series: Axle production PDF

These production facilities were used to produce the differentials as well as front and rear axles for the BMW E46 series. Since then, the two companies have been co-operating continuously. Jendamark Automation also provided the axle production lines for ZF Lemförder in China, building the BMW E90 and E60 series axles. Download BMW 3 series: Axle production PDF from www.pc-control.net
  • Manipulating Microsoft SQL Server - Database Security
  • This paper will not cover basic SQL syntax or SQL Injection. It is assumed that the reader has a strong understanding of these topics already. This paper will focus on advanced techniques that can be used in an attack on a (web) application utilizing Microsoft SQL Server as a backend. These techniques demonstrate how an attacker could use a SQL Injection vulnerability to retrieve the database content from behind a firewall and penetrate the internal network. This paper is meant to educate security professionals of the potential devastating effects SQL Injection could have on an organization. Web applications are becoming more secure because of the growing awareness of attacks such as SQL Injection. However, in large and complex applications, a single oversight can result in the compromise of the entire system. Specifically, many developers and administrators of (web) applications may have a false sense of security because they use stored procedures or mask an error messages returned to the browser. This may lead them to believe that they can not be compromised by this vulnerability. While we discuss Microsoft SQL Server in this paper, this is no way indicative that Microsoft SQL Server is any less secure than other database platforms such as Oracle or IBM DB2. SQL injection is not a defect of Microsoft SQL Server – it is also a problem for every other database vendor as well. Perhaps the biggest issue with Microsoft SQL Server is the flexibility of the system. This flexibility is what allows it to be
  • An eye-tracking study of information usage in Web search
  • Web search services are among the most heavily used applications on the World Wide Web. Perhaps because search is used in such a huge variety of tasks and contexts, the user interface must strike a careful balance to meet all user needs. We describe a study that used eye tracking methodologies to explore the effects of changes in the presentation of search results. We found that adding information to the contextual snippet significantly improved performance for informational tasks but degraded performance for navigational tasks. We discuss possible reasons for this difference and the design implications for the better presentation of search results. As an increasingly large fraction of human knowledge migrates to the World Wide Web and other information systems, finding useful information is simultaneously more important and much more difficult. In 2000, Jansen and Pooch estimated that 1 in 28 Web pages that users viewed were search results pages [11]. Today, search is among the most important activities that Web users engage in. Beyond the Web, search is a central activity for users of corporate intranets, specialized databases (from shopping to Medline), and increasingly for personal archives of documents and email. Given the importance and ubiquity of search, it is remarkable how similar almost all search interfaces are. Users typically type a few words into a query box and receive a rank-ordered list of search results comprising document titles, brief descriptions of the objects and some metadata about the results. On the Web, such interfaces are extremely effective, considering the incredibly
