A. First, connect the power adapter to the receptor at the back panel of the DI-724GU and then plug the other end of the power adapter to a wall outlet or power strip. The Power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation.

The WAN LED light will illuminate to indicate proper connection. If the WAN LED is not illuminated, please go back to step B1 and repeat the instructions.
C. Insert an Ethernet cable to LAN port 1 on the back panel of the DI-724GU and an available Ethernet port on the network adapter in the computer you will use to configure the DI-724GU. The LED light for LAN Port 1 will illuminate to indicate proper connection. Note: The LAN Ports on the DI-724GU are Auto-MDI/MDIX. Meaning you can use a straight-through or crossover Ethernet cable to the LAN Ports.

In the paper, we discuss the importance of VO integration for existing toolkits and discuss the possible solutions. We introduce two efforts in the field from China-VO project, "gImageMagick" and " Galactic abundance gradients statistical research under grid environment". We also discuss what additional work should be done to convert Grid service to VO service.

We just use Quake III Arena as an engine for a very different context than what the game itself is about, but I think that it can be a useful reference nevertheless for those Quake III Arena enthusiasts that, using already Maya to model, texture and animate their characters, would like to see them fighting in Quake III Arena.
Although this tutorial is based on Maya, this is not a Maya tutorial. Knowledge of this tool will be given for granted. It is not a step by step modelling, texturing and animation tutorial (there are other tutorials out there covering these areas pretty well already), although I’ll give some tips on some of these areas. What this tutorial is about is the workflow we use at VWA to get our information from Maya into the Quake III Arena engine, with the intention to clarify some concepts and dark areas where almost every user trying to make this process for the first time most probably will hit hisDNA: variations on a theme in MayaIn this tutorial, we’ll explore different methods for modeling, rigging, and animating DNA. There are many ways to approach this macromolecule in Maya and each has its merits depending on what the model will be used for in your scene. We’ll start with a simple ‘plank’ DNA model that is roughly based on what is known about the molecule’s proportions, and then look at different ways to deform it. Next we’ll import a PDB coordinate set for B-DNA and experiment with different representations using particles. These first two methods assume that the helix does not need to unwind and melt. Finally, we’ll go over a programmatic approach to building DNA using PDB data for a single base pair – this method will allow us to twist and unzip the double helix.
Modeling plank DNA
In this first exercise, we’ll create a stand-in model for B-DNA that could be useful in schematic animations where atomic resolution is not required and melting of the double helix is not necessary. Here’s a quick overview of the process: 1) model a base pair with polygons, 2) animate its rotation and elevation to use the ‘animated snapshot’ tool, 3) create 2 NURBS curves slightly offset from the base pair, 4) use the ‘animated sweep’ tool to extrude those circles and create the backbone and finally 5) ‘duplicate special’ to create additional helical turns to the model prior to rigging.
