MAPSTER 2.0 TutorialMAPSTER has been designed to provide easy and intuitive access to fish and fish habitat information for a widely dispersed and diverse group of individuals. With the release of version 2.0, there have been many changes in the appearance and functionality of MAPSTER. To help new or returning users, this tutorial has been prepared to review the application's tools and features.
The tutorial has been divided into four units :
1. Navigating the Map introduces MAPSTER's interface and toolbar while working with different map layers. Basic tools to explore and locate information on the map are also covered.
2. Creating Data and Maps covers the use of markup tools to create new datasets. Steps to distribute finished maps using the print and email functions are also presented.
3. Advanced Features showcases various methods to access attribute and spatial information from the maps. Users will also work through examples to add CHS charts and shapefiles into the map view.
4. GIS Maps and Data provides a description of the web pages found on the HEB GIS Unit website.
The MAPSTER interface is divided into several frames, indicated in the picture below:
• Tab Frame - contains a number of functions to interact with the map and the map layers. The tab frame also provides access to the application's help file and background information.
• Toolbar Frame - contains several tools used to interact with the map.
• Map Frame - contains the interactive map.
• Information Frame - displays information about the map and allows users to work with map layers.Defeating Compiler-level Buffer Overflow ProtectionBUFFER OVERFLOW ATTACK SARE THE most popular method intruders use to gain remote and privileged access to computer systems. Programs that fail to use appropriate bounds checking can allow an attacker to write data beyond the intended boundaries of a buffer and thus possibly corrupt control structures in the program. This enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code with the same privilege as the victim process. An attacker’s preference is usually to overwrite the saved instruction pointer that is pushed onto the stack before a function call or to overwrite a function pointer that will be used later in the program. It is also possible to use these attacks simply to overwrite other data.
This kind of attack is harder to prevent but, fortunately, is less common than the previous type and is not discussed here. Buffer overflows first gained attention with the release of the famed Morris worm which exploited a buffer overflow in fingerd [1]. Despite the attack used in the Morris worm, buffer overflows did not become popular until the release of two papers that detailed the discovery and exploitation of these vulnerabilities [2,3]. This paper discusses vulnerabilities in two compiler-level protection mechanisms, StackGuard and Point-Guard. While this paper takes a critical look at both of these solutions, it does not intend to make them seem insignificant. The attacks described in this paper help to show how StackGuard and PointGuard should be complemented to construct a more complete protection system.

Overclocking is about running your computer faster than the standard speed; you can run all of the key components faster than their factory settings – CPU, VGA card, motherboard & memory. Overclocking can significantly boost game performance and even simple desktop tasks, meaning more performance from your system for no extra money. When building a PC, some people will deliberately choose components which are known to have better overclocking ability, so that they can benefit from greater system performance. Can it damage my system? Yes, but its unlikely. Generally speaking, when computer hardware is pushed beyond its limits, it will crash, lock up, or show other obvious erro long before it gets to the point where system components might be damaged. The exception to this is if extreme voltages are used when attempting to overclock. Key elements of basic overclocking When overclocking a computer, the processor, system memory and motherboard all have

But most people have only a vague idea of what Web 2.0 is about — and what it is not. They tend to think of Web 2.0 as a collection of websites and fancy web-based applications. What they don’t see is the shift of paradigm that Web 2.0 brings — and the emergence of new technologies under the surface.
Defining Web 2.0
If you ask 20 people in the IT industry to define what Web 2.0 is, it is most likely that you will receive 20 different answers. This shows one of the main problems when talking about it: Web 2.0 is not a fixed standard or product, and the viewpoint of the individual influences his perception of Web 2.0. For consumers or journalists outside the industry, Web 2.0 is a number of applications, websites and interfaces — Google, Flickr.com or even eBay. From a developer’s perspective, it is a collection of APIs, formats and code. And a CIO or CTO of a large company might see a new approach for software architecture that helps him to improve his application landscape.
But it is hard to write an article about a new trend without giving a proper definition of it, isn’t it? Though my definition is definitely subjective, I tried to find some least common denominators. In my opinion, Web 2.0 usually includes one or more of these elements:

DO NOT USE this document to update PHP on 10.5.x Leopard Server. An separate tutorial is available. It will guide you through updating to the latest version of PHP4 without breaking Server Admin functionality. Furthermore you will be shown how to update to the latest version of PHP5, while retaining most of Server Admin's functionality.
Although the Apple included version of PHP4 is suitable for most users, there are situations where one might need to update. A common reason is to include support for the GD2 libraries. This document will require you to use the command line. If you do not feel comfortable with using the command line, you should look for a ready made installer package.
Why should I use the command line if there are ready made installer packages available? Short answer: Greater flexibility. Long answer: The packages available, reflect the creators' views on what should or shouldn't be included in the package. By understanding how to install things yourself, you can choose what to include in your PHP build.
This document is written for Mac OS X 10.4.x. However, it should apply to 10.3.x as well. Be aware though that I have not done any particular testing of this procedure on 10.3.x. Update 2.0 for your AWE Tuning RSK04 fueling kit applies to 2000 S4s. (Update 1.0 upgraded intake boot plug to aluminum and only affected early kits) After considerable testing, we have found it necessary to convert the 2000 S4 Bosch Mass Air Flow sensors (MAF) to the later 2001-02 Hitachi design. Not only is the Hitachi sensor much less prone to failure than the Bosch sensor, it also allows us to fine tune some drivability issues found with the Bosch sensor.

With Transporter, you can also listen to internet radio stations, set alarms, display RSS feeds, and more! Transporter was designed to appeal to the most discerning audiophiles and music lovers. It streams digital music with sound quality that surpasses even the most exotic compact disc players.
At the heart of Transporter is a “no compromise” attitude to component selection and electronic design.
The rotary TransNav™ controller uses dynamic tactile feedback to provide fast access to any song even in the largest music collection. The sleek, backlit, infrared remote and dual fluorescent displays make it easy to use from anywhere in the room. Transporter’s back panel features a complete set of professional-grade connectors, including both balanced and unbalanced signals for its analog and digital interfaces.
Transporter’s AK4396 “Miracle DAC” was chosen for its high dynamic range and low distortion. Its low out-of-band noise allows for the use of low-order output filters with higher cutoffs, resulting in preservation of phase and reduced distortion in the audible band. This extraordinary accuracy at higher frequencies allows Transporter to resolve the exact staging of instruments and the finest details of any recording. In addition, Transporter’s digital inputs allow its built-in DAC to be used with other sources.
Transporter’s digital path is not only “bit perfect”, but also extremely accurate in timing precision. Clock signals in Transporter are handled not as ones and zeroes, but as precision analog signals.
