  • 7 Things You Should Know about Google Earth Pdf Paper
  • Alexander is writing a paper about the Lewis and Clark expedition, focusing on a critical decision. When the party arrived at a fork in the river in June 1805, the crew believed the north fork was the proper route; Captains Lewis and Clark thought the south course would get them to the Pacific Ocean. Alexander looks at the area on Google Earth.Com, which helps him understand the geography of this part of Montana. Alexander decides to supplement his paper with a visualization from Google Earth. He has a complete set of Lewis and Clark’s maps, in JPEG format, from their journey. He carefully overlays their maps onto the im- ages in Google Earth, adding placemarks for important milestones. Once he has the journey superimposed on the satellite images, Alexander creates a screencast of himself navigating across the country toward the coast, following the route that the explorers took. His screencast narration touches on the events and circumstances that led to the decision at the fork near what is now the town of Great Falls. The images help explain the quandary the party found themselves in, as well as how they came to know they made the correct choice of the southern fork. Alexander also shows where the north fork would have taken the explorers and includes a hypothetical scenario about the difficulties the group would have encountered had they gone that way. • In a world ruled by grandiose city builders like the SimCity and Caesar series that pretty much outmatched everything else, a shy attempt at making city managing fun came in the shape of the Caribbean island governing simulator. You are El Presidente! It is your choice whether to be a dictator, a pious leader or a capitalist thinking ruler. The South American music style accompanies you throughout your entire career. All sort of missions are available – from getting a certain amount of revenue out of a specified industry (tourism or a production facility) to attracting a certain number of tourists, leading your small nation to the history books as a thriving society, lead as a Capitalist or a Socialist, install Martial Law if you want and a lot of other funny missions (like determine your people to work all day long instead of taking naps all the time or construct an airport as soon as possible to get a few castaways off your island). If you ask me, this is the funniest and most captivating city builder title ever and it really doesn’t deserve for you to cheat your way through missions. But I do have to admit, it’s sometimes driving you mad not being able to get that last ten dollars you needed to win the mission. Oh, and those ungrateful people not voting for you in the fair elections after all you’ve done for them… Well, you may have a point here, a few cheats won’t hurt. Download pdf

  • 2006 Civic Navigation System User Manual, to help avoid map icon clutter, some landmark icons can be turned off by touching the ICON button on the lower left corner of the main map screen or by using Display or Hide voice commands. Furthermore, specialty types of restaurants (such as Chinese or Italian) can be individually displayed or hidden by selecting Icon Options after pressing the ICON button. You can view the entire list of available landmark icons by selecting Map Legend from the Information screen (more details given later). If you leave the calculated route, Recalculating is displayed at the top of the screen. The system will recalculate the route from your current location and direction to the desired destination and then give you a new route instruction. This Rerouting feature can be set to manual in Set Up if desired (more details given later). Off-road tracking: If you drive more than a half mile from a mapped road, the map starts displaying a series of dots (breadcrumbs) to show the path you have taken so you can backtrack if necessary. You can change your present route at any time by pressing the MENU button, which allows you to do any of the following: o Add a Waypoint (waypoints are searchable pit stops along the way, such as a gas station or restaurant — waypoints appear on the map as small red flags) Reroute (change route method, detour, avoid a certain

  • Buying Tires Guide: How to Get the Right Tire for You
  • Due to the large number of factors involved (such as speed, road conditions, inflation, vehicle maintenance, your driving habits, temperature), it is impossible to predict a firm figure for expected tread life. Tires should be inspected regularly and replaced when the tire is worn down. 1. Checking for Wear Tires are worn out when there is just 1.6-mm (2/32-inch) tread depth remaining. This can be measured with an inexpensive tread depth gauge, available at most auto supply stores. In the absence of a gauge, here are two quick methods to check to see if your tires are worn down to the point of replacement. A. The Tire Wear Bars Tires are manufactured with “wear bars” (see Figure 1) that indicate when there is less than 1.6 mm (2/32 inch) of tread depth remaining. When the tread is worn down to the point that the wear bars are flush with the tread, the tire must be replaced. Figure 1: Tire Wear Bars Exposed Wear Bars (replace the tire) B. The Penny Test The Rubber Association of Canada suggests this simple test to measure the tread depth on your tires. Place a penny into a tread groove with the Queen’s head down and facing you. If you can see the tips of the crown, it’s time for a new tire. Figure 2: The Penny Test Crown Fully Exposed (replace the tire) The Autosmart Fact Series 2.
