Download PDFIntegrating Components with Visual Studio .NETVisual Studio .NET presents a great deal of information about controls and other components you use in the development environment. When you drag a compo- nent from the toolbox into your project, VS.NET appears to know everything about it—the events and properties it supports are displayed in the property panel, neatly categorized, with a short description available for each member. Some controls have their own unique interactive editing features. Many add extra items to Visual Studio .NET’s menus. You might suspect that this level of extensive and often highly specialized support is something that is available only for the built-in controls, but that is not the case. Visual Studio .NET has a very open architecture for allowing components to customize the way in which they integrate with the environment.
Basic Integration
To build components that exploit Visual Studio .NET’s integration facilities, you must understand the basic mechanisms involved. Component integration relies heavily on the .NET runtime’s reflection mechanism—the facility that allows type information to be examined at runtime. VS.NET uses reflection to discover what properties and events your component provides.
Strictly speaking, Visual Studio .NET doesn’t use reflection directly. It uses the TypeDescriptor class and its friends in the System. ComponentModel namespace. These provide a virtualized view of type information, which allows a component’s properties to be extended dynamically. The TypeDescriptor API is implemented using the reflection API however..

The first is by going to a school which offe automotive training. This usually includes hands-on learning along with classroom studies. The other way is by working at a repair shop with an experienced mechanic who can teach proper repair methods and see that the work done
Download PDFMeta Stock Formula Primer ManualIntroduction Equis has been supporting MetaStock for some years now and has frequently had questions from customers on how to write their own indicators, system tests, or explorations. The commands are printed in the manual, but most inquiries stemmed from people who had no idea how to begin. The MetaStock formula language involves some basic programming concepts and this seemed to have frightened many users into not even trying. This text explains, in small incremental steps, what the MetaStock formula language is and how it works. Soon you’ll know how to write a MetaStock function.
Confidence will increase and you’ll bravely combine two functions into a single indicator. Amazed at how easily you did this, you’ll start using more until you suddenly realize, you are writing your own system tests and explorations. If you don’t believe this, then start reading chapter one. Be patient and follow the exercises. Please type in the formulas as they are shown and try them in MetaStock. You will get the most from this text if you actually do the exercises while reading the relevant sections. The more you use a program, the more comfortable you will be with it. Conventions used in this Document Throughout this text, you will receive instructions on using MetaStock and creating sample formulas. Below is a list of the symbols and special text used to distinguish these instructions and alert you to possible points of interest. Bold Bolded text refers to menu commands. What is a Java Server page (JSP)?
Combination of JSP scriptlets/tags and HTML/XML tags Has the extension .jsp or .jspx Extension means JSP engine at the web server will process elements on the page JSP engine interprets tags, generates required content, then sends results back as an HTML/XML page to the browser Typically compiled into Java servlet classes the first time called Classes remain in server memory, so subsequent calls have very fast response times

The battery’s internal circuitry prevents the battery from overcharging. When you connect the computer to an electrical outlet or install a battery while the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the computer checks the battery charge and temperature. If necessary, the AC adapter then charges the battery and maintains the battery charge. If the battery is hot from being used in your computer or being in a hot environment, the battery may not charge when you connect the computer to an electrical outlet.
The battery is too hot to start charging if the battery light flashes alternately blue and amber. Disconnect the computer from the electrical outlet and allow the computer and the battery to cool to room temperature, then connect the computer to an electrical outlet to continue charging the battery. For more information about resolving problems with a battery, see “Power Problems” on page 118. Replacing the Battery CAUTION: Using an incompatible battery may increase the risk of fire or explosion. Replace the battery only with a compatible battery purchased from Dell. The battery is designed to work with your Dell computer. Do not use batteries from other computers with your computer. CAUTION: Before performing these procedures, turn off the computer, disconnect the AC adapter from the electrical outlet and the computer, disconnect the modem from the wall connector and the computer, and remove any other external cables from the computer. This is not, however, the only difference between Debian and the other distributions.
The second, equally important difference, is Debian’s strict adherence to the “Free Software” ideal. It is quite impressive, when you think about it, that this distribution is composed of freely redistributable software, complete with source code. Now, most other distributions also supply source code and these same programs, but they will also put packages into their distributions that can not be redistributed under certain conditions, without any concern for the legal problems that they deliver to their customer. Users of the Debian distribution can be assured that what they find in that distribution will have no constraints on the free distribution and modification of that software, leaving them free to build “value added” systems from this Distribution without fear that they will find themselves in court for misuse of someone else’s intellectual property.
Debian provides areas within the archives for packages that do not meet these rigid standards, but are desired by the Debian community. Because of its free software status, the Debian packaging system can be used to package software that does not meet its own standards for free distribution.
Packages that are not freely distributable are found in the non-free section of the distribution. An additional category, called contrib is for those packages that would otherwise be free, except that they depend on some other package that isHow do I Apply the Microsoft Excel 2007 Analysis Toolpack Regression Chart Bug Workaround? There is a known issue in the Analysis ToolPak of Microsoft Excel 2007. The Regression tool in the Analysis ToolPak in Excel 2007 does not display residual and line fit plots correctly. For more information on this problem please see: http://itinfo.mit.edu/article.php?id=8494
This issue has been documented to Microsoft and a hotfix is currently being developed for release by the end of September 2007. In the meantime, a work around has been implemented for users who need to use the Regression Tool.
Step Procedure 1 Once a regression analysis is run, users will only see one residual plot for the first column of data. Any additional residual plots and all line fit plots will be missing (this is the bug; see picture below). The workaround involves an Excel Add-In that has been installed on all Haas Terminal Servers. The workaround installs a button called Fix Regression Charts which is located under the Data Analysis button on the Excel 2007 menu
