  • Maya Lab Tutorial I Sample
  • Before modeling anything, it is important to gather and study good reference material. It is also helpful to create templates for use in your modelling program. A good underlay will provide the modeler with exact dimensions and subtle detail that might be overlooked if modeling from memory. In this tutorial, we will import a template to use as our modeling underlay and apply it to an image plane in Maya. An image plane is a 2D object that is perpendicular to a particular camera view in Maya. The bitmap image (template) is connected to this image plane and aligned in the world space by editing the image plane’s attributes. Once this is set up, the modeling process is ready to begin. The modeling technique used for the pill bottle requires that we provide one half of the bottle’s profile. We will begin by placing control vertices at key points along this profile to create a curve. Once completed, the curve can be edited to correct for anything missed in the drawing process, and CVs can be moved so that the curve more closely matches the profile in the underlay. This profile curve will be used as the input for a revolve operation to generate the surface. We will also organize the project by naming the objects and assigning them to their own display layers. • ISOXpress NET Manual Config IsoXpressData Share
  • There is normally no need to manually create and configure the IsoXpressData share. The share is created on the server by the ISOXpress Server Utility application. The only time you must be able to manually create and configure the share is when you have a none-windows server (for example Linux Red Hat). Knowing how to configure the IsoXpressData share manually will be also helpful when troubleshooting the server connection, and for quick configuration when you are temporarily moving the IsoXpressData folder to another computer. Creating ‘IsoXpressData’ share on the server Before creating the share, make sure that your computer is not configured for simple file sharing (you will need the full set of options). To do this, open the Control Panel and double-click on the Folder Options icon. Now, find the IsoXpressData folder that you previously copied to the server, right-click the folder and select Sharing and Security... form the context menu. In the Folder Options dialog that opens, select the View tab, scroll the settings panel to the bottom, and make sure that the Use simple file sharing box is unchecked (uncheck it if it is checked). Click OK to save changes and close the dialog window. Download pdf ISOXpress NET Manual Config IsoXpressData Share

  • Landrovers for On Road Response Engineering Manual PDF
  • Landrover, by its very nature, is a market leader for off road use over every type of terrain in this country as well as abroad. It has been produced in short, medium and long wheelbase form with every conceivable body type imaginable. Its attributes are well respected across a wide spectrum of users ranging from the military to the farming community and the precedent it has set has been the envy of off road vehicle manufacturers the world over. Whilst the vehicle is of a robust and sturdy build, it is very heavy and sluggish in performance, which is the reason high and low gear ratios and differential locks were introduced to assist in its prime task – to be capable of ascending and descending most gradients over every type of eroded surface. That said, it is fair to say that the vehicle has not been developed and perfected with on road response capability in mind, and drivers using the Landrover to make progress will find it is not particularly suited to that task. The acceleration is slow, the turning circle wide and cumbersome and the general handling heavy and tiresome. For this reason, the speed limit set for the road will in most instances be the safe maximum limit for the vehicle and the vehicle should be driven under response conditions to those limitations accordingly. The East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service Landrover pump is derived from the Landrover LWB TD 130 (130” wheelbase) chassis driven by the Turbo
  • ASTIGMATISM - Blurred Vision and Tired Eyes Why do things look blurry
  • Astigmatism is a very common focussing error of the eyes which causes blur. It is caused by the shape of the eye, usually due to the cornea’s surface or occasionally due to the eye’s lens being tilted. Sometimes astigmatism can be inherited but it often happens as a normal characteristic of growth. Blur from astigmatism is not like that from myopia where all of an image is equally blurred, because some parts of the image are more out of focus than others. If you look at the line diagrams, you can see the effect of astigmatism by tilting the tip the page down and facing away from you the lines running across the page are less distinct than those running away from you. The blur of astigmatism makes things uncomfortable to look at, difficult to focus and may cause headaches, tiredness and poor concentration. What about tired eyes? Astigmatism can also result in fatigued eyes, especially if you are concentrating on anything for a long period of time, whether looking up close (for example, studying or computer use) or in the distance (for example, driving). • Forensic Analysis of System Restore Points in Microsoft Windows XP
  • Investigating computer intrusions can be a complicated matter. Attackers are continually hiding their malicious code, erasing or modifying log files, and finding new techniques to minimize the trace evidence they leave behind. After reviewing nearly 200 compromised systems in the last 12 months, I have often become frustrated with the lack of evidence found on victim systems after the intrusions took place. In fact, the exploitation and post-exploitation techniques used by current attackers almost always thwart traditional physical media analysis practiced by the majority of computer forensic examiners. Therefore, we have to continually improve our techniques, and add investigative steps that used to be rare, but now must become commonplace to the forensic examinations we perform in support of computer intrusion cases. Several new investigative steps we have added to our repertoire include in-depth examination of System Restore points. This article is the result of a case study on an investigation conducted in the United States. This case demonstrates how computer forensic examiners can review System Restore points to establish an event timeline and unearth well hidden clues that assist in understanding how a computer system had been compromised. Without review of the System Restore points, our investigation would have fallen very short of answering the questions promoted by the case. • 3D Quick Start Guide: 3ds max to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio
  • This 3D Quick Start Guide is designed for the multimedia designer who is new to the 3D capabilities of Director® Shockwave® Studio and the 3D artist/animator who is unfamiliar with Director® 8.5 Shockwave® Studio. Our goal today is to animate an American-style football player, kicking the ball over the goal post. This character was created in 3ds max™ 4 and animated using character studio® 3, proven software solutions from Discreet. You will find a number of assets in the .zip file. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to take these assets into Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio and create an interactive 3D sequence, playable on the web. The player is kicking the ball over the goal post. The character is animated to perform a series of motions in sequence along a single timeline, i.e., an idle motion, a jog start, a kick sequence, a sprint with arms up and a jog stop. The football is animated to leave its start position, fly over the goal and bounce on the other side. The goal is to take these assets into Director Shockwave Studio and to make them interactive. The tutorial begins with 3D creation tips and tricks for preparing the character mesh, skinning it onto the Biped® skeleton using Physique® and animating the character. Both Biped and Physique are character studio features. It then discusses the 3ds max Shockwave Exporter to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio in the "Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio Environment" options and what happens when you
