  • The security risks of AJAX/web 2.0 applications
  • The web 2.0 concept is not sufficiently defined to allow a critical discussion of it, but we can discuss AJAX (asynchronous Javascript and XML). This concept, which underpins many web 2.0 sites, repackages and applies existing technologies to achieve a new structure for internet applications. Unfortunately, increased flexibility creates conditions for new security problems. To understand how AJAX alters the security landscape for web application testing it is necessary to show the fundamental differences between it and traditional internet application models. Traditional internet model A web browser requests a webpage, normally indicating that the request is being processed by animating a logo and altering the status bar. Internet Explorer, for example, animates the chequered flag. Figure 1 summarises this interaction. When the user clicks on a link, an HTTP Get request is sent to the server. The web server deals with the request, and sends the web page to the client. If the client is to send information back to the server, another request is made following the same process. Under this synchronous ‘click-and-wait’ communication method, information is exchanged by requesting and receiving whole web pages. While waiting for the server, the user loses the focus of the application and cannot interact with it. This loss of focus has long been a source of dissatisfaction with traditional web applications, and if the wait for a round trip from the server is sufficiently long, users may leave the site. The AJAX-enabled internet model In this model a client requests a webpage. Once this full page is

  • Volkswagen Polo SE Manual 3-Door Hatch PDF
  • Volkswagen says that the new bodyshell has best-in-class torsional rigidity, with significantly enhanced safety qualities. The new Polo scored four stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. Everything about the body spells high quality; from the excellent paint and trim finish, to the solid feel of the doors and rear hatch when closing, and to the small panel gaps that are achieved through laser welding processes. The body, which is made from high-strength galvanized steel, carries a 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty. However, the Polo isn’t quite as ‘concentrated’ as it used to be. The new body, with its stylish looks, is longer, wider and taller. This has brought some welcome improvements to interior space, both for occupants and their luggage. Polo buyers can choose between three model types. There’s a base (price leader) Polo 3door, and there are S and SE variants in three and five door versions. Automatic or manual transmission is available on all models. Prices start at $19,800 for the base three-door, the S 3-door costs $20,800 and the SE 3-door is $22,500. Prices for the five-door models are $21,800 (the S) and $23,500 (the SE). Automatic transmission costs an extra $2,000. The base model comes with dual front airbags, five lap-sash seat belts and five head restraints, electro-hydraulic power steering, engine immobiliser, heated and power adjustable exterior mirrors, steering column adjustable for tilt and reach, a single CD audio system and a 60/40 split fold rear seat. The S model adds air conditioning,, but you have to
  • Renault Clio Sport Basic Manual PDF
  • Workshop Repair Manual 345 and Technical Note 3286A Features of Renault Clio Sport SPL lighter version (see manufacturer’s plate) | The injection computer receives a signal from the power steering pressure switch (which can be displayed on the diagnostic tools). The injection computer does not adjust the engine idle speed. ELECTRIC CORRECTION ACCORDING TO BATTERY VOLTAGE AND ELECTRIC POWER BALANCE The aim of this correction is to compensate for the drop in voltage due to operation of a power consuming component when the battery is at low charge. To achieve this, the idle speed is increased, which increases the speed of rotation of the alternator, and this increases the battery voltage. The lower the voltage, the more significant the correction. Correction of the engine speed is therefore variable. It begins when the voltage drops below 12.8 V.The idling speed may reach 900 rpm maximum. Note: After a cold start and lengthy idling, a sudden drop in engine speed to approximately 150 rpm may be noticed. PETROL INJECTION Adaptive idle speed correction PRINCIPLE Under normal hot engine operating conditions, the idle speed Opening Cyclic Ratio signal value varies between a high value and a low value, so that the nominal idle speed is obtained. It is possible that during variations in the operation of the vehicle (running in, engine clogging, etc.), that the Opening Cyclic Ratio (OCR) could become close to the highest or lowest values. The adaptative correction on the idle Opening Cyclic Ratio allows the slow variations of the engine’s

  • 3D Quick Start Guide: 3ds max to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio
  • This 3D Quick Start Guide is designed for the multimedia designer who is new to the 3D capabilities of Director® Shockwave® Studio and the 3D artist/animator who is unfamiliar with Director® 8.5 Shockwave® Studio. Our goal today is to animate an American-style football player, kicking the ball over the goal post. This character was created in 3ds max™ 4 and animated using character studio® 3, proven software solutions from Discreet. You will find a number of assets in the .zip file. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to take these assets into Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio and create an interactive 3D sequence, playable on the web. The player is kicking the ball over the goal post. The character is animated to perform a series of motions in sequence along a single timeline, i.e., an idle motion, a jog start, a kick sequence, a sprint with arms up and a jog stop. The football is animated to leave its start position, fly over the goal and bounce on the other side. The goal is to take these assets into Director Shockwave Studio and to make them interactive. The tutorial begins with 3D creation tips and tricks for preparing the character mesh, skinning it onto the Biped® skeleton using Physique® and animating the character. Both Biped and Physique are character studio features. It then discusses the 3ds max Shockwave Exporter to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio in the "Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio Environment" options and what happens when you
